RetroJamm07 if you had said There was going to be a sequel to this game, titled “Ms Pac-Man Maze Madness 2” on the GameCube, PS2, Xbox but it was cancelled possibly due to the formation of Namco Bandai Games what you had said wouldn’t seem a bit pointless
Port reviews in order of appearace. PS1 version may have voice acting and cutscenes, but the muddy graphics make it an eyesore. Worst of the console ports. N64 version has incredibly clean graphics, but lacks the cutscenes of the PS1 and Dreamcast version, and the music sounds muffled. Lack of cutscenes and voice acting isn't a dealbreaker for me, so it's the second best port easily. Dreamcast version takes the higher quality music, cutscenes, and voice acting of the PS1 version, and clean graphics of the N64 verison (and makes them better). This port is a dream!... And the best overall. The GBA version was naturally going to have to make many concessions to work on the hardware, but Full Fat (the GBA version's developer) cut far too many corners with it, with very limited animation and low-quality music. The idea to take poor-quality recorded samples for music over recomposing it for the hardware was incredibly lazy, and likely took more data in the cartridge to do that than have recomposed music. With less data being used for pre-recorded samples (or if they were allowed a larger cartridge size), they could have had some nice animation going on.
Well, at least the GBA version, despite not having the original arcade game from Bally Midway (forcing you to go buy Namco Museum.), retains the original maze gameplay and most of the gameplay from the consoles, so yeah, there's one redeeming quality there in the port.
Okay... PS1 version -- Accessible by most people, easy to find, and best of all, easy to emulate. N64 version -- Slightly better graphics and no load times, but the old N64 controller may take some time to get used to, so use the Brawler 64 instead. DC version -- Best graphics. GBA version -- No Ms. Pac-Man arcade game, forcing you to buy the Namco Museum for the GBA back in 2001.
I kind of the N64 music version here. Fits the game very well. To be fair, it was only released on a 12 Meg Cartridge. So some compression is to be expected!
It so feels like this is the Pac Man World engine repurposed for a more traditional Pac-Man maze game... Pac-Man, Adventures in time for the PC feels really similar to this
The N64 has a bit more quality than the PS1 version, but the cutscenes aren't actually animated, lacks the voice acting, and the audio sounds a bit muffled there. The Dreamcast version is by far, the best version of Mrs. Pacman Maze Madness.
I finished them all in a row, I can say with some certainty. N64 has the best controls, but it doesn't have all the stages, the game is more balanced, you can use a power peel from one scene to another unlike the PSX. It was the version that I enjoyed the most, the only real downside is the audio quality, because the soundtrack of this game is great. Dreamcast is the best overall, it has better visuals, the controls are good, and the sound quality is clear PSX was the original version, it has bad controls to curve in the mazes, it has a lot of loading, and it was the version I liked the least. GBA had a revision of the mazes and puzzles, making them more dynamic many times and also using more mechanics of pressing the buttons in the correct sequence, despite being the simplest version it is very competent and fun.

the Dreamcast was definitely the intended console for this game
This will always be my favorite multi-platform game of the PS1/N64 era

I wish Dreamcast version had the PS1 sound effects, cuz the others sound weird in my opinion lol
The N64 also lacks a couple of levels from the PS1 version but adds different areas in the existing ones
The N64 release lacks those things and muffled sound because of the storage limitations of cartridges (they can hold 64 MB)
They can't all be ports. 1 had to have been made or thought of first
It bothers me way too much that the GBA has the soundtracks in the wrong order.

Actually it was for GCN, PS2, & Xbox. Dreamcast died in *2001* & MM2 was only cancelled due to Namco & Bandai merging in *2006*
En SEGA Dreamcast parece que se veía todo mejor que los demás en su Tiempo... 😅
