Mad fam lets give our girl a round of applause. She kept these videos going in the deadly heat. I confess I stayed mostly in the air condition so only the strong survived in my garden.
Enjoy the reality of your tours. Real gardens are never perfect but always a work in progress. And always appreciate your enthusiasm. Now for the emijis.😎😎😎
My tithonia are over 8 feet tall now. Only one is blooming, the others are rebounding from spidermites. The blooms are so tall with a bumblebee on every one of them! 🐝
Awesome garden tour Amanda! Love love your variety of plants. All your gardens survived the intense summer heat beautifully! I will be picking up the cardinal basil. I planted zinnia seeds a few weeks ago in a pot. They sprouted, then nothing. I will try again. Thanks for showing all the progress! 😀
Your gardens look amazing, especially after our record setting high temperatures this year. We finally got some rain, here, in Cypress, TX and cooler temps. Our grass is coming back to life after I threw everything on it, except the kitchen sink, that I could, to fight the cinch bugs and fungus! My sweet almond shrub/tree is doing well and gives off the most amazing fragrance. Just trimmed back all my ligustrum as they grow like crazy, even in the heat. I also divided my agapanthus and increased the number of plants for next year, I hope. Love your shades, very flattering on you.
Just discovered your channel, I loved the tour! I'm glad I found your channel because I live in Mckinney and I have been looking for someone who gardens near to me so I can get ideas of what works or not in our area. I'm not sure what city you're in, but I suppose you're close because I saw you went to Frisco Shades of Green. Great tour! Love your style, I love older, more rustic things too! 😍
Great tour! Love everything! Love the shades and your hair looks WOW! Luv you beautiful! Having a tough time getting my fall seeds going I’ve been sick the past few days but on the mend! My garden looks great:)
It’s so nice to see the variety of flowers u have. Where is your garden? I live outside of St Louis and am waiting for some lower humidity to plant some flowers
Interesting to see your hyacinth bean! My plant is huge, however I have had no beans or flowers. When I looked it up it mentioned it was getting too much fertilizer, so I stopped that, but alas no blooms yet!🙁
Loved the tour! For the summer we had, it is looking very good! Purslane: are you able to save it over winter, or do you start over every spring? Had no luck with the cosmo I bought. Planted in the ground, almost died so I moved it to a pot for some shade and it died anyway. Same problem with yarrow but it appears to be sprouting from the bottom. Any advice on those two? Love your willow tree! No place for one here but I enjoy seeing yours. 😁 Wow! The coleus, zinnias, celosia you planted on the corner have really grown! Front does look amazing! ⭐️
+Marion Nixon I’ve brought purslane in before but it died. Cosmos have been hit or miss for me but I plan to work hard on them next season so I should be able to give you some feedback. On the yarrow, I would cut back all of the dead portion so the new growth can get through and give it some fertilizer.
@@shesamadgardener Very much appreciate the reply. It’s funny that the “weed” purslane will survive anything, it not the pretty ones. In all fairness to cosmos and yarrow, I planted them at a bad time, too hot. I cut back the yarrow today and will feed tomorrow. Hope you figure out the cosmos. I like them! TY!!
Your garden looks awesome.... I do have a question... I live on down I35 in Temple Tx... zone 8b.... Is it to late to plant a few zinnia from seed for some fall color? Thanks for your channel.. I love it because 8A and 8B zones are close for growing...
I’m in Houston and I’m getting so many ideas about which plants would do well around the area from watching your videos. What drip irrigation system do you use?
@@shesamadgardener ahh thank you so much. I’ve been binge watching your videos but I guess I haven’t gotten to that one yet. I’ll definitely look it up! Your garden is serious goals!
Great! Can you suggest me what would be good to start from seed directly outside now? I live in McKinney,Tx so it’s the same zone for us! And also I’m interested in something which will actually cover both fall and winter with constant blooms
+Sadia Tasnim constant blooms through fall and winter isn’t really a thing in our area … I am not starting any seeds that will be blooming for fall at this point … if you want to pick up some zinnias, Celosia, coleus and such now, they will last through the fall but will die with the first frost. For the winter, I stick to dusty Miller, pansies, violas, ornamental kales, etc.

Everything is looking beautiful even after all the heat you had.
+michelle pollino I’m thankful everything is starting to bounce back.
Tithonia are definitely underrated!

+JerryRobin Pendleton hi there! Yes it feels so good to be on the other side of the high temps. Get those zinnias started again, there’s still time!
Hi from South Florida! Love your garden! This summer was the first time I’ve started planting seeds. I’m hooked! 👏🏼 👏🏼 👏🏼
+Mallori Weyland after all of these years I’m still fascinated that seeds turn into plants
Your front house is a stunner with beautiful curb appeal 👍🏻🌸🌺🌼
+Rosie Singleton aww thanks!

Yeah 👏💕👏 it’s cooling off here in CA zone 8B as well!
+Gustavo Felix yay!!
So beautiful!
+EyreRose Cottage Thank you 💚💚💚
Still pretty even with the heat, looking forward to your Fall planting! I have started slowly redoing pots for Fall 😊
+Michelle France come on fall!
They have tubing "pluggers" that can go into the drip and you won't have to cut it and it allows you more control over water.
+Toya Doing Stuff sweet, I’ll go look for those! Thanks!
Love your flowers especially celosia
+Dougswmn48 same! It’s one of my favs!
Very nice garden. 😀
+Juliet Reimers thank you!

Welcome!! I’m in Wylie, so not far from you at all!
Do you pinch back your flowers when first starting to get more blooms, or do you just let them be ?
+Angie Meyers depends on the variety …. Zinnias yes!

+Gabrielle A. Tumminello thanks, I’m obsessed with my new shades! Hope you recover quickly and get to enjoy your garden!

I have a bunch of volunteer celosia as well, but I love them!
+Shawna Cryer me too!!!

No, you can seed them now. It takes almost 2 months to get some flowers.
+kenneth richey there are lots of zinnias that blooms in 35 days, so that will still work.

+Chris T I use drip supplies from Lowe’s and Home Depot … I have a drip line video that shows my setup and supplies if you are interested.

@@shesamadgardener hi ! I need one more suggestions from you… like poppy, yarrow, canterbell and bells of Ireland when is the time to sow?
Did you get the almond verbena at Home Grown?
+Megan Ramsey I got it from Covington’s
@@shesamadgardener thanks, I called and they said they don't get many of those and to check next spring. Keep us updated how it overwinters!
