I uninstalled it. After a day, I reinstalled it just to give it one more try and that's the reason why I'm watching this right now.

Interdict and Divide: In order to advance safely, make sure that you have Tanks, IFVs and Fire support vehicles on the flanks of the city and Helicopters or more vehicles on your side of the city, prepare your attack with Artillery (and if the enemy hasn't got too much AA, jets). By having Vehicles on the flanks you want to cut off the City from reinforcements and logistics. Group your infantry to squads of 2 in order to have smaller morale loss. Unload before your transport vehicles get shot by RPGs (normally 875 meters infront of the city) Entering an area: If you intend to attack a city or forest bring your reconaissance first. After that you bring Tanks and IFVs to gain control over the surrounding area (--> tree lines, smaller forests, single building blocks, bridges, hills, plateaus, etc.). Then you bring your infantry to attack the objective. Leave some space between your units in order to lower the damage done by artillery. DEFENCE: Loosen and collaborate: Make sure your units are spread out but are close enough to support each other. Reliev and Reinforce: Make sure to communicate with your teammates and also react to your teammates when they communicate. Reliev means to push in one area in order to lower pressure on another area. Reinforce means to directly push back on an enemy thats trying to push you back. Tactically interdependent terrain: Entrances, Building Blocks and dominant hills are tactically important terrain to city fighting. Once you get inside a city, you want to move to the other end of the city to deny reinforcements (if not done by supporting vehicles on the flanks already) SAFETY: Umbilical cord to the base: You have to find a balance between not loosing the momentum of attack and overpushing. As long as you have AA, Recon and a safe way back you can keep pushing, once you lose it you should fall back and wait for reinforcements. Eyes before movement: Recon is the key in this game. If you have no recon, you don't see your enemy and can't react properly. You can't shoot them and you order the wrong units to come to the frontline. Open and hidden approach: You want to encourage the enemy in their preconceived opinion and then do something he didn't expect. For example shot some cheap tanks and vehicles in one place and make him think you want to attack. Then bring your main force somewhere else. This doesn't really apply to 10vs10. Made the mistake of barely reading the tutorial and skipping the campaign , just jumping in directly in to a 4v4 multiplayer game thinking it wasn't going to be too complicated. Nearly had my brain fry, trying to understand what was going on, the guy angrily typing German words with Caps lock on in the chat only made it worse. Good video, I have some constructive criticism, try to reduce the commentary to the essentials in a tutorial video. Try writing in drafts for the commentary and then going through each draft and cutting commentary that doesn't purely add education for the viewers relating to the subject. "Brevity is the soul of wit" -Shakespeare (Hamlet Act 2, Scene 2). Keep up the good work! :)

So I got this game in a humble bundle and thought I'd never touch it since I have no idea what this even is. But I am interested it just looks SUPER confusing, so as someone with no idea how or where to begin not even this helps me understand. Do I need knowledge of military things? Sorry if its a stupid question but it doesn't look like a bad game at all but really confusing.
um in basic terms, yes. mostly if you can mass enough units and just drag and drop. its enough to start to learn. you will have fun just watching. and see other players ingame. watch how they work. mimic them. just join and start with small scale rear action stuff. like camp and learn how units move and set a small easy goal for yourself and build off it the whole game. thats what i would do, just jump in the game, set up the ui like in beginning of my video and enjoy!
trying so damn hard to understand this game. starting the korea campaign though... "easy" i have nothing to counter their rockets, or their helicopters. my infantry is shredded in seconds, i keep just getting steamrolled every time. extremely frustrating
Those campaigns are not very good start or games in general at all. Try the skirmish game vs computer easy to learn game. The campaign requires you to position army divisions with other division so what you discribes doesn't happy. Like an infantry division hopefully you can pair with a tank and aa or fighter jets so you have a rounded army.
The AI is a cheating bastard to the extreme though. It'll know what units you initially deploy and deploy hard counters when the game starts, it also gets more placement points to make up for it's supposed stupidity
@@lnstall_Wizard yes or place specific units initially to lure out his specific units then quickly get out hard counters to those...like say lure out his air superiority fighters with a few helicopters and quickly order some AAA-units when the game starts.
How do you fight in plains? Like, I see no way. Use tanks, they will be trashed with ATGMS, use ATGMS they are going to be trashed by something else. When ever I fight in plains I lose heavily. Do I have to use infantry? How? They are going to be smashed by tank guns. I wouldn't even see the tanks themselves. To see the tanks I need recon, but I can't have that because I do not where the enmy is and thus I do not know where to move.
Stick to the fundamentals. Recon first. Then once you identify the enemy positions and strong points work around that. Fighting in the planes is an all or very little operation. You either need to overwhelm the enemy or send just a small amount to find them better and test the enemy. Sometimes you just can't pass. It is tough don't feel defeated. Keep trying and find something that works for you and develop that more. Most important thing is finding the enemy first though.
Super 67 That's what I am asking. How do I find the enemy if he sees me first? They would have recon to, and since my recon is moving their recon is going to see mine earlier, means my recon is going to get a tank shell in their face.

Great explanation but quit it with the interspersed war clips, seriously. I came here to learn about wargame and it's really distracting when gameplay footage suddenly goes to irl war footage while you're in the middle of explaining something.
I found it very hard to watch when there were these 10-second long pauses only to be interrupted by loud smacking. I really recommend you try to edit your videos to reduce that. One thing you can do is record the game without mic audio, then going back to add it later, so you can say your points without pausing/stuttering.
Go to deck in main menu and create one or edit an existing. A deck is a group of units that you can buy during game. Search for "deck building" to find what principles apply.

How do you garrison infantry into buildings? Are they suppose to be outside the building and still have those defense bonus?
Panasonicy yeah they just need to be glowing like they have cover. They will pop in and out of buildings. You can zoom in and test it.

+TheVideotoaster Okay weird...I exported a deck I started to create to mimic your russian deck...only completed a few rows then exported mine for comparison - noticed second character in mine was "M" not "P" so copied your deck and changed the P to M and it imported...looks almost 100% identical to your video. Love the video...makes it much easier for me to play now

Great explanation but quit it with the interspersed war clips, seriously. I came here to learn about wargame and it's really distracting when gameplay footage suddenly goes to irl war footage while you're in the middle of explaining something.

I found it very hard to watch when there were these 10-second long pauses only to be interrupted by loud smacking. I really recommend you try to edit your videos to reduce that. One thing you can do is record the game without mic audio, then going back to add it later, so you can say your points without pausing/stuttering.
Can you put the time in the video so I can laugh at myself? I know I was clapping 👏 once or twice because sometimes I do that.

Go to deck in main menu and create one or edit an existing. A deck is a group of units that you can buy during game. Search for "deck building" to find what principles apply.
Love the tutorial but the combat footage is not needed and is possibly insensitive.
