I wish producers cared about creating matches like this more than the drama. These two lucked out. This was probably an obvious match for them but I know they also put couples together strictly for drama.

It a might seem great now, but life has so many twists and turns, so many uncertain blips in the road that test true love. No one escapes the unpredictable side of life, it happens when we least expect it.
When everything is going good, it's great, but the true testiment will be when adversity comes knocking!!! Will they be able to rise above the turbulence of the emotional ocean, with each other!! Will the stand side by side fighting for the same goal and outcome. Will their faith in life, goodness, sadness, hope, loss, fear, friendship, tragedy, all align in harmony. And will their loyalty prevail throughout. Love is not about the amount of time you have been with someone, I get that, but it does have to do with experience and knowing how to adjust not only your own sails, but that of your partners, to ensure you both return to a safe harbour......

Why men marry women like this is mind blowing. I think he is too scared to voice his opinions cause she will get upset if she doesn’t get her way. No compromise. She says she wants to have a baby without even talking to him about it. Also changing his whole house around. I just don’t get it. If I was a man. I would run run run.

Some of that house stuff was a bit exaggerated for the show/edits… they got on brilliantly throughout the show and obviously are still together. They have a RUclips channel, though don’t upload a lot.. too busy living a real life which is great.
This is how shallow people get married. This would only work if you solely are relying on looks.
Not really. That just so happened to be attracted to each other but built a connection the more time they spent together. They were put together by experts for reasonings such as their values and life experiences, personality and what they see in the future and they happened to have a lot in common and hit it off right away. Now they have started a family and have a baby together. There's no way that they could last this long and live the life they do together now if it was purely based on physical attraction.

I don't think the romantic type of love is special. And I think that the romantic type of love isn't even real. I mean about more than half of romantic couples either break up with each other or divorce each other, while most platonic best friends remain friends until death.
I think that having a platonic best friend is a lot better than having a romantic partner or spouse is. Having someone who's like a sibling to you is a lot better than having a romantic partner is. Also, you would more likely be much closer to a person who's like a brother or sister to you than you would be with a partner or spouse.
People tend to fight with their partner or spouse a lot more than they do with a platonic best friend, and you never fight with your best friend the way you fight with your partner or spouse. Partners and spouses are just temporary. If you break up or divorce them, it's hard to go back to them. With your platonic best friend, you're going to make things work, because they are your best friend, they are your go to partner. It's always easier to make amends with them than it is with a romantic partner or spouse.
It is kinda sad you have never experienced true romantic love. It is very, very special, deep, intense and beautiful. Yes, with that type of mind, body, soul connection, passions flare and fights can happen, but it does NOT always mean the end/divorce. Yes, maybe 50 percent, but 50 percent STAYS! I have been married to my true lover, best friend, soulmate for 20 years, and it had its tough times, but it was soooo worth it! A platonic friend is truly wonderful, but it can not compare to romantic love. Romantic love transcends just being friends, and enters a very intimate closeness one can only experience through emotional, spiritual AND physical connection. I hope you can remain open to experiencing an intimate, romantic relationship one day. It really is one of the greatest gifts in life.

Like an example is that abuse happens a lot in romantic relationships, while abuse is rare in platonic relationships. So there is a lot of abusive romantic relationships, while there isn't that many abusive platonic relationships.
Why do you think abusive romantic relationships have a term for them called "domestic violence", while abusive platonic relationships don't have a term for them? It's because abuse in platonic relationships is very rare, while abuse in romantic relationships happens a lot.
And also, a lot of people cheat on their romantic partners with someone else, while most people won't do stuff like that with their platonic best friends.
Also, I heard that most people can live a life without romance and can still be happy. But most of the time, if someone doesn't have any platonic friends in their life, it can affect them really bad mentally; much worse than living a life without a romantic partner. In today's world, less people are dating and getting married now, and they seem to be happier being single rather than being in romantic relationship with someone.
Also, you're going to have a much deeper spoken understanding and connection with your best friend than you are with a romantic partner or spouse.
So those are other reasons why romantic love isn't real or special, while platonic love is.

Why do you think most fathers don't act the same way towards their daughter's platonic male friends as they do towards a potential boyfriend? It's because they know there's a much higher chance someone could potentially get hurt in a romantic relationship compared to a platonic relationship.
No matter what, a lot of fathers seem to hate it whenever their daughter has a boyfriend (even if he is a good guy). There are even shirts made for daughters that say "I'M NOT ALLOWED TO EVER DATE" and shirts made for fathers that say "DADS AGAINST DAUGHTERS DATING". There's also a lot of other shirts and merchandise made for fathers that say stuff like "Rules for dating my daughter: #1. You can't!" or "Before you date my daughter, know this: I'm a dad with a shotgun, a shovel, and a backyard."
Most fathers don't want their daughters to have anything to do with boys outside of being friends. Many fathers won't allow their daughters to date when they are in high school or still living with them. I have also heard many fathers on the internet say that they hate the idea of their daughter having a boyfriend someday, and are completely against it. So it seems to me that most fathers don't ever want their daughters to date and be in a romantic relationship with a guy.

I don't blame them though for thinking that way since romantic love and romantic relationships can be a bad thing for someone since a broken heart can cause a person a lot of pain, and there's a lot of risks of someone getting emotionally and/or physically hurt in a romantic relationship.
Platonic relationships don't have that many risks or dangers in them, and that's why most fathers don't make a big deal about their daughters having platonic male friends, but make a big deal when they have a boyfriend (or potential boyfriend). Most fathers usually like their daughter's platonic male friends, while they usually dislike their daughter's boyfriends (or potential boyfriends). So that's another reason why platonic relationships are better.
So those could also be other reasons why the concept of romantic relationships isn't a good thing because of how protective fathers tend to be whenever their daughter dates someone since they are afraid that the boyfriend will be a pervert that will make their daughter uncomfortable (also break her heart or abuse her).

I never disagreed with your "statistics," but you are neglecting the other half that IS successful and happy in their romantic relationships. It is hard for you to understand romantic passion, which, unfortunately, can cause a lot of problems. But on the other hand, it is also a very special, unique, and wondrous thing to experience. Also, I have never had a platonic friend, just my husband, and no mental/ill effects from it. You need to be wary of statistics, as they never tell the WHOLE story. You really shouldn't be judging something as unreal when you have never experienced it. To say that you can ONLY have a deep spoken understanding and connection with a platonic friend is absolutely false. If so many people are supposedly happier not in a romantic relationship, then why is everyone looking for it? There are hundreds of dating sites online for people who want a partner. Also, you seem to forget children are created only through sex, so if you want children you need a romantic partner. If you do not want children or sex, then by all means live your life without them. You seem like your mind is made up about this topic, so that is fine. Be happy with your platonic friends. 😁
