Traveling the way you are is the best thing ive ever done for my soul there is something about it that can't be beat in heading to South Carolina soon and taking my time down the east coast i live about 45 from the falls and love the area definitely a place to check out at Least once!!! Safe travels
Epic scenic location for a stop over! I have been to Niagara Falls NY several times and have met some of the most amazing people there. It's so iconic and stunning but you are right, at the same time it has areas and people that do not live up to the standards it should have. On the NY side the drive and walk on Goat Island is really cool. There is a really nice Aquarium in town too. The best free thing to do other than the Falls walkway is the Niagara Gorge path and the historic Devils Hole. Incredible views! It gets enough people on the paved walkway to be safe (public) but not so many to be crowded. Oh and you going there in the off season is a good choice, it gets ridiculously crowded in summer. Great video, thanks for sharing!
You were 3 blocks away from the old Nabisco mill ( literally shredded wheat was made there) it closed for good 20 years ago ,it's a cool historic place if are into the history of Niagara falls.
One block off of the boardwalk in Atlantic City was a very poor part of the town, I imagine it is like that in more then one tourist trap. I hope you got out of Dodge before that lake effect snow storm hit. Thanks for taking us along for the ride.
Hey Tony - got your vid on now - your gut observations about NF are correct - and would also be for most of the region - sadly... I've been prepping to begin my own vanlife for a few years from just up the road from NF and my friend's funeral home in Tonawanda ( very close to NF ) from my current spot in Erie, PA - with locked up $2 items as well - and I hate to have to be the one BUT... As a native NYer from the NYC metro area and having lived in 5 states, 11 cities - both coasts, Colorado and other spots in between... I have PULLED THE PLUG ON VANLIFE IN THE US - and am instead going to try it in Europe. THE CRIME - esp that which vanlifers are extra vulnerable to - is simply too everywhere these days. Add in the way american cops treat most motorists and def vanlifers... And I just CAN'T JUSTIFY the leap in the US. Too many and too widely categorized problems in the US anymore - at age 54. BE CAREFUL EVERYWHERE - but especially in this region you're posting from now - "the "rust belt" ( from mid upper NY all the way across to Wisconsin and down into appalachia... It is DESPERADO ZOMBIE LAND NOW. And they will break your window for the nickels in your ashtray and assault you for your sneakers. It's a shame - but being anti reality is NOT a thing people can afford to be when they're alone out on the road. If I were you I'd blaze right through the upper midwest and start making stops again once you're into the Dakotas... good luck.
Been to Niagra Falls (both sides) quite often. The NY side is sketchy, even in the summer. But the falls on both sides are beautiful, and you'll definitely get your exercise in.
I lived in downtown Albany (NY) over the Summer. It had been a while since I’d lived in an urban area. It was NOISY and I was 4 flights up! I got used to the street chatter after a month or so but it’s amazing the amount of street life at late and very early morning hours. The pizza festival, now that’s my thing 🍕At my first job which was in a mall with a pizza place, I ate there so much my co-workers called me Pete-Za 😆 Thanks for taking me along on this NY adventure 🤗
If you like lights hit up Buffalo, NY waterfront and river works. Definitely leave Niagara falls soon as possible, the falls living off there honeymoon destination rep of the 60s still is quite impressive
Hi Tory. I hope you went back over to the Canadian side. The view from there is much bigger. You can see all three falls with a full view. Also, not sure what days you were/are there but major snow is here and more coming.
I visited there last year & I felt the same way! For tourists locationi had expected more people to be around. I did drive around & was very surprised how the neighborhood looked a lot of abandoned houses & homes . The next trip will be on the Canadian side
In the winter its good to have dc to dc charger. I use 2 Victron Orions. It is pretty easy to install, maybe 3 hours. I am not worried about battery life anymore... 🔋
Awesome stuff! I'm literally in the middle of packing for a few nights at the Canadian falls right now. I'm exited to see all the holiday lights and maybe do some hiking around the Niagara Glen.
There is no Lazy Bridal Falls in Niagara Falls. There is the smaller Bridal Veil Falls on the American side, which you were also looking at. Both the American & the Bridal Veil Falls are separated by Luna Island.
I enjoyed that one because I've always wanted to go Niagara Falls and when I was Leaf Peeping in New England (Back in 2001, weeks after 9/11, and my February born daughter was but a trooper infant, I couldn't make it.. but did see some wonderful things Like glass blowers in Vermont, and Fellows Balls .. oops I mean Bellows Falls, a town I would definitely relocate to if they'd have me and Salem, Mass.. too much Fun but my favorite was Water Fire in Providence R.I. .. truth be told, I loved it all but miss Niagara Falls.. I must do it again
Currently sitting here staring at my ProMaster siting under 2 feet of snow that fell last night. I don't even have the floor in yet. But watching you rough it I think, just go for it. You certainly are an inspiration. Now, where to go in all this snow? Cheers from T
Niagara falls covered in ice at night with the colored lights shining on the falls is a sight to see. 👀 😲 the canada side has more cool tourist stuff to see. That skylon tower restarant was a $30 dinner back in 2004.
If you ever get a chance, please visit Herndon VA. It's so friendly, great food, and it has that small hometown feeling while still having lots of major brands and shops to give you that city life style, hope you had a good Thanksgiving, enjoy the rest of your day ❤
Best Pizza ever --- that's *easy* ! Andreas' TRT -- Ten Rich Toppings --- also available w/o the shrimp, for those who don't like seafood. Haven't found any I like better anywhere. Just to compare with Panago or Pizza Hut, the same size pizza from Andreas weighs 2 - 3 times as much and the prices are very comparable. Sorry, only available in North Van.... Cheers!...from North Vancouver
You MIGHT find that if you BACK into the parking spaces till our rear wheels hit the curb you wont get a ticket. The overhang from the front bumper to the wheel is a shorter distance than from the rear wheel to the back bumper. But some municipalities may have laws about blocking public walkways. You never know till its too late.
Being from Jersey I have to say I'm a little biased when it comes to pizza. But that being said, all that pizza looked really good minus the one. Best pizza I ever had was right outside of Acadia national park. It was lobster bacon with a balsamic glaze. As for Niagra falls, I've heard the U.S. side isn't anything really special. I've stayed on the Canada side and that's almost like an amusement park.
Really cool travel log, just found your channel & it's a lot of fun hanging with you on your adventures, always something interesting to learn & see! If you want to watch a hilarious show with great scenery check out the 1 season series Wonderfalls set in Niagara, not on streaming but the dvd set is easy to find, better anyway since it has the whole story & it was canceled before all eps aired. Subbed with the bell, can't wait to find out where you're heading next!
Fun :) I have friends in Buffalo I plan to visit in the summertime. Hopefully you missed the big storm over the weekend but I guess we'll find out soon. Great video as always. So I love that you caught the pizza kid running though the event. Also was it snowing on you at the falls or just misting? I totally agree with that getting in out of the cold to a warm vehicle feeling .
THE FALLS ARE PRETTY NICE. MUST BE PIZZA HEAVEN. I LOVE PIZZA🍕 AND FOR ME ORIGINAL ITALIAN PIZZA👌 IS MOST OF THE TIME THE BEST. I DID SEE THE FLOOR HEATING INSTALLATION BUT NOT WHEN IT WORKS IN PRACTICE. CHEERS 👍
Hi Tory, love your videos! Sorry that you stayed in the wrong Niagara Falls, should have stayed on the Ontario side. Especially this time of year with the Niagara Festival of Lights on the Ontario side. Also way more nicer stealth locations on the Ontario side, Queenston Heights, Niagara on The Lake, Fort Erie, Sherkston, St. Catharines, etc. Ontario side way better than the New York side, need a tour guide?
Brilliant as always 💚 I've been to the Falls a few times; however, I've never been to the US side. Pizza is the best. What? No pineapple?! 😅 Have a Favorite Week Always Enjoy reading your Adventures 💚
NY still can't make pizza's. They even hardly look like it. Try real Italian pizza carefully baked in a stone oven some time. It will be quite a different experience.
It’s in my parents garage cause it took up too much space in the unbuilt van, I traded it out for my scooter for this trip. But once the trunk is built it will have its own organized space and be back on the road :)
@@ToryDelury I just have a regular mountain bike but, I always leave it outside. Its always locked and I have never had a problem with it. Probably makes it less stealth though. I couldn't live without it. When I was in that area I stayed at the Niagra KOA. Happy journeys.
You need your refer ,etc for times that you are in places like California and Fla where URBAN stealth camping is illegal and IF caught could get you jail time or a hefty fine! There is SOME off grid camping in those states but no URBAN.

That’s New York! Most of it is a S HOLE! The video of the falls was very cool!!!
Toasted buns -- they're nice to have in the winter time. 😊

glad to see you here
Now that we are going into winter and then spring, come back to Vegas!!!

4 million kilowatts! Maybe you need an indoor waterfall feature in your van that can provide hydropower?

You should check out "Niagara on the Lake" very pretty, the Jet boat ride up the rapids is a blast.

At the SUNY at Buffalo campus. Not a snowflake to be found.

Superman 2 was filmed on the Canadian side of Niagara Falls

so much pizza😍🍕🍕

Start going to the grocery stores first...to get a "feel" for the area. 😅
Greetings from South Texas, how did the insulation in van hold up? Did it make difference in cold weather?
Hi! :) It’s doing really well, it makes a huge difference, I can tell significantly on the back door where I didn’t insulate the bottom portions yet!
I love pizza, it's weird that they sold you that cold thin slice, I've bought pizza like that as well.
Brilliant as always 💚 I've been to the Falls a few times; however, I've never been to the US side. Pizza is the best. What? No pineapple?! 😅 Have a Favorite Week Always Enjoy reading your Adventures 💚
Yeah, the US side of the fall is...bad. Both in the view and the town in general. The Canadian side is fantastic though.
Must be a blue state?
how do you stay so slim, eating junk food?
NY still can't make pizza's. They even hardly look like it. Try real Italian pizza carefully baked in a stone oven some time. It will be quite a different experience.
wrong side of the falls. try Canada next time
Definitely will be trying Canada out! :)
And several others
Im wondering where the bike went.
It’s in my parents garage cause it took up too much space in the unbuilt van, I traded it out for my scooter for this trip. But once the trunk is built it will have its own organized space and be back on the road :)

Hope you're not still in that area with all the snow theyre getting up there
love u ...
whyd you say it was $1 a slice but in almost all vendors you are giving them $2 ? tip ?
Never is a good time to visit New York or New Jersey or California or Illinois or Vermont or Maine

Clearly you never lived in CA and never traveled it either, what a ridiculous statement, CA is full of free nature camping all over
The Law of Diminishing Marginal Utility: Additional consumption of pizza will bring less satisfaction.
Aggravated people threatening to kill each other should prompt a phone call to the Police...
the police there have their hands tied. there are articles about the new yawk AG telling them to let the hood rats do as they be please.
Niagara Falls NY is so Ghetto. The Canada side is so much nicer.
We need more videos of tweakers talking to themselves.
Oooo I have a full collection of videos of crazy people doing crazy things outside my van 😅 haha
@ToryDelury I'm in a van too. I'm stuck in CA old van and the tranny is slipping. Have a great day and stay safe.
Pro tipp: Put on some pants, to not draw too much attention....
This is a good video
Thank you! :)
Have you even been on the 21 mile long bridge down in Louisiana
