YAY SMG4 DROPPED
The funniest part about the rating system is that 1/3 of the community thinks they have to leave high ratings so Puzzles will let them go, another 1/3 think low ratings are the key, while the final 1/3 leaves a genuine rating, it’s a mess.
I'm part of that final 1/3, because I'm thinking Puzzles won't let them out either way.
If he gets high ratings, that reinforces that his show is a success and he'll keep going.
If he gets low ratings, he'll probably try even harder to make his show "perfect."
So because of that, I'm pretty sure that's where that final 1/3 come from.
I feel like the views are the key! The lower the views are the more nervous Mr. Puzzles will get, take last week’s episode for example!

I would assume bad rating are the key since, If you did a big, good review, He would keep them to himself. He wouldn’t want them for bad reviews I assume..Although I give them genuine reviews so I can’t say anything
look, I'm the 1/3 that leaves bad ratings (I like the episodes) but for my point, if you noticed, puzzlevision even seems more annoyed with the smg4 crew in every episode, IF you leave bad ratings he will stop doing it, what I mean is, he will think "hmmm they are so annoying that my audience doesn't like them and I can't work with them because of how stuborn most of them are." ( that's my theory)
SO , when you work with bad people (bad teammates, bad group, bad workers, bad bosses, etc..) , you get more tired and you dont see good results so you stop working with them or stop working in projects with them

@@LittleVictorianWitch While it could represent how Mario is seen as an animal by his friends that they might abandon (well mostly in season 12), I think it also symbolizes how he might be aware of the crew being trapped in a simulation. Dogs are known for constantly being aware and capable of detecting whether something is wrong.
Off topic and I might get attacked, but I think if a character is going to die, it'll most likely be Meggy. I mean, sure she's popular and a main character, but what is there to even do with her? Unless Sunset Paradise season 2 happens, she's gone through so much that I think it's time she bites the dust.

8:02 gives me a theory.
Theory: I think that as each episode goes on, the more intense it gets when the SMG4 crew starts finding out that they are trapped. In Mario’s Mysteries it starts off less intense with just showing Meggy, Tari, and SMG3 stuck in the TV. In Once Upon An SMG4, it gets more intense when SMG3 wishes that everyone could escape the world Mr. Puzzles trapped them in. Then in this one, Mario & Luigi find the room where Mr. Puzzles is watching the crew and its the most intense we have seen of them seeing that they are trapped. I’m hoping to see it get more intense with the next two episodes of then finding that they are trapped in a world that isnt their actual world.

Growing up watching *Scooby Doo* , Tari as Velma was honestly the most based out of all portrayals, since both have important role of her intelligence and also clumsy, I knew she would loses her glasses in this episode. At least this was SMG4’s own parody of the series that was entertaining, we can all agree that recent *Velma* spin off should be cancelled 🧡

Fun fact: In one of the frames in the TV room, before the camera cuts to Mario and Luigi, you will see the gameshow on one of the screens but Melony appears infront of the wheel and Mr Puzzles. This could show that Melony might be a contestant of the show.
This actually leads to a theory I've had. Unlike the previous arc villains, Mr Puzzles is meant to be more of an allegorical character. Specifically, he's an allegory for the dark side of the entertainment industry (Sorta like how Heath Ledger's Joker was an allegory of America Post 9/11) . Remember seeing Meggy, SMG3, and Tari begging for help in Mario's mysteries? I interpret that scene as to how lots of scandals happen in the entertainment industry that sadly go unreported since companies care more about their image than the actors involved.

That's an actually good theory about Mr. Puzzles and like how you have he as being a allegory to the dark side of the entertainment industry where he want to put on a good show, not knowing the negative outcome of it;
Like how he had destroy and shrunk Princess Peach's castle into a abyss when he gives SMG4 the demonic keyboard in "It's Gonna Be Prefect" or how he had One-Shot Wren, Meggy's idol, trap everyone, especially Meggy, into a western-themed situation world and nearly drives Meggy insane in "Western Spaghetti" or how he manipulating Marty into stealing SMG3's notebook in "War of the Fat Italians 2023".
So, who's know what Mr. Puzzles' endgame is? Maybe he could've been an reverse reflection of SMG4 of how he want to entertain his audience while Mr. Puzzles go full rather 'dramatic phases', to say the least, kinda like how SMG3 were when he were originally start out as a villain to SMG4 back in the time and stuff.

Look at his role in each passing Puzzlevision episode, he's been getting more roles that allow him to push out the main cast and shine the limelight on himself.
It shows that Mr Puzzles seems to be some kind of Parasite, and his influence only became a thing after SMG4 downloaded Mr Puzzle's keyboard like a moron, even though his Popup was _very_ clearly a virus!
In fact, the whole thing with One-Shot Wren may imply that Wren is a case of Mr Puzzles changing his history, and that in the original verse before Mr Puzzles Hijacked the script, Wren just _retired_ and found a simple job to do after he hung up his splatfest bandolier.
Makes more sense than One-Shot Wren being beaten by _Inkura_ and her not talking to him _after_ she bested him. I mean, seriously, Inkura is the type of person to go "Hey, No hard feelings, Right?" to her opponents after each Splatfest, so having Inkura apparently mock Wren with no remorse?

Note how Mario seems unaffected by Mr Puzzles' mental tricks, resulting in Mr Puzzles having to get physical. SMG4 Mario is not the most perceptive individual of the cast, but that lacking perception ironically also allows him to see the truth for what it is.

At 1:57 I immediately knew something was fucked-up wrong and something is broken.
This has to be one of my favorite episodes so far. I was a huge fan of Scooby Doo when I was younger and so was my mom.
I’ve just gotta say this, and this is mostly a message to the guys over at SMG4, I really like this Puzzlevision saga. From how it has been teased back from It’s Gotta be Perfect. It was a different move that I really liked. I hope there are other things like this in the future; like larger stories taking place over entire years.

I do not think he is rewinding their _Time..._ But their _Perception_ of Time, _and_ their memories. Mr Puzzles' abilities do not seem to work on Mario... And Mr Puzzles is not only putting Mario in the roles of specific animals, but he is also more physically abusive to Mario than any other member of the cast.
This can mean two things: 1) Mr Puzzles bears a grudge on Mario for foiling his plans with Meggy, and 2) Mario normally having a lack of perception now works to his advantage, as it basically means he cannot be fooled by the Perception altering abilities of Mr Puzzles.

Another PuzzleVision Theory:
Mr. Puzzles doesn't consider Mario as a friend of SMG4 and his crew, he's more of a pet for him: Making everyone laugh, jokes around but in last episodes he didn't really act as a main character.
That's why he is always portraited as a useless pet like a deer or an annoying dog, or another dog that just reacts to scary stuff.
I never really thought of it other than I love SMG4 is opening up more to give his cast more character development and longer screen time

The Scooby-Doo parody in an SMG4 video Is just Spectacular!, the fact how the gang were depicted as Scooby-Doo characters like Tari as Velma, Meggy as Daphne, SMG4 as Fred, Luigi as Shaggy and lastly Mario as Scooby-Doo was such an amazing Casting and it seems like that Mr. Puzzlevision has still been setting up these kind of parody challenges for the SMG4 gang to Complete every quest to escape especially when he has already prevented them from being Aware of what Puzzlevision has been doing to them.

I grew up watching Scooby Doo and this made me laugh harder than anything ever
The scary monster being Mr. L from the "TooLate.exe" creepypasta was interesting to see....
And the cameos of Five Nights At Jr.s animatronics, Purple Guy and the missing kids, the FNAF Movie Pizzareia being the location, and everything else was a treat to see!

I love Mr. Puzzles personality, man gets dramatic and he's down right an enjoyable guy to see (if you don't mind the things he does to SMG4 and he's friends that is)
one thing i love about puzzle is his design, his general body honestly fits in well with the crew But his Face is Off compared to the others, so he blends in with the others but still stands out as the odd man out regardless of what role he plays, heck even when his eyes bugle out they dont look right, they clip into his face while Luigi and mario's dont clip at all
Exactly his design is just... off. Compared to the colorful anime like designs of the main SMG4 characters, Mr Puzzles has a rather non standard character design. His movements are far more deranged, his color scheme is much more minimalistic, and he has a smoother almost cel shaded texture. It honestly makes Mr Puzzles look more like a character from something Ren and Stimpy or Invader Zim (For that matter, Mr Puzzles kinda looks like he wouldn't be out of place in any early 90s to late 2000s Nickelodeon or Cartoon Network show). His design gives off the sense that he is someone who doesn't naturally belong to SMG4's world. You kinda get what I'm saying?
I like that you said that because not a lot of people appreciate how uncanny and mysterious Mr Puzzles is. It's almost as if the animators wanted to make him look like something out of my nightmares
I'm a big fan of the jokes/funny bits in this one. Keep up the good work!

The fact it seems like Mr puzzle always know where they are and trying to trap them and when he finds them discovering a place they shouldn't be in, he just rewinds them and block that entrance. It is truly a menacing antagonist

I love how in the moment with the monitors, once the camera focuses on the chase scene, you can only see SMG4, Meggy, and Tari, as both Mario and Luigi are in the room, so they both would logically not be there.
So from what I’ve seen, Mr. Puzzles can rewind time and has been able to spy on the gang, but only recently. While Mr. Puzzles seems mentally unhinged and unstable while off camera, however he can only properly function when he is acting or roleplaying a part. From what I’ve gathered, there are only two possible explanations for him keeping the gang under his control: 1. He is so lonely, that the isolation has caused him to become unstable and insane, hiding away from reality through acting and roleplaying.
2. He simply wishes to be in control of the entire world and the gang was his biggest obstacle in the way. So he tricked SMG4 in the Gotta Be Perfect movie with a keyboard in order to destroy him and his friends so no one could stop him. But when SMG4 and his friends survived, he resorted to what he is doing now. Keeping them trapped and tormenting them.
