There are these things called “Ceded Territories”. Ceded Territories are large portions of land that were taken from Tribes. In the agreements to cede land those Tribal Nations retained specific rights for the land. Examples: education, healthcare, hunting and gathering, annuity payments, etc… Gull Lake is in the 1855 ceded territory and Ojibwe people retain the right to hunt and fish in those territories. This right can not be regulated by the state. It is a right, just like the right you have the to live in Minnesota.
We have to assert our rights or we lose them, and they need to be reminded about treaties once in awhile, they seem to forget, even though ignorance of the law is no excuse. These fish are taken for food and ceremony, not just to damage fish populations. Natives have taken fish in all seasons for 15,000 years without a problem, so leave them alone.
Such a slippery slope…
Let the Indians do there fishing as long as they ain’t wasting what they catch
Time for everyone to abide by the same rules! No more freebie's.
Is Gull Lake on the reservation if it is I would say they would have rights to it if it's not Dylan I don't believe they have any rights to be there

@@D1Boxing I've heard it said, "When you stop thinking everything is a RIGHT you cannot be WRONGED." Think about it.
