The throw behind the line was ruled a lateral and another turnover. Coach BV said it was suppose to be a run but Arnold pulled it. This caused the QB change.

I was shocked OU threw the ball behind the line of scrimmage & the Vols played it perfectly.. I figured the officials would say incomplete pass..But I was wrong.. The Vols won a hard fought Sec Road game. TN defense is nasty & Ou defense is great. I personally believe both defenses will be in the top 10 when the season ends.
@@WarriorMech-04TnVF It was an incomplete pass. Threw it from the 39, landed just inside the 38. Oh well. But it was called run. everybody is blocking run. The TE whiffed again, but there's a hole if he hands it off.
@joeburnett6116 was definitely a lateral. You have to look at where he releases the ball from his hand, not where he is standing. Was very close though.
He was struggling against the other bad teams also. Let’s not make excuses
Don’t excuse your joke of a staff either doing him no favors by not understanding the basics of modern offense such as bubble screens or slants relieving pressure. You OC AND HC are a joke.

@@Juan-gu1lfas an Oklahoma fan… you’re not wrong. It’s unacceptable. Someone’s ass should be had and shown the door if something isn’t done asap.
@Juan-gu1lf, we literally ran slants all night. Tried screens as well. The ball was consistently thrown behind receivers killing any chance of positive yards. To JA's credit, he hit a few slants. But missed a LOT.
Amen 💯
So frustrating. Legit feel bad for our defense…especially Dolby. Man SHIT !
The better news is he didn’t break anything right? A dislocated ankle?

Giving Jackson Arnold the ball on the 5 yard line after OUs defense got the turnover instead of Michael Hawkins Jr was the biggest mistake of the entire game… I’m stunned how horrible JA played, OU would’ve done better with no QB at all.
Your line jumped putting you at the 2.5 and then you ran it up the middle and got stuffed. You Sooners live in a fantasy world lmao. What exactly was the qb supposed to do there? Bahahaha
@NumberOneChina, how bout not fumble the ball. Clown
@@NumberOneChinahe was talking about after Tenn fumbled at OU had the ball at Tenn’s 5 yard line and Arnold fumbled on the first play.
You need a better oline and your WRs back before you can totally say Arnold is trash. Do you remember Nathan Peterman? Also a highly routed recruit at Tennessee first SEC start he performed worst than Arnold did ... transfered to Pitt when we benched him...went on to contend for a Heisman and go to the NFL.
Bo Nic at Auburn to Oregon also comes to mind..I feel like Venerables is an elite defensive coordinator but not head coach.. He's clearly mishandled Arnold im. Bet he hits the portal and ends up balling out somewhere else more QB friendly.
* Bo Nix
Arnold's ability to make mistakes at the most inconvenient time can not go unnoticed. I'm not saying he's the reason they lost, but for 3 1/2 games, he's been so bad. I know there's other factors (line, injuries, play calling) involved. But the mistakes he makes are absolutely pathetic. From my couch, sure looks like Hawkins should be QB1 for at least the next couple of games. I mean, at this point, what have they got to lose?
Arnold consistently made a lot of mistakes over 10 + quarters running the show.
I think that with a better o line Arnold could be productive, given our o line struggles though I think Hawkins' ability to scramble adds another dimension to the offense that we need.
Yup. JA is talented but right now with this current O-line it’s Hawkins’ team
JA was struggling against houston, Tulane it wouldnt of mattered if he did had a offense line JA has lost his confidence and needs to sit 1 more year like arch manning is doing.
Not only his ability to scramble, but his ability to make quicker decisions. JA has a tendency to hold onto the ball a little too long, and in the RPO (WHY are we STILL running RPO???) he tends to keep it himself and run. I would like to see Hawkins get the start against Auburn. Auburn isn't a good team, but it's still not an easy place to play. Let's see what the freshman can do this Saturday. It's not going to fix our O-Line or our RB issues, but his ability to decide where he wants to go with the football instead of waiting for something to happen could be what this offense needs right now. AND it actually COULD help our RB's. Teams are stacking the box because they know JA can't complete a pass more than 10 yards; so they take away our run game. Hell, even when they don't stack the box their D-Line is still in our backfield playing grab ass.
He isn't seeing the field WHEN he gets good protection.
@@robstone7325 arch manning isnt sitting another year, he's the starter until skewers comes back
He was benched because he turns the ball over ever possession
Over all, terrible performance from the offense. Coaches included. Some of the play calls were bizarre. Why is a TE running down the line to block a DE? Especially when that TE has not shown that he can block anyone all season? Why did we continue to try and run right into the strength of the Tennessee defense? Why did we stop running to the parameters when we were having great success doing it? Why did we lineup in shotgun at the 6 inch line? Why are we having this conversation? Im not a fire happy guy, but the offensive staff needs to be replaced. They have been in place for 5 games and they have yet to show anything note worthy.
They have 3 guys doing the offensive coordinator job. That is a problem.
Vols fan here. Was interested in your take with OU QB’s. Still hesitant with our defense overall. Questioned OU play calling and Jackson QB play. Really liked Hawkins style of play. Have something in because he does what’s asked and plays hard. Jackson is questionable especially when hearing he was changing plays that were called by OC and making predetermined throw decisions before identifying coverages. Brent will get it right and OU will be a threat as always.
Don’t worry about your defense. They are damn good
Yes sir! BV will not stand for mediocre and will get this offense improved as each game goes on…we didn’t even have an offense for the first half and still were in the game for the most part, so OU fans need to be encouraged! Can’t go much lower on offense so we have to start climbing the ladder and improving each game! We need to play solid/basic this week on offense, and practice hard for TX, but we can do it! Good game TN btw! Good for you guys and Coach Heupel!👍🙏
#10 Bower Sharpe missed blocks al night
He couldn't block a bad thought. He's a horrible liability in essentially every blocking scenario.
And the pass he dropped that could've gotten us a 1st down, he was wide open
@@KColonelSanders405 and was scared of getting hit.
@@KColonelSanders405 would've been a huge confidence boost for JA also, after what he did to make that play happen.
he’s an awful blocker really just a slow receiver
I’m arnold fan but he can’t read a defense to save his life
Arnold has the higher upside as a traditional Pro, in my amateur opinion. He has a heck of an arm. The issue is he’s not processing things as quickly as is needed with a porous OL. Give him a little more time and he may shine.
The issue is time isn’t a reality right now. This is why Hawkins is the better choice at present. He doesn’t have Arnold’s arm, but he processes super quick and his athleticism to escape pressure is unique.
Until this OL is more sound, I think Hawkins is the right choice. That’s not taking anything away from Arnold’s ceiling. It’s high. It’s just not the right fit for this situation, yet.
Jackson has had trouble reading the defense in every game he’s played and that’s way more important than him having a big arm. The play he had the best protection all night when he dropped back to pass he stared down and under threw into triple coverage, that’s unacceptable
Hawkins is just the better QB right now. No if, ands, or buts.
He’s got to be the right fit for this situation right now. If Hawkins starts for the next few weeks and plays significantly better than JA was, Jackson’s gone when the portal opens up. He better figure it out quick
To your point of him being better in a traditional offense. I can tell he struggles to process a lot of the RPO stuff. Hawkins seemed to have done pretty good with it.
I agree with you. If Arnold sits for a year and develops more anticipatory throws with a better OL he will be good. The problem is that there's no way Jackson is just going to accept being #2 on the depth chart. He's going to hit the portal at the first opportunity if Venables tells him that he's a backup the rest of the season. It's too bad he wont accept a backup role like Arch Manning has done for 2 years at Texas.
Good film breakdown!! Thank you!! I’ll definitely be checking out all your sooner content!!
By looking at the film the OU had a lot of open receivers and JA just wasnt hitting them
When he did for some reason they don’t hang on to the ball
Really? Because I also saw JA hit a lot of receivers in their hands and they drop the ball. If the ball hits your hand you should catch it. That's what my era was always preached. Not his fault that he has no confidence in them to catch the damn ball. Not his fault his oline is constantly failing so you are making him scramble when he isn't suppose to be a scrambling QB. I literally watch Thompson drop 3 balls in the first half that any decent WR would of caught in their sleep. . .
Not sure if this is what kept Thompson from much playing time last season, or if it was injuries. With starters Gibson & Farooq out for the year and starters Anderson and Anthony nursing injuries, they’ve had to turn to Thompson a lot more. We got what we got right now unfortunately.
@@PatriotParty Exactly. 100% agree
My ears still hurt from fowler & herbstreit assault.
I noticed they didn't say jack shit when the Tennessee player had "cramps" when our offense was finally moving with MHJ, just to return on the next play. /shrug Herbstreit is an absolute power tool.

@@SnapsCFB_if only! Would love to have you here at OU.
Reasons Arnold got benched:
He threw a horrible ball straight to the defense on a play he actually had time.
He threw a lateral on a RPO that the read was to hand off. Even if it was a throw read the backward pass was never part of the design, just a horrible throw.
He put the ball on the ground at the 5 yard line. I don’t like the call but you can’t fumble.
Summary is 2 of his 3 turnovers were on the first play after a possession change.
OU’s offensive line and receiver situation is the worst in the country due to injuries so they are going to have to do something different because Arnold isn’t able to make this situation work.
Notice at your 5m mark, the pass to the tight end was behind him and he had to literally turn 180 degrees from the direction he's running JUST to catch that ball. WHY? Jackson Arnold doesn't have anyone in his face. He can literally lead the guy and could have been a great play. Yeah we got positive yards but it's not a good pass at all!! IMO this is a major issue because it's not scrutinized enough. Positive yards so people move on. BUT it's a horrible throw with no immediate pressure on the QB. yeah he's rolling out so that adds difficulty but he should NAIL this pass and he doesn't and he (JA) should not be getting favorable reviews for this play.
it's the MHJ show, I've been hearing since APRIL of this year how horrible Jacksons throws/decisions in practice have been and how good MHJ looked even with the 2's. But Oklahoma made the mistake of paying JA 1.5 million dollars and promising him the start not based off of performance but based on a recruiting promise that the previous OC Jeff Lebby made to him while being recruited. MHJ made better decisions and actually had the offense moving even with Tennessee knowing it would be one Demensional as we can't run the ball whatsoever and had better timing on his throws, he's more mobile than JA and honestly, they should have never hired Seth as the OC he played FB for Christ's sake. The zone running scheme is ATROCIOUS, I watched a 4a High School offense that had more innovation and game planning than I've seen out of Seth. Dude must enjoy just running into a brick wall because 9 out of 10 possessions he called a run play on first down for no gain or a TFL against Houston and we saw it again against Tulane and Tenn. I mean avg 1 yard a carry trying to run between the tackles at some point you gotta figure out ITS NOT FUCKING WORKING. To all the people crying saying JA may transfer that we have to stick with him, well wish him the best of luck because his tape might get him a starting spot at LA tech or ULM or something of the like.
Our defense took the ball away from Tennessee's high-powered offense twice and JA immediately gave it right back to them as if he felt bad that we stole the ball from them. He takes that cross he hangs around his neck a little too literally. He did it twice. The very 1st offensive play BOTH TIMES. We get the fumble on the Tennessee 5 yard line and JA decides he's gonna run the ball up the middle against those f'ing grizzly bears Tennessee has on the D-Line.
At the start of the game we were finding running room around the outside. We were able to outrun those big boys on the line. But then for some reason we decided we were just going to start running up the middle. Guess what happened. No, seriously. Take a guess. IT DIDN'T WORK!
Mike played better and didn’t turn the ball over and that’s all Ou needs with that elite defense
WOW! WHAT A GREAT ANALYSIS! Sorry my Sooners suck on O, but their D is 1st class!
I will look for more of your commentary in the future!
Thanks!
Love the break down Aaron!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Also it just looks like the ball zips a bit more from Hawkins no? Seems like there’s something mental going on with Arnold as the half went on
Yeah it's called We Todd did.
Feel bad for Arnold, but he just hasn’t looked confident from the way he looked vs Arizona all the way up until Hawkins took the field. Players consoling him on the sideline. I’ve never seen an OU quarterback look so down before it’s almost strange. Could you imagine Baker Mayfield being consoled by the defense sitting down on the bench with their arms around him? Hell no when Baker messed up he was literally hoping around on the sideline saying, “it’s okay guys it’s okay!! We’re still in this! give me the fuckin ball back and I’ll make it up to you!!” And there is just not this kind of vibe with Arnold. Did anyone else notice right before Hawkins came out Arnold was standing on the sideline and the cameraman kinda panned around him and Arnold made eye contact with him and kind of shook his head!??? The moment I saw that I knew he got benched and 2 seconds later it was confirmed. You have to roll with Hawkins until he proves otherwise. Arnold has had his chances , many, many chances.
This was amazing Aaron! There’s always more to the picture when it comes to being a successful QB. It pains me to see OU fans treat JA the way they did Rattler. Maybe the OC doesn’t give JA the same trust that Lebby did when it comes to checking into a different play or route based off what the defense is showing.
the o line has been allowing free rushers all season long. i think the biggest issue for jackson is he cant handle the pressure. i think hes got potential behind a good line. also the play calling is atrocious
From a Sooner fan, your comments about the OL and WR's are on. Both rooms have been decimated with injuries unfortunately. The OL is bad, which was not surprising based on the roster and even the guys that are playing are playing through injuries. The WR room was supposed to be great, but they are down 4 of the top 5 guys so there is Burks and a bunch of young guys with no experience out there.
13:30 Brent said Jackson was suppose to hand it off
Yep and if you look at that hole, the RB just has to kick outside and wait for the OL to capture the S and it's likely a TD or huge run at the very least. So frustrating
The play at 13:10 that you’re wondering about. The “tight end screen” was supposed to be a hand off all day. In the post game Coach V said there is no design for a pass on that play.
Like your breakdown. This is the first time watching!
I like how you skipped over the play on the goal line where he should have pitched it because that running back had nothing but end zone ahead. You're being too kind. Jackson Arnold stinks and you know it
It was a terrible offensive showing all around, including Littrell, O Line, and receivers not getting open. But Arnold has legitimately regressed every single game unfortunately. The decision to move on was 100% the right one.
I have a question. at the four minute mark when the tight end is asked to go to the other side of the field to pick up a D end, why doesn’t the quarterback let him pass by before he snaps the ball so that he’ll be in position to block the rushing defensive end?
Hey Aaron, just found your channel and am now blown away by how helpful/informative these videos are. One thing that I would appreciate is if maybe you had a google doc or a site that you like that you could link in either the video or channel's description that could have all of your terms as well as synonymous terms that way new viewers could play catch up on some terminology. Second thing, with the Roger pass pro example it would be amazing if you put a video in a corner talking showing a successful use of what you're proposing. Not sure, if that would get old with your returning viewers but just an idea.
All in all, you have my sub and I will be sharing your videos going forward.
I’m glad you feel like it helps! I enjoy doing them
Some of those linen couldn't block the guy right in front of them. That's the biggest issue
You're hired as OC at OU!!! We need you!😊
Auburn week might be a good chance to test who they want to stick with the rest of the season. Hawkins was electric but think sooner fans are a little too excited
LOL NAHH NOT SURE WHAT YOUR LOOKING AT ..... HAWKINS HAD THE SAME OFFENSE AND WAS LIGHT YEARS BETTER. JACKSON JUST BEEN PLAYING SORRY FROM THE JUMP
It's tough for any team when your top 4 WR's are out with injury. JA still needs to protect the football and that's what ultimately got him benched.
The one you called “not a lateral” was in fact called that on that field. Tennessee recovered. What a joke.
If Arnold has confidence and shows he can make decisions faster then he should start with a short leash. If not the Michael dang sure has the fan base. This is starting to look more and more like Seth isn’t up to the job.
Modern RPO offenses are complicated. There's a lot going on for a young inexperienced QB to process. Some of the RPO routes are option routes, meaning the actual route the WR runs depends on defensive alignment, coverage, and even what a particular DB does and if the QB and WR don't see the same thing then they're not going to be on the same sheet of music. On any given down the QB is going to have multiple plays from which to choose based on his pre-snap read, then post snap he has to make multiple reads in 2 seconds. People talk about a good arm and extending plays with his feet, he better have good vision, quick brain, and thick skin or the strong arm isn't going to matter. If a QB has to think after the ball is snapped, he's dead. Moreover, as demonstrated in this analysis, reading a DB out in space is more nuanced than reading a DE 15' away from you on a read option. Additionally, because there are a number of options on any given RPO play, it makes it hard to get enough reps in practice to perfect it. It's not enough to run it until you get it right, you have to run it until you can't get it wrong. You have a new OC, new QB, new OL, that makes it even tougher. As an OC there's a tendency to try and attack a defense every way possible and that results in a big playbook, but not enough time to rep the plays. It's better to do a few things to perfection than to do a lot half assed. A good OC can tailor his offense to the personnel he has and grow the playbook as the season progresses. Just hope you don't get into rotating QB's because that's almost always counterproductive.
What do you use to break down film like this? Like where do you get the play by play and the ability to draw on the screen just curious?
Currently, OU is breaking in two new QBs, a new OL and three new WRs in a first year OC's scheme. It's rough as expected given the circumstances.
When all that happens, you have to just gut it out and figure out what you can do reasonably well... then you build around that. There's not a lot of offensive staffs who would succeed under those circumstances. Injuries galore has forced in the true freshmen. We're going to see what they're made of and if they can incrementally improve on the basics as we go forward. All you can do.
Just found this page! Love this type of content! I learn so much. Thanks dude. Where do you get this type of film!? Reminds me of HS ball watching film
Appreciate you for doing these videos coach murr! Lol will you ever do defensive videos as well?
Maybe one day! But I enjoy doing the QBs and offense. Kinda my area of expertise
Sooner nation seems to be done with JA.
I think Jackson Arnold is a good QB but, he needs to grow within the Oklahoma program. I seen where he was getting extremely frustrated on national TV on the bench, when he was on the bench, he should have been talking to the staff in particular QB coach? It's just like you said: it's not just one player that needs to get better but, a lot of the team needs improvement mostly on offensive side? The other QB that played late should get a shot at starting against Auburn because he played much better than Arnold, he also kept his composure while pushing the ball downhill? I think Jackson Arnold needs to grow as a QB, along with dealing with adversity within himself?
Judging by your breakdown JA continues to make the wrong decisions while MH makes quick confident decisions. You said “I like this decision right here” far more with the true Freshman. And he’s an electric athlete. I think OU may have found a superstar in the making
the three most experienced WRs are hurt and burks got banged up in the game too. My coworker argued with me when I said if Nic Anderson isnt 100 percent hold him back till the texas game dont play him if he is hobbled which they did. He killed us giving them the ball right back after the two turnovers. He is too nervous he's not ready right now, they need to run with Hawkins for the time being and Jackson needs to just be ready for when his time comes if Hawkins gets banged up.
Hawkins just proved the problem is NOT the OC. He came in and ran the same plays with the same OL and got completely different results. JA might be a nice kid with 5 stars but doesn’t have what it takes to be OUr QB. Too indecisive and inconsistent.
Exactly what I said.
Your oline is garbage and Hawkins didn't face the same defense as Arnold. Gane was already in hand when he came and we switched to a bend but don't break defensive approach to help kill clock along with our running game.
Hawkins did look better though....but...be careful with freshman QBs. Any QB behind that path work oline of your's was going to be throttled against our dline. Best dline I've seen at Tennessee since the Fulmer days.
* patchwork
@rabbitscryptos7757 You're right. Hawkins didn't face the same defense. He was blitzed at a way higher rate than Arnold, and the starters were still in on Tennessees defense throughout the entire game. The secondary was pressing receivers with 3 minutes to go. Go to the 3:25 mark of the game. Hawkins throws a pass to Pettaway that goes for big yardage. The starters are still out there, and they were still playing tight coverage, but Pettaway made a defender fall and got open. This has already been discussed and debunked by multiple people. Tennessee tried to pressure Hawkins more than they did against Arnold, and they still had their starters in. I'm not sure how so many Tennessee fans missed it when OU analysts and experts were able to point it out.
Hawkins all the way he gots that moxie and seems calm out there and not a deer in headlights which j understand why arnold seems that way hes not as naturally mobile as hawkins and our o line blows. I remember like it was yesterday when we booooed spencer rattler off the feild to put caleb Williams in 😅i feel like itll happen again if they put arnold in there
How do you access all 22 film?
Jackson has been bad in all 4 games. Yeah he beat temple but he just hasn’t been in a good rhythm. Then Hawkins comes in cold and throws good balls to all the receivers. He went out and balled. He needs to be the QB1
3:38: you know he doesn't read that pick right the entire point of a pick is the the WR acts a blocker for the 4th and 3 quick out. Still the softest pick I have ever seen from a WR
Nothing says he doesn't understand the game like the 4 slants with press side vs 10 yards off and chooses the press side. The RPO slant before that on the backside was open along with the checkdown for the first/running into possible TD not to mention that the slant he stares down eventually get open and he still airmails it. No idea how this guy was a 5*+ Tyler Buchner was a top 10 4* too, he plays lacrosse now
Great stuff Aaron
Jackson would do better with a pro style offense in my opinion. And a stout O line would be required. This offensive scheme hasn’t got me sold yet.
The last turnover that OU had based on the read Arnold was supposed to hand it off because it was an RPO. That’s why everybody is blocking.
The rumor all summer was that Hawkins was the better QB in camp. Also thanks for the breakdown!
No problem!
If the receiver on the rub route play had anything in, the field was wide open. Could that play be designed for a choice route so receiver can see that is just do a slant ?
That qb cost OU the game. Defense was playing but jackson was playing for tenn.
Imo Arnold is suffering from the paralysis of analysis. He’s second guessing everything and he’s a bit mentally broken. Oklahoma can’t start him this weekend. He needs time to get his head right
Hawkins poise and decision making was night and day better than Arnold it popped off the screen. Arnold looked jumpy and wasn’t seeing the field well all year.
Jackson Arnold has 9 turnover in 5 starts.
You’re right Sir! You need an O-line to be effective as a QB! Just ask Mahomes in that superbowl he lost to TB when he was pressured all game…if he couldn’t do it, don’t expect college kids to do it either…but hey, I’m encouraged we’ll be alright on offense and get better each game because BV will not stand for mediocre play! BOOMER!
You kinda glanced past the other two turnovers JA gave them. No comment on the fake toss counter where he dropped the ball on the Tennessee 5 right after we strip sacked them to get the ball.
Then (as others have said) he threw the lateral where the read was run all day. The coaches said they do not have a lateral pass in their playbook. Jackson made the wrong read, panicked with the pressure and threw the ball backwards. It was a turnover, OU wasn’t lucky, and he was yanked after that terrible decision.
Honestly Arnold should have been benched before this game as there has been plenty of time to see that he's not good enough to lead OU to where they're trying to go dating back to the bowl game where he had a bunch of turnovers. Hawkins made an immediate difference in the offense and I think we beat Tennessee had he played instead of Arnold. Also remember we have Thompson who started for Texas and Nebraska. We had better not see Arnold out there again unless it's mopup duty.
God watching guys on the OL just not even touch guys or they let them just run across them without even touching them is disgustingly embarrassing and does not reflect a BB OL. We knew the talent wasn’t there but the mistakes you are seeing has nothing to do with talent. Embarrassing and never acceptable at Oklahoma which is exactly why you will see it change one way or another. BV is a winner and knows nothing but winning and he will do what it takes to do that. Just unfortunate things have gotten this way this fast on that side of the ball. We know where BV’s attention has been and we know where it now needs to be.
Good review, OU is down to some 4th team WRs due to injuries but no excuse to not get better where they can
Ok, so I don't know too much about football, just get that out of the way. On offense, correct me if I'm wrong, the play call comes from the OC and is communicted to the sideline to be communicated to the QB or in the QB's headset, correct? Now, after that, the QB can survey the defense, see where everyone is lined up, and call an audible if he thinks another play would be better. Is that correct? Now, if this is the case, is Arnold bad about surveying the defense before the snap? Do some OCs not allow the QB's the freedom to make those judgment calls?
Hard to make plays when every fucking snap is three feet to the left and your line has their fingers up their asses
Well done. Like to see you do Marcel Reed v Weigman or Arkansas w T Green
What website are you using to watch film?
How in the world do you get all 22 footage!?
JA seems to lack confidence throwing because he feared more interceptions with second and third team receivers which he hasn't spent much time with; MH played to his potentials because he has nothing to lose
The lateral was a misread by JA. Supposed to be a handoff. Total bust by QB.
We had reciever open all game, but either jackson didn't see them, or the offensive line didn't give him time to throw but at least Hawkins was throwing to open receiver when he was there
at 637 youre drawing circles but he should have hit burks at the 35 already. I think youre right they are doing some dumb timing crap on some of the throws and they need to stop it. He should have thrown to burks or run with it not throw to the TE in triple coverage.
OK, then you’re going to have to answer this for me. How was it that as soon as Michael Hawkins Junior came in the game we started having positive yardage he had the same terrible old line as Jackson did. How do you explain that?
One of (if not the worst) performances by a college QB I've ever seen in my 67 years. No dog in the hunt.
How do you get the all 22 footage?
As for the rpo at 7:22 their coach said post-game that they don't have any rpos where the ball is thrown laterally so idk if the receiver is lined up too shallow or if he's just a decoy but this looks very similar to the backwards pass rpo play that was ruled a fumble.
Well that was embarrassing as an Oklahoma fan
This is fun.
If hawkins doesnt start against Auburn someone should be arrested
seeing these plays is going to make the fire littrell chants get louder lol, I hope tulsa fires kevin wilson so we can get him back next year at least as an analyst.
he should have gave it to the back at 430 in the video he had a huge hole then he hit the TE late at 511 and got him nailed smh. Im wondering why Burks doesnt break deep on that play they werent even paying him attention. They could have won this game if they get decent QB play.
JA needs to sit a couple of weeks and regroup. It's all in his head and that Alamo bowl game is still rattling around up there. Support the new QB1, bide your time, and you'll get another shot. Especially at the injury rate we're experiencing right now, my goodness. 3 turnovers where he is 100% responsible himself, is beyond just freshman mistakes. The fumble while being wrapped up I could forgive but the interception and the backwards/lateral pass were just boneheaded plays. Especially when two of those turnovers were the very next play after we had turned over Tennessee.
Thank you people need to realize sometimes it’s literally all mental out there for players. He’s a kid. I’m sure he’s over thinking everything out there and playing anxious. It may take him time to get there or he may never get there
At 3:37 in the video why wouldn’t the wide out who missed getting rubbed not just run straight up the hash marks wide open ?
Instead re whips himself a hook right into the defender 🤷♂️
If I’m Jackson Arnold I transfer out. He is being made the scapegoat for an inept head coach
OUs has like 8 injuries between Oline and WR.
How do we get you on the staff at oklahoma.
The lateral was suppose to be a run play. Thats why I hate rpo!
I feel better after seeing this. I think Hawkins has more upside. Arnold can still be good but probably still not ready or not seeing field like should.
It’s all pre snap reads that these guys don’t understand. And a guy that played tight end can’t teach it. It HAS TO BE SOMEONE WHO PLAYED THE POSITION. It’s not easy to do when the bullets are flying. But it has to be done.
Yes Hawkins isn’t afraid
Where can I get this film software?
Of course you want to act like Arnold is fine, you threw down a video 2 weeks ago showing he was still good even when the problems were showing
Thank you so much for this breakdown. Looking for job as qb coach? lol

Where do you go to get this uncut film?
