Hi Guys - when i saw the Jackery - I'll be honest I nearly turned off as I have seen some many Jackery reviews that I wasn't sure I could watch another. But I stuck at it cos you guys can make most things interesting. But honesty that was the best Jackery review I have seen and I must have seen about 10. Properly tested and reviewed and the only one I watched that convinced me that I actually need one of these - hope you are listening Jackery 😂😂😂. Well done !!!
Aww thanks so much, that means a lot, we are very aware that these videos all come out at once and some are just thrown together quickly so it really means a lot to us when we get comments like this one, thank you, and thanks for watching your 11th jackery review 😁👍
Thank you for the hairdryer and strightner explanation . At last, the reality of life taken into account. I love your channel- its like watching friends.
Thanks Lou, that's been the most helpful review of the Jackery that I've seen and the handle issue is really relevant too Emily 👍 hope AJ is recovering well x
Per usual you guys always do a great comprehensive review. We have the Jackery 500 as we are weekend campers and we love it!! (give AJ a big hug for me)
Very informative…many thanks. I’ve just purchased a Jackery 1500 Pro…….and WOW it’s so powerful 😮 now looking for a Air fryer as I don’t have an oven 😉🚍⚓️🇬🇧🍷👍
Thanks to your vid and another review on another channel, we bought one of these. Just used it for 6 days at download festival for charging phones and watches. Only used 32% of the capacity for about 15 phone charges and 10 watches. So so impressed with it and def worth the investment. Thanks for the informative video. Love your channel.
Top notch, excellent actual review rather than advert. Definitely worth all the effort that I know would have gone into producing that! I’ve got the Jackery1000 runs the CFX35 fridge in my mainly dayvan + charging, extra lighting, etc.
Great revue. No power jackonory vibe - just honesty with no hard sell. One thing I picked up with other reviews is the Jackory performs better on 12 volt output because it is regulated and maintains voltage even when the internal lithium battery is low. You know how to handle Emily 👜
Hi Richard, the original AC50 had issues with regulation, the AC50s, which is the one we have is regulated I believe. Hope that makes sense lol! Thank you 😁👍
Literally a brilliant review Lou. You always explain everything so clearly and in a way that the average Joe understands. Also loved Emily's entrance with the crisp packet stuck to her face! Love you both, and thank you 😊 love to the recovering AJ x
Oh thank you guys that’s what we needed to hear because we are thinking of adding one of theses to our build after C19, we really don’t want or need to much power for our needs (day/weekender). ❤️🇮🇪
nicely done. and looks like a solid product. just for feedback, personally I would have preferred no background music at all in the video. I know a lot of RUclipsrs do this. I really don't understand why.
Hi there, thank you 😁 the music here is just to keep the video moving along and add another layer so its not just continuous talking for 20 minutes, which can get quite boring on the ears lol!
Not a fan of tech reviews unless I'm in the market. But I'll watch and enjoy anything you do ... the humour and asides are just great. Best wishes to AJ. An update please ...
Fab, a decent comparison thank you we’ve gone for the jackery Just a point the solar panel fits fab in the windscreen of the van very handy on a windy day
Hurrah - the girls are back, and on good form as always! Excellent comparison - better than others I’ve seen - and I even understood most of it. And well done for pointing out those small things such as the handle, positioning of entry points and even the dust attracting aspects of them. I’d agree that the Jackery beats the Poweroak, but only by a very small margin. Fab job!
I meant to add, presumably the mysterious little box attached to the solar panel allows you to directly charge your phone etc without the need to go through the main power bank?
Thanks Jane, although we aren't "back back" one more week off so back a week on Sunday, just wanted to get this one out there. It's the little things that add up to big things, and the things no one else but Emily notices lol 🤣😂 And yeh, I think that socket is there so you can bypass the power pack, bloody big phone charger tho!! 😂🤣
Very nice review. I bought a Jackery 240, when it got released in the UK. Great bit of kit for what I wanted for my hobby use, as I have been waiting years for something like this, now tested this week and does the job very nicely. I am also now going to buy the Jackery 500 when funds allow as a home emergency back up in case of power cut such as LED lights, plugging in internet router, so still on line and also my G/F's CPAP machine if she stays over and there is a power cut or we go camping, etc.
I think the music thing depends on what you are playing the video on to be fair, I notice a massive difference between playing it on the computer/phone and TV. According to the audio mixer in the editing software they are bang on. Thanks so much for watching, glad you liked the review 😁😁👍
Lol loved the Em waking up bit with crisp packet stuck to her face lol, snack bandit, Great to see the different types of solar generators is helpful to know before buying them. Thanks guys, Love to AJ and Summer xx sending speedy recovery to AJ, love and hugs to u all, from us all xxxx
I agree with Em. The handle is better aligned and comfortable. It's good that Jackery is now available in the UK at low or free postage. One thing possibly worth feeding back, on UK plugs plugged in the cable exits downwards ideally with substantial strain relief unlike US and European plugs. Looks as if Poweroak sockets are about 1/2" higher.
Hi Al, to be honest they are both too low and stress the cable, we should have bought this up in the review actually, it was on the list but I bloody missed it. It is a design floor of both for sure
Thanks for the review. Capable load is a very important aspect. I am looking at this alongside a couple of alternatives. It is very helpful to get a sensible opinion.
Louise that was the best review we've watched, you explained it in simple terms even I understood 🙂 Its helped us decide which to go for as we've been undecided for a bit. (Just had vision of you on Top gear)🤔 missed you girls. Hope AJs doing good. (Emily you cracked me up) Have a great week 🙏
Glad we could help, lou has a way of explaining things so that I understand them so I think she had developed this skill over the years married to me 😂😂
Very well done, a real credit to you both, very professional, and with the facts and numbers. I often turn off part way through some reviews, because the content is just reading off the manufactures claims, but you got to the point straight from the off, You have just got another sub,
Watts = Volts X Amps so on the inverter with the hair dryer the voltage is fixed at 230 volts and if it peaks at 1000 watts it's taking about 4.5 amps. The internal battery of the Jackery with its higher voltage should be more efficient than the Power Oak but I doubt there is much in it in real-world use. Good review. I plan to use one of these in a day van conversion. Thanks.
Well done Lou, I actually bought the Jackery a few weeks ago, but didnt buy the solar panel as they are so expensive, so looking around and checking prices before i buy one. now i just need a van🤣. As a biker there is one rally this year that is camping with No hook up, so need the power for phones and cameras for 4 days. Great review/comparison. Stay safe. cheers Tom
First time I watched one of your videos. Really impressed for a lot of reasons, that would take to long to explain. Going to check out your other uploads. We have had a Poweroak for a few months now. Strangely we got a decent discount on Amazon so we only paid £350 for it. So far we are happy with it. My only criticism is the fact that the fan seems to run all the time. We do intend to use it to power a fridge so ideally it would be better if it could run low wattage loads, silently. With hindsight I would buy a bigger version than both of these units. Great review guys.
Thanks edege 😁 I think you're right about the fan on the power Oak, it's does eem to run a lot. The jackery is definitely less. Either way they're both great, a bigger 9ne for a fridge could well be worth it Thanks so much for watching 😁👍
well done,a true test and result .i didnt understand much of it watched with my mouth wide open but that could have been me hoping em would drop a sweet in
What a great review. So informative but done in a fun way. Has really got me thinking about what one I should get. Glad Em got involved. Your videos are always interesting, whatever the content.
Hi bought the Jackery 500 this month and we are thinking of getting a solar panel to match but thought I saw on here you had a code to get a discount on it we are pensioners with a small motorhome and only travel local most of two nights because of health problems so we don’t bother with electric so think this would give us enough to last two nights for tv and small travel kettle plus phone charge thank you both love your vids with AJ and Summer xx
Hi ya, I think the code has run out now but email us on campervibe6@gmail.com As we normally get another one coz we work with them a fair bit and I can email it to you 👍
Good vlog as always but the background music was proper jarring ( just my opinion) I think you explain things really clearly and would definitely be beneficial to people who were thinking of buying the product.... looking forward to next vlog x
Like the Idea of an independent power supply at 220 volts and 12 volts/USB especially as they are both Pure sine wave. They both would seem ideal for the boat life community? (Hint Hint) Nice to see you back in Fanny wearing smiles. Stay safe. Ant, Cid & Mr Oscar.
Really good comparison video. Loved it. I’ve already got the Poweroak and like and use it a lot; but it’s good to keep up with how all of these units are developing against each other. Stay safe 👍💙❤️
Nailed it. Kept it simple so even I understood. Also appreciated the time taken to actually review it and make genuine comparisons whilst answering the proper questions people have. If I had a pound for every one of those "can I use straighteners?" questions. Having extra solar panels, built in inverter, Victron MPPT and battery monitor as well as additional USBs and Truma Bluetooth mods added in lockdown I can now appreciate tech specs so much more. But, like Em, I'd rather eat snacks. 🤣
If it's not been said below, the startup limitation is the inrush current for hair driers until back EMF is generated by the motor & the heating element resistance increases due to heating. A great comparison though.
absolutely the best jackery review to date and probably the only one worth watching to be fair. i nearly bought the poweroak last year until my laptop decided to die but i am considering one of these now just as a back up? still sitting on the fence though on brand? good to see you guys in the van again, roll on summer...no, i dont mean roll on the cat lol!
Thanks Jamie 😁 they're both great but unless you need the pd port then the fact the jackery has the bigger inverter wins it for us, you've got more options as to what you can run then. Plus, it would look from reviews that the customer service is better but that's only based on what I've read, no experience there. Thanks so much for watching 😁👍
Brilliant video just so well shot and edited love the depth of field to the point we debated are you on green screen lol .... do you think I can use it well on my MacBook as in get some decent hours out of it before recharging - how many charges before it runs out roughly ..... take care both
At last a review I understood, you definitely speak my language Lou. Been umming and erring about getting one but not knowing what sized one to get, now I think I have an idea 💡 thanks to your fantastic review. Much love to you and Em and hugs and kisses for AJ and Summer 🐾🐾
Brilliant video :) these are very popular in America and Canada I watch a lot of van vids lol very reliable too and prices 500 for the 500 and 1.000 dollars for the bigun they also have a 250
Great review on the Jackery power bank. Lou you really did your homework, must have read the instruction manual at least a dozen times😂😂 We are not in the market for one of those yet as we have recently just splashed out on a brand new Moho(there go`s the pension). Anyway thanks for another fantastic video, take you two and hope AJ is on the mend now. Oh by the way we got our stickers today, thanks for all your hard work Emily😘
Hi Eddie, who needs a pension anyway, ya can sit around counting ya pennies indoors or go out a live ya life, I know which we'd chose so enjoy the new moho 😁👍 thanks so much for watching, AJ is getting there and glad ya got your stickers 😁😁👍
They look a nice bit of kit. We go to non electric CL's and think one of these would come in handy. Will have to have a look at the Jackery. Thanks for sharing
Yep, I'm getting my mum for for her caravan for that exact reason! Gives her more options where to pitch up, which this year in particular will be a huge plus I think. Thanks so much for watching 😁👍
The best review I’ve seen. Well done for waiting and testing together. I wouldn’t pay £800 for the full kit I’ll have to wait until the channel is bigger 😂 the Jackery looks better IMO.
Jackery is trash anyway.. we sold our Jackery 500 to buy our AC50S with the SP120 solar panels and it was the best choice we've made in a long time!! The damn Jackery gave us nothing but problems. So glad it's gone!!
@@FahimibnDawud I have 2 Jackery 500 and was thinking that same thing until I saw this review. I have come out with the Jackery just a little better for my Tramper. Please tell me what kind of problems you had. The only thing I didn’t like is you can only pump in so many watts for charging, even if your food is covered with solar
Hi ladies being technically challenged 🤩 I didn’t fully absorb the specifications, but totally understood the importance of the handle configuration, keep on snacking thanks 🙏for sharing stay safe cheers🥂 from Australia 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
Great as always, now I understand. Informative and funny. The more I looked at the unmade bed the more I was laughing how did you manage to keep so still Em you must have a lot of fun making these vlogs they certainly are fun to watch
Finally, a decent review and comparison. Thanks, Lou, and Emily for the comic relief! While I'd opt for the Jackery, the wireless charging on the PowerOak might cause some to orient the other way...🤭
WATT would we do without you AMPle information and two beautiful presenters OH sod trying to be funny glad to have you back and looking sooo good , How's AJ Love always Dave
I'm so happy that we sold our Jackery 500 and bought the Bluetti AC50S with the SP120 solar panels package!! We couldn't be happier to have gotten rid of that Jackery trash! We also have a 2 LifePo4 100ah lithium (Flypower US) battery system setup in our van too though. We would never rely on just a "solar generator" as a primary power source.. never! If you have a 100ah lithium battery, with about 1000 watt inverter, you should be totally fine for 95% of your needs. We love the Bluetti solar panels better too, because the Jackery panels seemed to charge soooooooooo slow most of the time!! I think people have been brainwashed by all of the lying youtubers who get all kinds of stuff for free and then end up regretting it in the long run. We have bought every single thing on our build and wouldn't take anything for free anyway, so there's no reason to be biased here.
Great review ladies, no wart left unexposed and all the beauty marks elaborated. Lou, where you were getting stuck on Emily's hair appliances the term you needed was amps or amperes. When one turns on something with a heating element, like a curling iron, the element is cold and will draw more current, measured in amps. As the heating element comes up to operating temperature, its need for power decreases so with a constant voltage the current measured in amps drops to its normal operating value. A similar effect occurs with motors, as they start up they require more current to get the shaft spinning than they do to keep it spinning especially when turning a heavy load like a compressor. I could explain the math, Ohms law and the like but I think that's a little beyond this forum. 😁🚐❤️😷
@@campervibe I just noted I didn't give you the term "inrush current", the instantaneous current when the switch is turned on. Heating elements, certain motors, compressors, refrigerant cycle systems, etc are known as "high inrush" devices. If you remember anything, remember those two words to cover the whole topic. 😁 As American comedian David Letterman would say "nuff said".
KUDOS for BEST review of unit I have seen! All because you have done a fantastic job, and who else does the handle compare like Emily and her Chips in bed? BRILLIANT! Thanks much from across the pond! Cheers ! :)
I initially thought, not another bloody Jackory review, but that was actually really honest and believable. Cheers ladies 😀
Thanks so much Linda 😁👍

I found that a great review too, covered everything I need to know 👍
That was such a treat! Emily's comedy turns were brilliant and the review was straightforward and honest. You two have the Midas touch - every bit of content you put out is pure gold!

Dear AJ, Congratulations on a great script and for keeping it simple enough that the girls managed to read it out without cocking it up too much :-)

Hi ya, I think the code has run out now but email us on campervibe6@gmail.com
As we normally get another one coz we work with them a fair bit and I can email it to you 👍
Good vlog as always but the background music was proper jarring ( just my opinion) I think you explain things really clearly and would definitely be beneficial to people who were thinking of buying the product.... looking forward to next vlog x
Thanks so much Tracey 😁👍
Like the Idea of an independent power supply at 220 volts and 12 volts/USB especially as they are both Pure sine wave. They both would seem ideal for the boat life community? (Hint Hint) Nice to see you back in Fanny wearing smiles. Stay safe. Ant, Cid & Mr Oscar.
Absolutely perfect for the boating community for sure!! 😁😉😉
Really good comparison video. Loved it. I’ve already got the Poweroak and like and use it a lot; but it’s good to keep up with how all of these units are developing against each other. Stay safe 👍💙❤️
Thanks, yeah always good to know what's out there for sure 🙂👍
🤣😂 Snacks are definitely a lot more interesting lol! It's nice to have the knowledge tho after being forced to learn it all. Thanks Kim 😁👍
If it's not been said below, the startup limitation is the inrush current for hair driers until back EMF is generated by the motor & the heating element resistance increases due to heating. A great comparison though.
Yes a few have said inrush, thank you and as always thanks for watching 😁😁👍
absolutely the best jackery review to date and probably the only one worth watching to be fair. i nearly bought the poweroak last year until my laptop decided to die but i am considering one of these now just as a back up? still sitting on the fence though on brand? good to see you guys in the van again, roll on summer...no, i dont mean roll on the cat lol!
Emily has that just got out of bed look nailed .Go team Em 👏
She's definitely got that one mastered 🤣👍
This is the best review that I have seen, thank you.
😁👍
Well that was a bloody mouthful, lots of information, well done Lou and Em.
Cheers Andy 😁
Brilliant video just so well shot and edited love the depth of field to the point we debated are you on green screen lol .... do you think I can use it well on my MacBook as in get some decent hours out of it before recharging - how many charges before it runs out roughly ..... take care both
Best review/comparison i've seen... Very informative 👍👏👌
Thanks mick 😁👍
I thought God help Louise shooting a video without the bed having been made, Should have known that there is no show without Punch, oops Emily. LOL
🤣😂 You're totally right, if I'd been filming this on my own I'd be straight in the dog house for the unmade bed!! Luckily she was there tho 😁👍
Lol i thought that too at first I thought Emma is going to go nuts lol
Then put she popped lol
Very straight forward with lots of useful information. Thank you
No worries 😀
Hi girl! Thanks for the informative video! I’ve been researching them and your take on the jackery was very helpful! Look forward to the next video!
Glad we could give you as much info as possible to help with your research 😊👍
Really enjoyed your wonderful presentation and I now so much more these power packs Lou !
Glad you liked it Mel 👍
Great vid. All we want is the freedom to travel again. Keep safe u 2.
Thanks aidan, hopefully won't be too long 🤞🤞😁
At last a review I understood, you definitely speak my language Lou. Been umming and erring about getting one but not knowing what sized one to get, now I think I have an idea 💡 thanks to your fantastic review. Much love to you and Em and hugs and kisses for AJ and Summer 🐾🐾
Thanks Karen, so glad you found the video useful and thanks for watching 😁👍
Brilliant video :) these are very popular in America and Canada I watch a lot of van vids lol very reliable too and prices 500 for the 500 and 1.000 dollars for the bigun they also have a 250
Thanks so much Christine 😁😁👍
Nice balanced review, with some useful technical info. Thanks
Thanks si 😁👍
Fantastic well balanced review. I really appreciate how transparently and thoroughly you have compared these two products. More please!
Thanks Tony 😁👍
They look a nice bit of kit. We go to non electric CL's and think one of these would come in handy. Will have to have a look at the Jackery. Thanks for sharing
Yep, I'm getting my mum for for her caravan for that exact reason! Gives her more options where to pitch up, which this year in particular will be a huge plus I think. Thanks so much for watching 😁👍
The best review I’ve seen. Well done for waiting and testing together. I wouldn’t pay £800 for the full kit I’ll have to wait until the channel is bigger 😂 the Jackery looks better IMO.
😂🤣 We did our first poweroak one when we were much smaller so it's definitely possible! Thanks for the nice comment, and for watching 😁😁👍
Best Jackery review I’ve seen , thanks for uploading 👍
Thanks declan 😁👍
Excellent review helped me alot thank you.
No worries James, thanks for watching 😁👍
Good review thanks! Question. Will the Jackery solar panel work with the Poweroak?
Your right about the voltage on the jackery, that caught Mels van world out to.
👍👍
Hi ladies being technically challenged 🤩 I didn’t fully absorb the specifications, but totally understood the importance of the handle configuration, keep on snacking thanks 🙏for sharing stay safe cheers🥂 from Australia 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
🤣😂 It's all about the handle lol!! Thanks Barry 😁👍
Very informative review thanks Louise. It was great that you compared the 2 for us, thank you x
Thanks liz 😁👍
How long can I run my ventilator on it
Great as always, now I understand. Informative and funny. The more I looked at the unmade bed the more I was laughing how did you manage to keep so still Em you must have a lot of fun making these vlogs they certainly are fun to watch
Thanks Michelle 👍 yeh we do have a lot of fun making these 😁😁
Finally, a decent review and comparison. Thanks, Lou, and Emily for the comic relief!
While I'd opt for the Jackery, the wireless charging on the PowerOak might cause some to orient the other way...🤭
Nice one guys.. They are awesome bits of kit.. 😉👍.. Great detailed review, saves us doing all the testing now.. 😉😂 x
🤣😂 Ya gits lol!! Won't be room in vinny soon with all your bloody power stations 😂🤣
Great review and simple enough for even me to understand - well most of it
Yeah I understood most of it as well Deb, I think Lou is used to explaining things like that to me so she is good at it now 😂
@@campervibe ☺️🤣
WATT would we do without you AMPle information and two beautiful presenters
OH sod trying to be funny glad to have you back and looking sooo good , How's AJ
Love always Dave
🤣😂 Definitely a good effort 😁👍 thanks dave 👍
@@campervibe but how is AJ
@@davelead2742 he's getting there, it's a slow process but he's definitely on the mend so far, has a vets appointment tomorrow 🤞
Well you're a cheerful little soul ain't ya 🤣😂
Brilliant review, I'm sold on the Jackery 500! :)
(..and I've subscribed)
😀😀😀🥳🥳 welcome along
Following your review, I’ve bought one. 👍🏻
Woo hoo, enjoy 😁
Brilliant review, this is more my size, but no usb-c ? Thanks Jo in France 🇫🇷
Great honest and informative review, thanks very much 👍👍
No worries Steve 👍
Best review of these two products
Thanks
🤣😂 Yeh I was gonna say all that but thought it may be a bit too much!! 😂🤣 Joking, thank you 👍
@@campervibe I just noted I didn't give you the term "inrush current", the instantaneous current when the switch is turned on. Heating elements, certain motors, compressors, refrigerant cycle systems, etc are known as "high inrush" devices. If you remember anything, remember those two words to cover the whole topic. 😁
As American comedian David Letterman would say "nuff said".
A proper review girls! Thank you 😁 Betty x
Thank you 😁👍
@@campervibe ❤❤❤❤
Thanks guys
Pleasure 😁
Bloody brilliant! To the point and if I had the money I would. Great video.
Thank you 😁👍
KUDOS for BEST review of unit I have seen! All because you have done a fantastic job, and who else does the handle compare like Emily and her Chips in bed? BRILLIANT! Thanks much from across the pond! Cheers ! :)
Thanks marty 😁 it's all about the handle for sure 🤣😂👍
Great video 👍🏽. Not too much waffle at all.
Oh good as we can talk 😂
