It's amazing the things you discover about the place that you otherwise wouldn't have known happened here before, but I'm glad you enjoyed watching this :)
Talking of Crossrail Jarred there's another Crossrail Project being proposed i found this on one of Geoff Marshall's clips about The Glasgow Subway this is called The Wallis Line which if built Glasgow Central will be rail-connected to Glasgow Queen Street for the first time.
That would actually be very beneficial to Glasgow if that link were built. It would mean that you wouldn't have to walk from one station to the other. I think it's a 15 minute walk if I remember correctly
Why doesn't the train pull up to the end of the platform to allow all 8 cars to be at the platform instead of short stopping with only 6 cars platforming? Doesn't make sense.
So the 387 units do 'skip stop' service at a station depending on whether the destination is either Reading or Didcot Parkway. Which stations serve the Reading trains and which serve the Didcot trains?
Also what do passengers do if they want to go between stops where one is serviced only by Reading trains and the other is serviced only by Didcot Pkwy trains?
In terms of the trains stopping short of the platform edge I really don't know why they do this when they can so easily fit a whole 8 car train into the station. It's almost like they have markers at either end of the station telling them where to stop depending on the length of their trainsHere is a link to RTT showing a service stopping here bound for Didcot Parkway, it shows the stations it stops at www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/C42929/2018/09/14/advancedThe next link shows a Reading Bound service so you can see where the services connect at certain stations to allow people greater ease of access throughout the network www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/C43112/2018/09/14/advanced
Poor Vice-Chancellor. Great scene for horror though. Perfect light in this film and all the ladies gave good Camera. Thanks, Tor! B.P.
