4:45 yoooooo, i never noticed that they implied that Gabe rolled over on a request as well after being offered Robert’s grandfather’s medal. I wonder what he was thinking when he was in the room when Robert offered it to Dwight Either he realized he got played by Robert’s first move, or he is such a suck up to his core that he thinks “what a great man Robert’s grandfather was to win multiple medals! Im so glad to be following a man carrying such strong genetics!”
You know that storyline where Erin and Gabe play scrabble and he comes up with a theory she's living out a Slumdog Millionaire style adventure where all answers somehow relate to her past? This episode is that in fact happening to Erin and her team
Doing a rewatch of the Office has shown me that despite the conventional understanding that season 8 was a low point in the series, so far there have been some pretty good episodes in the season. The episode was funny and for me personally it coincided with the start of a long stretch of me attending pub trivia nights that only ended when the pandemic hit.
I always wondered too if this was supposed to be tied to the tattoo episode. Even if it is, though, I don't think that episode ever suggested that Andy had made up the 8% growth from that, they had just met Jim's insane numbers for rewards. This was a fairly interesting episode though.
I have to take this opportunity to point out that the BereSTAIN Bears Mandela Effect is sort of addressed here with the team named "The Queerenstein Bears". I'm a big "It was definitely the Berenstein Bears!" girl, so this episode tickles me because of that.
Kind of like this one as my wife loves trivia and I often suspect I might have brain damage, but I still end up attending a lot of bar trivia events with competitive weirdos who know too much about like Andrew Jackson but couldn’t change a tire if you paid them. So seeing smug Oscar get his is oddly satisfying to me.
Omg! I say "oh yeah" whe eating something I haven't had in a long time everytime even silently! Ctfu it wasn't just from this it's Wario too. That's crazy though I forgot why when I do it I tend to giggle. 😅
I disagree with you that this would have been better with Carrell. The benefit of an episode like this was that it gave us a chance to focus on the other characters. I do not think the writers would have done that during the Michael era especially since Michael has such a loud personality. That is why there are so many episodes where he is just separated from the main cast and everybody else has a chance to just react to things.
Can’t watch the clip right now, but I think the point was that if Carrell was in the episode, the IMDB ratings would immediately jump up (not my rating).
@@Mulverine I get your point but I still do not think it have worked as well. It might have been better to put Carrell in the Florida trip that Dwight did and then replace Ryan or Meredith in Dunder Mifflin A Team or the Einsteins.
Trivia is a Season 8 classic. It's even got Steve Carell in it. EDIT: Dang it. I guess Steve Carell isn't in it. At least Alex Jones is next to the fake Steve Carell.
As is my wont again I disagree with you. When you argue trivia is useless, you have to realize that all information is technically trivial. But I think it's cool that I know all the capital cities, world cup winners, first 30 elements of the periodic table etc etc. Might you have a chip on your shoulder about education perhaps?
Mulverine that is actually the air force achievement medal. It's a lower level medal. The medal of honor has stars on it. From what I can tell on this blurry picture. Sorry for being that guy😅 I might be wrong
1/5 field guide, you didn't mention that the trivia host and the credit card guy from the seminar episode were both from the paranormal activity series
Dwight struggling not to correct Robert when he says alligators are dinosaurs is my favorite
It's complicated.
This episode and the pool party are back to back BANGERS 🤘
S U!
I’m finding I get my fix of the Office from your field guides moreso than rewatching the actual show now. Keep up the great work Chris, and thank you.
Can we talk about the fact there is an $800 prize at a Trivia Night?!?!? I need to fine one of those!
That might make me humor Applebees again.
This is genuinely a highlight episode for me

This is one of my favorite episodes. Loved the underdogs
The actress who plays the receptionist in the Florida Sabre office is the Toyota spokeswoman in so many commercials.
"I'm glad you're on our team"

Found this channel like two weeks ago, been watching a bunch of the videos, and finally get to watch a new video as its coming out!
3:23 i believe that episode was called “Lanch Party”

Trivia is one of my favorite episodes in the latter half of the series.
DAMMIT KELLY IT KNOWS!!!!!
IT KNOWS WHAT YOU DID!!!!!
fucking kills me everytime😂😂😂
Yay! I LOVE these videos

That fluke joke was almost Arrested Development level.

Andrew Jackson was orphaned at 14 when his mother died of cholera
Wow, you're definitely not defensive and insecure.
@@jeffmaehre7150 I'm not! Ask your mom.
11:10- "I have wrote and re-wrote...". Pretentious people can't help but tell on themselves.

4:25 bro that is a shit work schedule. Literally everyday after work goes and flies to work then after thet flies back

Point of order: the ass tattoo was for 5,000 points, not 8% growth
Thanks, man.

they literally tell you a fluke is a fish…
Idk why and I don’t think this is true but Gabe is giving a Syracuse vibe
3rd favorite post Michael episode
I do believe Gabriel Susan Lewis attended Sarah Lawrence but im not totally sure
Where do I send the check for my Eagle Eye certificate?
11:08 "I have wrote and rewrote scripts for field guides..."
Well, you needed to rewrote this one. Because it's "written and rewritten." 😁
Gabe went to Florida State University?
Is it Penn State?
Idk why but it makes me sad to see Michael in post-Michael field guides
One of the few tolerable episodes in season 8.
This is my favorite episode from season 8 (which I generally don't like at all)
