    Question, since the led bulb has the fan for cooling when you installed the rubber plug for the dust will it prevent a proper cooling??

  • @wqrahmad.k

    I bought these after watching your video. My 2018 ford transit is getting a bulb fault code when I start the van. Lights still seem to work however I am concerned about the fault code.

      @@ElMusico825 No. I have read about installing a resistor. Also that ford can reprogram the computer to recognize the LEDS. Haven’t had time to stop by a Ford dealer yet. Lights have been working fine since I installed a few days ago.

      Likely need a canbus compatible bulb. My understanding is that they communicate with the ecu and because they don't have the same power draw the computer thinks the bulb is bad

    • @davidreynolds3082
      @davidreynolds3082 Месяц назад

      Get resistor packs. The car/truck's computer sees that the LED's aren't drawing as many amps as the halogens did and therefore thinks the bulbs are faulty or have blown. A resistor pack on each bulb wiring will increase the amperage draw and trick the computer into thinking all is well.
      Cost - $10-$30 for a pair.

    I personally don’t like these Led Lights mainly because the people coming at me that has them makes me blinded. Not to mention the higher up pickup trucks. It’s a safety issue on the road. Don’t get me wrong I would love them in my 7.3, but I don’t want to blind others.

      @@FixItNickNever remove the cover as dust and moisture will come inside. Second issue with having LED on a stock halogen headlight is in Winter because LED does not produce enough heat to warm up headlights when it snows you will have issue because the snow will stay on the headlights. 55W halogen standard lamps produce enough heat to keep the snow melting. Also you should lower the headlights cause it is obvious they will be all over incoming traffic. I considered bying these but would never use them in Winter especially in regions where it is snowing to much.

    Error no.1: don't fit 360 degree- chipped LED bulbs - they're crap and spill light everywhere, hence them blinding and pointing way too much light into the opposite carriageway. This causes lots of accidents! The old bulbs had a nice cut-off level but were just a bit old and dull.
    Error no.2: You shouldn't fit LED bulbs to reflector-type headlights - it's illegal due to them blinding. You can usually get away with fitting them into projector lenses due to their cut-off shutters.
    Error no.3: They're still set too high, hence them blinding the camera when it's not even at the same level as the lights.
    Error no 4: You blocked the fan's airflows when you refitted the rubber splash covers. You should cut a 1" hole centrally to the bulb in the cover to help airflow and to avoid the bulb overheating and blowing.
    ;)

    "nothing crazy" - bro, there's no beam pattern. its completely blown out of proportion. the cut off line is completely gone. the best leads are bidirectional... pointing the led chips at 9 o'clock & 3 o'clock position

  • @zoltanv7289
    @zoltanv7289 6 месяцев назад

    It has no cutoff line! The beam pattern is so bad, its actually nonexistent. You cant call it a beam pattern, its just a blob. The kind of chinese crap that had 0 r&d put into them, zero engineering thought was put into the firing point, basically it doesnt try to mimic a normal bulb(more expensive leds try that, with limited succes, those have somewhat okay beam pattern and cutoff lines) while yours was hacked together thinking "if it lights up everywhere there should be some light that shines on the road AS WELL. Most goes into the eyes of others, and the rest is just wasted as unusable light. I would take this out, and put it into a trashcan, if you want led, buy OSRAM/SYLVANIA/PHILIPS. All this auxito, auxbeam, are hot crap
