Yes, that's right, the animation was indeed French but the production behind it was all American. Just like The Last airbender and The Legend of Korra, both American productions but they've been animated by Studio Mir (a Korean studio). ^-^
W.I.T.C.H. lost in popularity to Winx Club, that Disney wanted to buy Winx, in order to expand their TV business and thair market to Italy. Disney should sell the rights of W.I.T.C.H. to Saban.
Hey, Let's hope Disney sells the rights to W.I.T.C.H. to Saban Brands, so Disney can trade W.I.T.C.H. for Winx Club in a similar fashion to how Disney trade Al Michaels for the rights to Oswald the Lucky Rabbit. That Way, Saban could bring back W.I.T.C.H. in Online form on Netflix (if Disney buys Netflix, Saban's W.I.T.C.H. revival on Netflix will not happen), Hulu or RUclips Red

This came out about the same time as Avatar and I always thought of it as the Sailor Moon to Avatar's Dragonball Z. Had this show been allowed more than two seasons it might have even matched Avatar in terms of greatness.
+mcromu i haven't finished reading the comics yet but so far the 4th arc is the best in my opinion, without spoiling too much Phobos convinces the elder council to kick out the oracle and (kinda) becomes the new oracle and now the old oracle must try to regain his position as oracle. the 3rd arc where the girls are investigated by a secret organisation that is trying to use magic to fight wars by building magical weapons is also very good. it was a shame neither of these arcs were adapted.
Ahh, I liked those arcs too. The third one is actually my favorite. I would've loved to see them animated too :-( Did the arc with the book come after the 4th one? I remember stopping reading after the book arc (but after many years found the comics online and caught up
+mcromu yeah the one with the book came after that and its the war against ludmoor arc and it was really good. And yeah you're right the 6th and 7th arcs ragorlang and new power weren't that good mainly because the villia s were really boring but in on the 8th arc teach 2b witch and so far its pretty good.
I remember I didn't like that the main characters ALWAYS found the way out of impossible situations, it looked too easy and unbelievable. Kirsty de Paor the comic was a lot more interesting and developed compared to the show. I read and watched it, I don't blame you. The show didn't make any sense.
Honestly, I like to view the comic and show as two separate things since they're so different. The show may have the same characters and basic plot, but it did its own thing with the basics instead of trying the stretch out the story of the comics, because we have to admit that there was no way that the story arcs of the comics could fill up around 30 episodes each, and adding stuff in to the story of the comic would be forced, so I find the rebooting of the story in the transition between comic and cartoon a good thing. But, if W.I.T.C.H. does ever get a reboot outside of the comics, I hope that it's a movie that follows the comic.

The whole "one letter from the name" acronym reminds me so much of RWBY. When I found out about that same scheme in RWBY, it immediately made me go back to WITCH.
I forgot how intense that opening was.
dont you mean this?
CJAdams97 no I meant that.
+otakuRANGER ZERO k...
+otakuRANGER ZERO it's like a metal version of sailor moon
an analogy which can also be applied to the entire series

"Let our powers combine!"
"Earth!"
"Wind!"
"Water!"
"Fire!"
"Heart!"
.... "With your powers combine I am Captain Planet!"

Agreed. Such an underrated show!
I remember this show! I was never the biggest fan but I did watch it sometimes when I was pretty little on Toon Disney before it became "Disney XD"
They should make a crossover where W.I.T.C.H and the Winx Club meet and join forces.
yeah that would be awsome
cool
The w.i.t.c.h. are too cool for the sparkle strippers. But yeah, a crossover would be cool :D
they should make this into a live action movie, the concept is adaptable
All of that sounds great, except the crossing over part. #sorrynotsorry
