The Mayor needs funds to solve the problem sir. He's in the rain and water, just as the residents.

Without vision the people perish. After so many years of running up and down behind politicians and political parties these people didn't seek to rectify this flooding issue..

In Canada where I live(Brampton) there are mandatory ponds made to prevent flooding. This area use to flood. I visited my birth country 4 years ago and was very embarrassed by the thousands of plastic bottles discarded around the island. Everywhere. These plastic bottle causes blockages in the drainage system. Government of Jamaica your infrastructure need improving. What do the people do with these empty water bottle. $ to return bottles would solve part of the problems. Factories would lead to jobs. Go back to box containers and ban plastic bottles if you are not going to improve the bad system in place. My birth country you were not like this in my childhood. We use to be a more respectful people. Litterbugs?

    1. ANY DRAINAGE PLAN IS BETTER THAN NO DRAINAGE PLAN!
    2. What more "Detailed Assessment" do you need? Sounds like a cash grab to me...

Port Mario lies below sea level. Very little that government can do except to encourage people live on higher ground. Use the town as a commercial zone. Not as a residential area.

Take heed, the rains will become more frequent and more severe. This is a sign of global warming or climate chaos. This situation is not unique to Jamaica. Climate crisis must be taken seriously. Coastal communities are vulnerable. Seawall is only a temporary fix.

Remember God promised never to destroy using flood again. Low-lying area, lots of rain & no proper draining are the cause.

There is a lot of rain overseas working eruptions overseas that's right here in Jamaica there's a lot of rain so we have to go to sleep near the airport because there is not going to be a big big disaster that we might have to keep in the sky and go to Cayman

Repent! Please. Christ told us the kingdom of heaven is at hand. Our Father in heaven sent his only begotten son to die for our sins, rose on the 3rd day and all who believe shall be saved. Read your bible, pray and open your heart to him. Peace and blessings to you all. 🙏🏾❤️🙏🏾.
