    I'm from New Zealand. We Maori call sea urchins KINA. Very yummy on their own! We never make theminto recipes. We crack them open and eat fresh at beach. Ours don't have long pricks like yours so its interesting to see how yours look

    sissy put it in a bamboo basket and shake it.. the easy way to take out the pointed part of it..
    luv n miz to eat fresh sea urchin.. and your recipe now is quite new to me.. once when I'm free and can visit to my province I'll try to do this too😊👍❤.

    Wow that looks like paradise... I can't wait to go home to my sweet island. I love your dress Sros it fits you so well! After you cut those spikes off of the urchins, the shells looked familiar.. It brought back memories of me finding them on the beach when I was a kid but I didn't know what they were until now 😊. Thanks for sharing

    Wow! Thank you Sros for this great video! I haven't seen sea urchins since I left the islands. They're usually easy to spot on the reefs during low tide. I've never seen it prepared this way or any other way. We normally eat it just like that fresh from the ocean but without the spikes. Everything that Sros cut out and discarded are "not" edible. The meat of the sea urchin is like caviar. 💝☺

    This is such a treat!!! Making the very expensive sea urchin go a long way!! So delish!! I just place the urchin Inside a can and shake till all the needles break and it is sashimi style... Thank you for sharing all your wonderful recipes!!!!

    I love the sea urchin shell, my husband always get it from the ocean, bleach it, dry it in the sun and the shell became decoration, very beautiful.

    Nice catch...in Samoa...we'll wait for low tide to expose the reef banks. Then it's on...but you have to take what you can consume for the day. Still...people get greedy and overfishing becomes the problem. Also...we don't even break the the spikes...it just tastes fresher. 😁

    My God!!! What is it with this harassment asking if she is pregnant, fat, if she had surgery...geezz! This is supposed to be a channel to enjoy recipes and share comments! If we really care about her we should stop getting so personal and critical! If she is not pregnant, we are implying she is fat. If we bug with her face we are stating that somehow it doesn't look good or even normal...No wonder she has changed her demeanor...this is crazy!!

      The fact being cslled "fat", is supposedly normal for a Youtubber, by no means makes it correct. Controlling other people's comments is impossible; what is not impossible is to start the change towards respect and kindness with ourselves. Asking "how are you" is very different to "are you pregnant or fat??" May be usual, but SHOULD NOT be normal.

    Wow thats incredible we just take out the yellow strips inside & eat them raw or fry them with lots of seasonings & eat with rice. Never seen seaegg prepared this way but it looks delicious

      Urchins cant feel pain. They have no brain, therefore they feel nothing eventhough they’ve been cut opened.

    these is the first time i saw urchin with an egg.. we have a lots of urchin here,we eat that with rice in the bay that so yummy.

    Its look delicious. I never know that Urchin from our sea, I mean from Thai gulf can eat. I thought only the one from the Japanese sea only. Wow! I should try it :)

    Wow your efforts in putting them into sa special recipe is so amazing. In the Philippines wo only eat this raw with vinegar and chili as sauce.
