The littles did such a great job at the dentist..... Just too cute! I had a stye in my lower tear duc when I was 14.... it was huge and painful.... it was the first time I had to learn to put drops in my own eye while I was at school.... it was either drops(antibiotics) or having it lanced..... um... no... the hot compresses not only help, but they feel good the pain. Hopefully it will heal quickly for you Darik.

They did so well for the first time at the dentist and wow I love how kind the dentists there all are, it's always nice to go somewhere so great with kids. The first ever time I took my son he bit the dental nurse who was counting his teeth, I felt so bad for her and so embarrassed. She said it's ok it happens a lot with the first timers. My daughter on the other hand was like Reese and was super shy and didn't want to open her mouth but eventually they got to see her teeth. The second and third visits went much better because I was able to tell my kids what we were about to go do and that it wasn't scary. I find that helps a lot, like when I got my daughters last lot of vaccinations I told her a few days beforehand and every time she mentioned it I explained exactly what would happen and that it's ok to cry etc and she was weirdly excited to go, then got nervous and she only cried for a second when she got the shots done. My son who is now 15 was in the waiting area and actually messaged me to see if they had done the shots yet coz he didn't hear her at all. I replied yes and we would be out once we waited 20mins in case of reactions. Hope your eye gets better I had a very small mild stye once and my Nana said to rub solid gold, silver or green stone on it a few times a day and it would feel better, not sure why or how it helps but I used one of her rings coz I was staying at her house (I was like 11-12) and it went away within a couple days. I've heard warm water or tea bag on the area and massaging the area helps to drain anything out.
Using a baby shampoo ...yes shampoo with a tiny bit of water to clean the lid on a cotton wool pad or even using a q tip will help get rid of the bacteria make sure you rinse it off thoroughly! A gold ring clean of course really helps and it is not just an old wives tale. Changing your shampoo to an anti dandruff one helps with the prevention and it also helps with acne rosecea too x
Tea bag compresses help stys. Boil water and pour over tea bag. Let cool. Then apply to eye, using cloth or paper towel to soak up dripping from tea bag. It feels really soothing.
Old wives tale for styes that works! Rub gold over the stye six or seven times a day. We always used my mom's wedding band and then my wedding band on my kids. Stye would be gone in a couple of days! 🙂

Darik I literally JUST randomly got a stye the other week... I rarely get them, it had been years. This is gross but it stuck around until I forced it to extract.. they do not recommend that for risk of infection but literally the second I did, the Stye healed completely! My dad also had one and went to the doctor where they popped it with a needle and it was healed instantly too. Once the infection/gunk came out it was all good. I waited for it to come to the surface though.
I went through a period where I had one (sty) every month for like four months. Horrible & painful. Even my whole cheek hurt. 😳 I kept moisture drops in my eyes once it cleared up, used antibiotic eye drops to clear it up completely & hot compress 3-4 times a day. Good luck, I feel for ya!!!
With the sty , boil an egg and as soon you can handle it put it on your eye. The egg fits nicely on your eye. It will help the sty pop and relieve the pressure. (DR recommended). I worked well for me! **Also a hot washcloth on an ear if you have an ear ache. My mom had ear aches all the time and that is what she always did.
