I have both. Magic Keyboard is better. Can actually be used on your lap unlike Logitech. The case part of the Logitech is not constructed very well. The area around the speaker grills has become very loose and floppy over time, which if you’re a little OCD like me is very annoying. The only thing I miss between the two is the extra function row of keys on the Logitech and the larger track pad. Everything else from quality, typing experience, integration, etc is better with Magic Keyboard. If you’re on the fence either will be a great experience compared to used the touchscreen for typing. If you want to be able to use your ipad as a laptop replacement and actually want to use it on your lap get Magic Keyboard. Otherwise save a few dollars if the floppy speaker parts of the Logitech won’t bother you.

The only thing keeping me from buying a keyboard case is the lack of pencil storage on all of them.. Even this case is subpar in that department. Just having the pencil (which is expensive by the way), out in the open only secured by a magnet does not feel right to me. My current case, while not a keyboard case, is a folio with a built in slot for the pencil to lay in (while maintaining contact for charging) that gets covered when the case is folded closed. I use the pencil daily, probably more than I would a keyboard.

The iPad works amazingly the box came a little dirty, ruclips.net/user/postUgkxUGaHtKW8MwCql2fPyIm9-ftTqSMzKFFA no plastic wrap, but the box was sealed and had everything else in the box along with the wrapping, the iPad itself is gorgeous, I got the yellow 64g game storage is good for me along with Socials and school stuff. No scratches or marks came with the charger and box fast speed, and if you are buying a pen get the 1st gen don’t make the mistake I did !!

I got a great deal on eBay for a used 2021 iPad Pro 12.9, Logi combo touch, and Apple pencil 2s with glass screen protector installed. I really like the keyboard, but I don’t like the kickstand, because you can’t use it on your lap

Disagree. Tried the Logitech Combo Touch and is pretty good but…Magic Keyboard is a slightly better typing and track experience. Love the extra charging port too. The LCT is just impossible on a lap where the MK is easy and has a small footprint otherwise too. The hinge is just wonky on the LCT, Not having function keys is ok with me. I just use the volume adjustment on the pad. You state Magic Keyboard is not backlit--wrong-Magi is nicely backlit. I like just being able to remove the pad easily for drawing. Removing the keyboard and turning it around for storage with LCT is fiddly. Though I get there is added protection I don’t take I pad away from home very often and the Magic keyboard is enough protection for me as I usually have it in a carrier or pack. The extra weight is surprisingly noticeable as you said. Tried em both and Apple Engineers have done it again…though the price might be a break point for some.

Sadly this logitech ipad pro case is MUCH MUCH worse compared to their Ipad pro case for gen 1&2. That was so freaking good. The stand have a REAL hinge in metal and was built like a tank.
This new one for the new ipads is just so flimsy and back build quality.
I bought the new ipad with this. But was so disappointed with the horrible build quality compared to their old one I had on my ipad pro 12.9 2017 ;/
The kickstand is a joke, and will most likely not last.

I prefer the Brydge and Apple as they can sit on your lap without a floppy keyboard. It has greater protection but I have never experienced any damage using the Brydge or Apple. The advantage of the Logitech is that it is easier to remove the keyboard and use the iPad on its own? It is def a quality option and nice that iPad owners get great choice which is one of many reasons I prefer Apple over say Samsung.

@@Dr.Hiccup …choice of keyboards. There are at least four very good keyboards for most iPads and plenty of middling ones. Samsung has their own or some rather disappointing third party ones. For someone that does 75% of their work typing, this is value added and a win for me.

I agree, it is heavy and quite cumbersome when you keep the keyboard attached and try carrying it, but I usually just take the keyboard off and use it as an iPad when carrying it around, and put the keyboard in, when I need to type more than just a few characters. the iPad case (without the keyboard) could be sold separately by Logitech as just a nice iPad case as it feels so good in the hand sans keyboard.

This thing is too fragile. Once the connection wire breaks from the case to keyboard it no longer works. It’s a weak point to have a power running through. This is the limitation of the 3 prong connection on the back. In addition you need to clean it otherwise stops working. In addition it takes iPad energy as well to run.
It’s super heavy and thick as well. Mine broke and it’s a sigh of relief😅
