I tried to share the links to the VSTs you covered for others to easily find, but it was removed it looks by RUclips. Maybe you can dig it up and approve or even better, just add to your description. There are 2 comments with 3 and 2 links in them. Thanks.
Thanks for the recommendations mate. You can easily make a full track with free vsts. Heck, I personally did a whole EP using only Synth1 and Dexed for the instruments. Keep supporting Synthwave!
Another freebie worth mentioning is TAL's U-No-62, a sort of lightweight version of their full U-NO-LX. Between that and GR-8 you've got your Juno & Jupiter needs covered!
GR 8 is my favorite sounding synth right now. I would put it on anything. The other favorite sounding synth is Odin. Both sound amazing even on the most basic sound.
Appreciate you spending time getting back to me! I’m looking to set up a makeshift home studio. Like I said before, I have the MicroKorg which is versatile, being that it’s analog and it’s pre-sets. But I think I truly need a midi and something with drum pads. The pads possibly the Akai mpk mini. But I’m lost from there!? I don’t know anything about interfaces or any additional equipment needed. The research I’ve done is fairly diverse. So I’m lost on what I truly need. To get started on this synthwave dream of mine lol. What do you think? Thanks man
@@TIPPYtoeup I'll be totally honest I think you'll want to have some experience getting to know a DAW before you purchase the course. None of my courses are designed for total beginners and they assume you know your way around a DAW to some extent. As a starter I think the Focusrite 2i2 audio interface is great and inexpensive. As for DAW, there are many choices, for PC I prefer Cubase or Studio One. Lots of great tutorials on RUclips to get you started! I hope that helps!
@@Steven_Beddall It helps a lot man thank you. I appreciate you being straightforward. I’ll get myself up to speed and hopefully get into some of your courses. My Best!
I’m just getting into recording synthwave. I put out a couple of videos and each is better than the last. I really enjoy this genre, but trying to get the real synths used back then would require a second mortgage lol.

Hell ya! Thanks for watching 🙏
Always fun to compress the snare verb too! Helps keep it really present if the tail is falling away. Great track!

Totally, should have brought that one in to the track!
Great Video!! Thank you for sharing

Really great synth sound and track 😊 congrats !!!
Thanks! That means a lot coming from you 🙏
This was pretty cool!
How are you managing to avoid phase cancellation with all these baselines overlapping?
Samplescience 80s drumstar, dexed and ob-xd are also good free ones for that 80s sound. And vital for a serum clone
Thanks! Will save those for my next synthwave vid!
Great job! Good explanations! Keep it up!
Nice! Thanks for sharing! 👍🏽
Is there a possibility to listen to the full track shown as working sample in this video?
"...don't get mad at me." 3:58 😸
nice one! I'm looking to build a nice synthwave template :)
by the way, did you also use free plugins for building the first filtered bass and others?
Sounds great! I think I have the mono version of that reel to reel😁
Nice, I should have ran my mix through it for this track!
what DAW is best for a beginner for making synthwave music?
I would recommend fl studio for this genre, since it has quite a few stock plugins with analog sounds, so they are good for synthwave
I have so many questions… in the mastering and mixing synthwave course. Will there tech/rookie support?
Tyx
great synths. when you play on the keyboard it sounds on the mic.
Also, could you please throw together a materials list? Like what equipment/hardware one needs to have, to get started?
Quick question, have you ever used a DAW before?
No brother I have not!

Not only that but they take up a lot of space! 😅
That noise maker riff sounds a bit like the Exorcist intro song
great track
So cool 🕺
Are you still using Cubase btw?
Heck ya! Just got Cubase 13
