Thanks for the video. I have both boards, and a couple of other ones, but I never thought of matching them against other until I found your channel. No doubt the 2024 is so much better designed, and has some new features. Don't know why they made the original and the Pro this shape, pretty useless margins, and the pieces on the original don't even fit in the storage compartment, no matter how you try you can't fit all of them. Like you said, the magnets are weak, but I solved this by buying a cheap magnetic board that had larger magnets but smaller size pieces and never used the original pieces again ;)
Has the pressure sensory board improved at all with the 2024? My ChessGenius you have to press the squares really hard. Also how is the battery life compared to the old model?
yes. It's much easier. I remember the old version. It was a good workout registering the moves :) I should have mentioned that. I forgot. It is easier to register the moves. At least to me. I found the battery life to be a bit shorter but not that noticeable. At least not to me.
:) I can do a lot better. The thing is I have done SO many videos of these chessboards against other boards, sometimes I don't know what I have covered and not covered already. That's one thing I have to improve. Hopefully I can get the Mephisto Phoenix soon and do a comparison with that :)
Haha yes, you've done well. I've enjoyed watching plenty of the match ups! You could create folders/playlists for each computer if you like. Maybe you could even create a personal multiplication chart of sorts to keep track of who's played who lol.
You can use something like Scidb for this, just create a new database and enter the first moves, players names, result, date, and use the same tournament name. You can also use one of the other tags, like Annotator, to store the name of the video.
@@daniel_ionescu I definitely need to get more organized. :) One of the biggest problem I have is running out of space to keep all the boards. I have over 100 boards I have collected. Many of them not even shared on this channel yet.
@@DayanidhiTorrisi-iu5ie there are a lot of things I need to do. I really need to be able to add a screen that shows the moves, something like Chess.com and other channels do. So people can actually see the moves better on the screen, maybe with the analysis bar. I am still trying to figure out how to improve these videos :) Maybe it'd be possible with OBS, if I use that for recording.
I think chess genius should be closer to 2000. I do like playing shorter time controls because that actually shows the difference better. If you give them both an hour a move, they probably draw a lot of games. Whereas if you give them 15 or 30 seconds per move, then the hardware difference becomes more obvious

The Pro black pieces seem like grey !
I am colorblind but yes. It's better than the silver ones from the other Chess Genius board.

Thank you
my pleasure. This new board is much better designed. I just wish it had a stronger engine.
Nice comparison!

Lets say,Chess Genius=2115 Fide ELO, Chess Genius PRO=2220 Fide Elo
