For anyone having trouble getting MMOD to work after the 20th Anniversary Update, I will post possible fixes / ways of troubleshooting here in this top comment. For missing textures and other goofiness because of the 20th Anniversary Update, try: - Have Half-Life 2, Ep 1, Ep 2 and Lost Coast installed (not just the anniversary edition). You can find these in your Steam library by going up to where it says Games on the top left, click the drop-down, and check Tools as well. Now the original versions should appear in your library. Make sure these are installed. - Right-click Half-Life 2, go to Properties and to Betas. Here, click the drop-down next to Beta Participation and select the "steam_legacy - Pre-20th Anniversary Build". This should auto-change Ep. 1, Ep. 2 and Lost Coast to the steam_legacy version, but if not just repeat this process for each of those. - Other Possible Fixes: One potential problem is due to where Half-Life 2 / sourcemods is located on your computer. So, if MMOD doesn’t show up in your library there are a couple things we can check. 1. Make sure that sourcemods is on the same logical drive as your installs for Half-Life 2, Episode One, and so on. If you have Half-Life 2 installed on C:\, install sourcemods on C:\ as well. If you have Half-life 2 installed on a secondary drive, like D:\, install sourcemods on D:\. 2. If you do have everything installed correctly like this and it is still not working, and you have Steam installed on a secondary drive, a gimmicky solution you can try is to copy your sourcemods directory and go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps and paste that sourcemods directory right there, also. Then restart your Steam and see if MMOD shows up for you. 3. If you don’t know where your Steam installation is, an easy way to find it is to go to your Steam Library, right click on Half-Life 2 which hopefully you have installed already, go to Properties. On the left side, select “Local Files” And then go over to Browse. Now you can just go up the directories to steamapps, and there you go. - 4. It is possible you will also need the Source SDK Base 2013 Singleplayer installed. If your game is still not showing up / working, you can install the SDK Base 2013 Singleplayer. To do this, open up your Steam library and at the top left where the magnifying glass is, type in sdk base. In the list under Tools, you should see the "Source SDK Base 2013 Singleplayer". Install that, and then restart your Steam. - 5. If the mod isn't showing up still, you can check your "Hidden Games" on Steam and see if it is there. To check this, go to the top bar and click "View" and then "Hidden Games". Now, in the library panel on the left you should see all of your hidden games. Check if the mod is in there.
I am attempting to install the MMod for the 20th Anniversary version, and Steam just doesn't see the MMods. I read down below that someone stated that regardless of what drive HF2 is installed on; you still need the sourcemods folder on the C: ; so I made a duplicate Steam/steamapps/sourcemods folder there as well...still no-go.
Maybe its because of the 20th anniversary edition? You can try these instructions i made for Half-Life 2 Overcharged, and see if they fix the issue. I have been trying to understand why for some people it doesn't work, even with the fixes in the pinned comment. The issue I have is that I can't replicate the problem. But I am going to try and dig around and see if I can't figure this out. Could you tell me what you are running? Like which version of Windows, if you are using a secondary hard drive, which Half-Life games and mods you have installed, things like that?
@@yomiisupergames having the same problem as OP, im running windows 10 and have all Half Life 2 games installed including 2013 singleplayer source SDK and nothing shows up. Now I did install a mod called SMOD and that showed up just fine and it had the same install as MMod does.

One potential problem is due to where Half-Life 2 / sourcemods is located on your computer.

5. If the mod isn't showing up still, you can check your "Hidden Games" on Steam and see if it is there. To check this, go to the top bar and click "View" and then "Hidden Games". Now, in the library panel on the left you should see all of your hidden games. Check if the mod is in there.
You most likely wont see this, but it wont work for me. Ive done everything, made a folder for sourcemods, and it still wont work, i put it in steam library to see if that worked, nope, didnt, ive tried alot of stuff and need help.
@@GordanFreeman23 If you go up to the search bar in the Steam library and search for MMOD does it show up in the search???
@@yomiisupergames im using the same drive i have half life in, and ive tried reinstalling steam. sorry for taking a while
I’m new to modding, how can I install any MMOD addons? Specifically the one where I can actually aim down sights?
If I could get some help. The game won’t launch for me. I set my sdk 2013 beta to upcoming like I’ve seen recommended but it still won’t launch I can’t find much more information about it.
So MMOD appears in Steam, but crashes when you launch it?
Me here trying to manage
Blender Files, Unity Files, Movies and Games in a 1 Tb hardisck
Mean while this guy 0:54
dang my guns are invisible. i tried deleting and reinstalling, even restarted steam and it doesnt work
Try this and see if it works, and let me know if it does:
- Have Half-Life 2, Ep 1, Ep 2 and Lost Coast installed (not just the anniversary edition).
Let me know if this works for you, or if I need to update any of this.
@yomiisupergames okay I tried it and it works now. Thanks a bunch 🙌
im sorry i do not have half life 2 bought im too broke to spend money on my fav games so i usually crack them most of the files come the same as the bought ones is there any chance it actualy works with cracked version too ?

Hey do you know why the chapter selection you can only use the first one?
I've been playing hl2 mmod in chapter cannal and i want to check chapter 2 to see mods.

This might be because of the anniversary update, but I'm not sure.
