Takes a big man to put himself out there. Well done, Rick. You see a lot of people who would never subject themselves to such a possibility of failure. Great respect for you. Love your videos. Good luck next year.

Huge thank you to you & Rick both for all the videos you've done during this quest. Honestly, it was hugely entertaining to be given an insight into your golf lives and you also gave us just enough of your personal lives to make the whole quest vlog series very intimate in a way that a TV series could never. I've only just started golfing about a year ago and your quest (and all your other videos) undoubtedly served as an inspiration for me to keep pressing forward with my golf goals. Thanks again for all you do. Looking forward to future iterations of the Quest! P.S. Also really great to see you & Rick in a vid together again!

I think that last putt pre tee off got in Ricks head, he seemed nervous in his night before and definitely in that moment missing that putt. And in the old vs new grip video you'll hear him say the camera still gets him sweating, but he does such a great job, I know its not as easy as saying "Be confident, you are awesome" and he does, but its exactly true. I have seen amazing golf from both of the guys and I think they can do it all the way and look forward to seeing it!

Best of luck to you two and thanks for all your videos!

At the end of the day you improve and conquer, I played Essex Open qualifying and shot 14 over had a massive chop was a bit like Rick thought maybe my game didn't stand up to pressure but a couple people dropped out last min and I got in and played in one of the last groups and was bricking it but learned from the qualifying experience and shot 4 over in the morning and 7 over in the afternoon not great but a vast improvement on the 18 holes I played in the qualifying round.

Hey Peter, How about tracking your monthly average score to par and setting monthly targets through to open qualifying. If your average scoring for the month or two prior to open qualifying is +4 and you expect to shoot under par for open qualifying then you and your audience will know its a hail mary attempt. If your average scoring for the month or two prior is -1, then you can enter qualifying with the confidence that you are prepared to perform. Looking at Rick Shiels average scores prior to yesterday that one of his viewers was tracking, he was obviously not ready. Tracking fairways and greens is useful but by the end of the day, its a question of how many, not how, so I think you should have scoring targets of some description.
