Seeing calm & collective gyomei scream in anger gave me chills
for some reason that was the most striking part to me too. It was really interesting so see all the hashira with such panic and worry in their faces for the first time.

PEAKKKK SCENE
Muzan having Nakime scout the entirety of the Demon Slayer Corps prior to attacking Ubuyashiki to bring them all into the castle to wipe them out at once, is one of the most brilliant plans from a villain I’ve ever seen in anime.
what is clever is that both sides had almost identical plans and yet both still surprised both each other and the viewers in their execution

Nah, that statement still stands. Killing that many humans and turning many other humans into demons should have had a much bigger punishment than not being able to walk in the sun. Muzan knows that, and so do we.
All of his punishment has been given to the ubuyashiki family.
His divine punishment was yoriichi, bruh be acting like he didnt got his ass trashed so bad that his own blood has ptsd from just seeing the hanafuda earrings 😂

I like that all the Demon Slayers are together in the final battle instead of just Hashira, it's not a battle but a WAR.
@MrsAlanaMisako I am happy that ordinary swordsmen fight with Tanjiro and Hashira, because the Infinite City is full of Demons. If there are a lot of teammates, I will feel at ease.

Muzan's motivations are actually very realistic. Some people seem to think complicated is better but when you look at real life, motivations are really quite basic. So yeah Demon Slayer still one of the GOATs
Also I'd argue that the "simplicity" of the plot and characters (not that they don't have depth, but much of it is quite simple) allows ufotable to go all in with the music and amination like they do. There's not really many plot twists or "shocking reveals", so the music, art direction, and animation need to be elevated to carry the show.
I don't mean it like it's a bad thing - just an observation I had.
@@AvereeChaloupka Except this "simplicity" of the plot is not correlated to ufotable's music and animation. Ufotable goes all in regardless of whether a plot is simple or not and if the series has a lot of action and the series is successful and the company wants to keep their reputation for consistent quality, then they will have to go all in anyways.
Demon slayer is basically a masterclass of storytelling within a structure. The author got a controlled plan of how events unfold and end from the very beginning and never becomes overly ambitious or takes on more than she can chew. It has a progressive linear path and ends before overstaying its welcome. A beginning, middle and end. The goal is set. Kill muzan and end the demons.
You will never see demon slayer give a lore dump shocking twist that muzan was a small fry in a bigger and larger world brimming with possibilities where the risk of "jumping the shark" becomes a thing and we have to drag the story into a 500+ chapter journey.
... and the truth is, not having too many moving parts and be very digestible is a very smart style of writing that is underappreciated. If you leave things too loose and give too much freedom, you will get something like one piece or HxH. They will be rewarded for it but those are just the exceptions. The vast majority of artists that go that route will not only fail but consequentially destroy themselves. Whereas demon slayer is a great baseline for telling a solid story with a structure and sticking to it.

I'm tired of reading a bunch of people's comments about the story blablabla only the animations that lift the story up. Whatever. This anime will be my all time favorite.

I'm the same as your girl, I cried for like 15 minutes when the credits rolled, I couldn't help it, everything came together when they were gathered to defeat Muzan, I simply love Demon Slayer. We just have to wait for the movies, and I'll be waiting for your reactions...
Something I just realized, even after Ubuyashiki blew up, Muzan still used present tense to refer to Ubuyashiki's plan "Ubuyashiki is still planning something". Looks like the human will is immortal after all 🔥
If the Upper Moon fights are animated the way that small snippet of Gyomei's fight went, then we are in for a TREAT. Ready to ascend in the theaters
I read on another video that the director who handled Tengen vs Gyutaro is supposed to come back for the Upper Moon fights - and I can see that being a thing with Gyomei deflecting Muzan's attack in this episode giving off a similar vibe.

@@rohansengupta5662 he's seen through the eyes/cells of multiple demons that Tanjiro has learned sun Breathing. He knows from spying on everyone that he's gotten much much stronger since killing Hantengu too.
He's got PTSD from Yoriichi and the earrings, but I'm pretty sure he knows that out of any of the demon slayers, Tanjiro is the one he needs to worry about.

Demon Slayer is just one of those shows that when you watch it, you end up crying and getting emotional even if it's an amazing/cool moment. got me crying when gyomei was using stone breathing

Ubuyashiki's final speech wasn't a final rant of a dying man. It was letting Muzan know what was about to come, disguised as a final rant.
In this way, Ubuyashiki was able to delay Muzan as long as possible, diss him, and deceive him all at once.
Once again Ufotable just finds new ways to keep improving their work for all us viewers. Thank you Ufotable for this incredible work of art

I didn't think Demon Slayer would outdo ep 10 of the Entertainment District arc till the next arc, but I think they might've this episode.
Which is insane, since this is from a freaking TRAINING ARC!
Demon Slayer is really just built different.
Our boy Zenitsu falling scene is a Chef's kiss!
It took me a few watches to really understand the whole tiger/dragon thing but... I think what he's effectively saying (aside from any metaphors/correlations with yin/yang and balance) is that all of these people who are otherwise extremely caring and would have lived peaceful, gentle lives, have been driven to push themselves to destroy. The contrast of how kind and gentle they all are with one another and to other humans compared to how they feel about Muzan should be *terrifying* to Muzan.

Muzan isn’t truly immortal yet since the sun could basically kill him at anytime, but once he absorbs Nezuko he’d lose that weakness and become unkillable and thus have “eternal life”

the music, the voice acting, the animation. Demon Slayer hits all three SO WELL! and they do it SO consistently. Demon Slayer doesnt fall into my top 5 anime, BUT i still consider a favorite of mine. they stay very faithful to the manga, and put so much passion into the show, its impossible to not love and get emotional over. i cannot wait for the movies to come out. hopefully there wont be too long a wait inbetween them.

I love Tanjiro and Giyu's relationship
The fact that everyone was PISSED OFF when they saw Muzan was such a beautiful scene, people who are normally unaware of how they feel generally. Tanjiro who is a beam of sunlight, Gyomei who is calm and sensitive, Giyuu & Mui who tend to be aloof and unresponsive, were VISIBLY ANGRY.
Not just angry but extreamly pissed.

I've seen so many reactions with people complaining it's 3 movies and not another season, I haven't read the manga but I'm aware it's quite a few chapters to adapt into a movie timeframe. But everyone is also in awe of the s-tier animation of the final episode, a "mini movie" you won't get that level of animation for an entire season.
In this arc, he frankly explains the power of the Hashira of the Wind, the Hashira of the Water, and the first 3 moons who will die at the hands of Iniosuke, Tanjiroa, and Zentsuwa.
I was waiting for this 🥺
I feel like the movie decision was because that’s the only way they could afford to give the next arc the animation it deserves lol
Simple stories done well can be incredible, I would argue that lord of the rings is fundamentally quite a simple story where the complexity lies in the depth of character development and the resilience of good people

the whole "demon slayer's story is too simple" is such a buIIshit bcs the fact is that no one can make me cry as much as demon slayer, they give us historical fantasy story but we could also relate to their human interaction and relationship. The story is THAT DEEP. You cant just say it simple, bcs making viewers feel things without telling things to us narratively is SO HARD, and demon slayer has been showing us all of those things, not telling us. ITS SO HARD to make such stories. Demon slayer is literally loved by a wide range of people, whether theyre kids, teenagers, adults, and even elders. Its not easy to make a story thats loved by everyone (if theyre watching objectively, most of demon slayer's haters didnt even watch the anime and said shits bcs theyre jealous their fav anime is not as popular and as good as demon slayer).
@@han-ek8pm yeah, and not just that. it also plays with and revamps japanese folklore, especially yōkai, in such cool, original and interesting ways for newer audiences. adding even western influences, like Kimetsu is basically a story about vampires.
Gotōge's character designs and visual effects in the manga are one of the best i've seen in a long while in shōnen.
and is so emotionally moving and relatable that hardly any modern manga/anime series can compete on that level. it takes a very empathetic author to create such an emotional work, and that's not "simple", that's extremely complex and hard to find. like, prob the only other recent work that have affected me that much on an emotional level is Vinland Saga (and hardly anyone would call that series "simple").
i personally don't feel the story or the series overall is perfect, but i love it so much. you can make "complex" works and end up saying basically nothing, being "simple" doesn't mean it can't be amazing.
