i luv how the sub-frame for the front axle just stops dead in it's tracks when it hits the wall, but the rest of the bus just keeps on rollin'! that's one strong sub-frame assembly.
Answer: The windows are on hinges which can be unlocked by pulling on a lever. Public vehicles also have roof openings in case the bus rolls over on the door side.
Every coach and bus here in the states has the engine in the rear, Of course we have actual mountains here and you need the weight on the duels in the snow. You are not going to climb an 8% grade on ice with your engine in the middle of the coach. So do you guys apply chains to your tires or do you have automatic chains?
Driver - crushed 1st row - dislodged, thrown against dashboard 2nd row - dislodged behind 1st row 3rd row - lifted up, seats dislodged somewhat 4th row - 13th row - seats intact (save for a couple that were hit by unbelted dummies) In the drivers seat and 1st row - death 2nd row - death or serious injury 3rd row - significant injury 4th row - 13th row - no injury or minor injury if belted 3 point, moderate injury if lap belted, minor to fatal injury if unbelted
Just saw the new seat belts yesterday. Terrible design. Metal rod with sharp plastic hooked right into the headrests. Yep, right by your face. Brilliant.
@crazydoc0k yea and thats the purpose of this test is to measure the safety of the passangers in a worst case scenario and like i say the driver would of survive in other real life situation.
@throwyouunderthebus It was 30, there was recently a 35 mph bus crash test and it was even worse than this. Lets just say the 4th row in that test was like the 3rd row in this test - that's about 3 feet more crumpling.
Good design for a bus. The driver has good motivation to drive safely. Actually, I have never understood the engine in back design. It is space efficient but it seems to me safety wise and aerodynamically it would be better to have front engine.
Depends on where you drive. I drive in the Rocky Mountains. It's all unmovable walls on one side and steep drops on the other. Even is a head on with something as small as a utility truck the driver will be hurt. We had one a few years ago, driver had to be cut out. That was in J not an E and the J's have a stronger frame.
It actually goes wrong like this so once in a while. I think it was 1 1/2 year ago a bus full of belgium kids hit a almost flat wall. Lots of deaths...
I can see the bus manufacture responding by saying..."You silly people, most bus accidents don't occur with a 15 foot wall, but with small cars and thus the driver will be safe, as the bus will literally drive over smaller cars".
if this was a real crash, the news report go a little like this: "emergency crews arrived at the scene to find a cartoon style, bus driver shaped hole in the wall"
@hotmercedes They test what the contruction can take and how it will deform. When it will withstand a wall well, it sure will when it crashes into a Truck or something.
I miss 2009.. when i was younger.. and life wasnt so complicated :(
personaly i miss the 90s
abderaman alzemouri
me too.
GamingNorge - Norsk Gaming! How is life any different in 2009 dude?
Conex Xenon Much changes..
GamingNorge - Norsk Gaming! Nothing really changed dude...
I think i've discovered the crash test side of youtube, nice!
Am i the only one who likes the music? It's so soothing
This taught me to always sit near the back of the bus
if there is a truck running behind BUS, it will kill you anyway
+xmeda Air in the middle inside row.
MIDDLE.
i luv how the sub-frame for the front axle just stops dead in it's tracks when it hits the wall, but the rest of the bus just keeps on rollin'!
that's one strong sub-frame assembly.
Kozackie boczne szyby. Gną się jak chcą.
and this reminds me why i love driving conventional buses
Poor driver - someone notify his family...
this music makes the bus crash so majestic.......
RIP bus driver, at least the engine is safe though :D
So allways sit in the middle.?
as a coach driver myself... hard to watch =/
don't think i need to tell you why
Sæglópur by Sigur Rós (name is also available on video description)
This video made me love the band
R.I.P Driver !! thanks for the Ride (:
Cool, I like how they use the driver to absorb the energy of the hit. Good thinking.
Excellent music choice!
beautiful vid
What are the different bus crash tests that they do on a bus as compared to a car or truck?
Well, the door looks good!
THIS MUSIC IS IN ICELANDIC , thank's, crazy video , never thought of this before
@TomasBelloXD The shell handle the impact well and I am glad to see Chinese product improving.
After the first view of the crash, my first thought was "Whose gonna clean THAT up?"
THAT LOOKS SO COOL CAUSE ITS THROUGH THE FISH EYE CAM!
Probably your best bet depending the type of crash.
VIXEN !!!!!!!!!!!
Answer: The windows are on hinges which can be unlocked by pulling on a lever. Public vehicles also have roof openings in case the bus rolls over on the door side.
That is a really cool bus crash test and that cool song saeglopur by sigur ros.

Driver on the backseat : Im ok !
@minicequela I think the band name is Sigur Ros but I don't know the song name.
How often does a bus crash into a concrete wall at this speed?
dobrýýý :-)
lol, looks like the bus is ready for take off xD
Can anyone tell me what the name of the background song is please?
Well at least the Door looks Nice
😎😎😎
Where are the ones on the inside row fastened?
Am I the only one who is here that loves Sigur Rós and has like most of they're albums...
Driver - crushed
1st row - dislodged, thrown against dashboard
2nd row - dislodged behind 1st row
3rd row - lifted up, seats dislodged somewhat
4th row - 13th row - seats intact (save for a couple that were hit by unbelted dummies)
In the drivers seat and 1st row - death
2nd row - death or serious injury
3rd row - significant injury
4th row - 13th row - no injury or minor injury if belted 3 point, moderate injury if lap belted, minor to fatal injury if unbelted
the
song is Sigur Ros - Sæglópur
Just saw the new seat belts yesterday. Terrible design. Metal rod with sharp plastic hooked right into the headrests. Yep, right by your face. Brilliant.
And this is why i always sits in the back of the bus :D
@Luminith the first 3-4 rows are extinguished instantly
In short: Everybody survives but the driver :)
How far would a smart car fly if it got hit by a bus?
Crash test inspector. Coolest. Job. Ever.
dobra nutka
@KPNLFC yep thats made me think twice about sitting by the front
@crazydoc0k yea and thats the purpose of this test is to measure the safety of the passangers in a worst case scenario and like i say the driver would of survive in other real life situation.
i like
Reminder for me : Never sit in the front , the back is always the best place in case of a front impact
could enybody tell me the name of the song?i like this song since 2009
Clearly the captain goes down with his ship.
driver dies in 75 mili seconds...
@throwyouunderthebus It was 30, there was recently a 35 mph bus crash test and it was even worse than this. Lets just say the 4th row in that test was like the 3rd row in this test - that's about 3 feet more crumpling.
Airbags are really required in busses.. full security as required by any car... they did deploy but way too late..
Good design for a bus. The driver has good motivation to drive safely. Actually, I have never understood the engine in back design. It is space efficient but it seems to me safety wise and aerodynamically it would be better to have front engine.
Word, I just said something very similar on a related video. Glad to see another like mind.
"Hey, where's the bus driver?"
they show this in every bus school and says "take a good care of her"
@crazydoc0k yea but often the bus doesnt stop like that either it pushes the thing he crash or break throu it
Wow no driver protection in that one in Australia
the buses are imported then reinforced and upgraded
If that was a real scenario, that would be the drivers last mystery tour.
OOT, what's song name for this back sound?
wtf is the glass on the windows made of??
Please, the title of song........thank you all!
what song is that in the background? thanks =)
That settles it, I'm never driving buses !!
Very beautiful music used. Tell me what is it? (Artist and song name?) Thank you. :)
@luluplane No airbags in buses, and the driver usually only gets a lap belt, no shoulder belt.
@workshop77777 It's no airbag, it's just glass bending and reflecting light at various angles.
I'd say that this bus is the safest place to be in a wreck when you're in the very back.
Depends on where you drive.
I drive in the Rocky Mountains.
It's all unmovable walls on one side and steep drops on the other.

Right, what did they test? Was it a succes?
if this was a real crash, the news report go a little like this: "emergency crews arrived at the scene to find a cartoon style, bus driver shaped hole in the wall"
@ilterisbuminkarahan Well, if you want the name of the song... look at the description -_-
Don't you care about the bus test but the soundtrack has it going on
Did the driver jump out. I didnt see him at the end.
if i ever decide to be a bus driver, i will consider this video before i drive the bus into a huge solid wall
That's why the cool kids sit in the back.
@rubiks15 Yeah but someone else crashing into a bus (unless they're in a lorry or another bus) won't do much damage.
@hotmercedes They test what the contruction can take and how it will deform. When it will withstand a wall well, it sure will when it crashes into a Truck or something.
that's why when i board a bus, i sit beside the emergency exit door
this is why i prefer the back or the middle
@Luminith yea but how often does he hit something bigger then the bus? lol not every day you come across a 10 ton steel wall
Nice song...
@minicequela saeglopur Album: Takk
Классный автобус, был!
This is relaxing 💤
both :)
and yet again the cool kids in the back of the bus survive
This is why I sit in the back seat on a bus.
what if something rams into the back of the bus huh?
the bus driver acts as the crush zone
@rennovak
Oh Thank You very much =)
well, thats the bus driver gone.
is there a airbag?
The bus driver gives his life for the passengers
Ok, good video, but where is my sausages?
driver = facelifted epicly
