Guess Crossland was short-lived since he died in 1977 aged 50. I think in that scenario, Michael Foot goes on to succeed Crossland as PM and Labour leader.

Sort of Correct! Crossland is the shortest serving Prime Minister in this Scenario. He only lasts a Month as Prime Minister and then Foot succeeds him as PM and Labour leader and Foot calls for a General Election due to the distaste in the Labour Government due to the dissolution of the United Kingdom.
