I'm trying to watch every ww2 movie ever made and if you go strictly by the movies, the allies win almost every battle they fought so the entire war should have been over in 6 months or less if you go strictly by the movies.
Original movie is made in Yugoslavia ,its called: "Most",1969
An excellent movie titled The Iron Cross was filmed in Yugoslavia. Big difference was Italy was not involved.

Smart move by the resistance leader. Sending in a World war 1 vintage plane and not tell them about the 20 German planes guarding the train. The 2 doofus POW then single highhandedly destroy the train.

This movie was made just prior to the bitter break up of Yugoslavia in the 90's. Not bad good cinematography.

My review of this movie: To paraphrase the "sea sick" while in the plane" "I feel like i want to throw up!" To get an idea of the bizarre characters: One is a horny ex-nun turned killer who does not button her blouses.
This is a great film.
Two bars into the opening theme should be enough warning to stop watching immediately!

The German used capture T 34 tanks, mostly of the Eastern front and occupied nations.

That movie is a mix of several movies and definitely the mix is awful.
Ex Yu movies about WW2 were made mostly in "western" style as many others.
Actually it wasn't so bad for the period from 1960-1989.
But it's important to know that allmost every movie was based on a true events and dramatised to be in movie or series form.
Main scenes were from movie "Partizanska eskadrila" (Partisan squadron).
It's interesting story about a raising a Yugoslav Airforce during the second world war.
In real events first partisan pilots were Franjo Kluz I Rudi Čajevec. They were deserted from Axis forces with 2 old biplanes and that's their dramatised story.
Yugoslavia didn't put too much money in the film industry so it will be unrealistic to expect something like "Pearl harbour" or "Battle for Midway". Mainly the story in partisan movies is to show how hard is being underdogs in war and how individuals were surviving or not in that time.
I think they probably were. I always knew it was a tragic mistake to work hard during the summer to get myself through University... 😂

Can't watch this, 80s soundtrack in a ww2 movie? Cheesy dialog, just like watching a indie civil war movie, not quite real.
Try watching 'Hell Boats' from about ten years earlier and see how a cheesy war movie with anachronistic spaghetti styling could be done properly.

Actors in the movie are mostly ex Yugoslav actors.
Look at the movie "Partizanska eskadrila" and you will be able to find same scenes in both films.
