Great video, Mark. Big fan of the channel. I've recently completed our bathroom works Inc. plumbing (using your videos as a reference) and I 100% agree those fittings supplied with the shower units are utter garbage. As always, keep up the great work.
On the towel rail, think about it. You need the heating on to have warm towel’s if system connected. Electric ones you leave on all year round and always have warm/hot towels, even in the summer months
What I love about your work is you recommend access panels. I can't stress this enough I see too many bathrooms without access. Especially fully tiled bath without access panels. I also enjoy you fully replacing stuff and avoid cutting corners and actually having a lot of parts in your van great work!
We’ve all had them the punters cut corners buying material not complete .Well done old chum for persevering and another one out the door. Nice and sunny here in Barcelona Diana and I are out soon for a stroll. Keep The Faith. London Paul ( Paramount Plumbing ).
Mark can you teach us when and how to use Earthing cable? Saw those taps were earthed, but not everything is everywhere. Thanks for all your vids, enjoying them all and learning. Thanks.
When I'm draining radiators like that I use some plastic rubble sacks to drain the water into. Can easily manipulate then around the pipes. Was my old mentor who taught me that so credit goes to him. Been doing it ever since.
I always keep a tube of that resin stuff from Screwfix in the van for when the walls start falling apart etc. it gets you out of the shit. Great video as always.
Can never understand why customers don’t have suite ready to rock n roll for when you get on site, they have months and months but seem to leave it last minute!!! Soooooo frustrating 😂 Great vid as usual buddy
top video the downside to my plumbing life is no materials on the job. and sometimes we get the nightmare job ( radiators straight swap etc rarely works out like that) makes us all appreciate the jobs we priced expecting to be a pain in the arse and turn out to be good as gold👍
Jesus, you weren't joking when you said you've had a nightmare of a week (think it was Wednesday we spoke). Materials just not there is always a thorn in our side as well as "second hand" stuff. I always say to my customers to make sure materials are on site before we start the works, most listen in fairness but fully understand your frustration on this one. Like you said just think of the jobs that went well, hope the back end of the week went a bit better for you, and all the best this week!
Great video. I think the bath / shower is two tight but as we know the customer is always right. You can only do what you can do. It looks nice what you have done. 👍👍
Great video. That new bath layout seems a bit strange. Will shower water collect on the window ledge? (Or add another screen to create a cleaning prob) If it would fit I'd do bath in the window, shower to RHS of door, sink to the left, loo to the right. That rads job looked tricky. If you know the customer offer a day rate as the best way forward. Thanks for sharing.
The customer wanted a bath and a separate shower for practicality so in my opinion it was the only way to do it with low maintenance, otherwise your idea of a corner bath with shower in it would probably look better
Always a fiddle fitting second hand rads and most of the time they come without brackets sods law you will need a hatch for access to the side of the bath for future repairs etc

That tile next to the shower pipes isn’t very well butted to the adjacent tile , different size grout gap to one next to it . Sorry , just bug bear of mine , have to agree with you on the shower ,looks cheap !
Now if they had a seamless wetroom floor and shower head built into the ceiling, that would be cool.... But that does look a bit odd.... You should see my bathroom I did myself.. It is amazing and everyone who visits my house is blown away. If only I could attach pictures.
Great video as always. Do you silicone the pipework on the shower as they come through the tiles? I had a job last week, water coming through the ceiling and it was the shower dripping down the are onto the cover plates, getting behind the chrome cover plates and down the pipework behind the tiles and coming through the ceiling... keep the videos coming mark
Thanks buddy….. yep pop a bit of silicone there for security…. (I thought I showed it on the video but just checked and it must be on the cutting room floor)
