I cant find this bag anywhere right now but I really want the ability to switch gears without having to take the bag off. Can you recommend any alternatives?
Hey there. i been using this bag for a while and i noticed there is a major weakness which is when putting on the rain cover and carrying the bag under raining condition, the water tend to accumulate at the inner base of the rain cover causing soaking the base of the bag and thus wetting the gears inside. do u hav such problem?
hey I went to enter in the contest and it automatically made me enter even though I am not 18 or above, please help I just wanted to see what one could win...
Haha, I thought I was the only one who swung my backpack around to the front while the waist strap was connected to unzip the back. Figuring out how to do that really upped my productivity, it's so nice not having to put it down on the ground... even if I do look like a dork doing so... I've got the f-stop Anja, which is a very similar design except in a 40L package and a modular internal camera/lens storage unit.
+Kyle Wolfe I never thought about using the waist strap like that but now it makes perfect sense. I really need a bigger bag. My little lunchbox bag only holds my body, 50mm, and 70-300mm... Time for an updgrade.
Nice. I've been using the Lowepro Flipside. It has the same features of access from the back and while attached to your waist. This seems a bit bigger though (and very green). The Lowepro Flipside could use some bigger front pouches like this one has.
I may have to check this out. Since my camera bags/backpacks do double duty as both a way to carry camera gear and the more standard hiking/camping/survival kit type supplies, I've had to stick with more typical brands like Maxpedition and Condor (I might add that both are very good). With this I can see my DSLR body and a couple of lenses in one compartment and my Solo stove and Maxpedition Fatty in another. :)
I always try to make it a habit of zipping up a compartment before the I unzip the next one. I've had accidents in the past remember we are twisting and flipping these bags constantly.
I kinda like more the backpack that has section where you can put other stuff, like food or a jacket or something. Usually a bag like this make me back everything when I don't need to. Good for if you need a lot of gear to a shoot, but for a hike I prefer little less gear. For a short hike or a bike ride, I prefer slingbag like the Lowepro Transit sling bag. Can fit a camera with 70-200mm, plus some extra lenses, or even an extra camera. Lowepro has a lot of cheaper option, and you can find exactly what you need. I also really like how the Ona backpack look. But they are like $400 plus. Really cool looking stylish city bags, but so expansive, and no use for a hike. I bought 5 bags in a year, and I still feel the need to buy more.
After watching and reading pretty much every review on this bag I just ordered it 10mins ago! I don't think I was ever that excited about receiving a bag in the mail! :D How did you like it on your trip to Cuba? Thanks for the review, I very much enjoy your work.
Sweet pack. Curious to see the size comparison between that pack and my person favorite pack the FStop Luka UL. I hope you bring it to Moab so I can take a peek.
+PhotoRec Toby OK I'll register... I never do this but I will this time. I ordered the Rokinon 14mm that you did a video on. It will be here tomorrow!!! BTW, I not just saying this... I like your videos. They give me ideas on what I can do. Right now I'm working on how to lower the noise to next to nothing and not losing detail or quality when using hi IOS. So far it works just great. Now I need to get outside at night (cold) to put it to work.
Nice ad how much did they pay U to make this ad ?? It seems they spent a lot of money sending this bag to many RUclips "photographers" amazing how no one says a bad word about it .... amazing coincidence $$$ = good review
They did not pay me to make this review but they did send me the bag. This is still my bag that I am using almost two years later - I love it and you can see it in my latest video ruclips.net/video/Asn_PH-VnHs/видео.html
+nicko198718 That's like everything dealing with photography, the mark up are insane. I give this one props for having the zippers on the back side though.
1:20 What's a shore shoulder? Is that a technical term?
Very few reviewers seem to want to show their backpacks being worn, so THANK YOU! Looks like an excellent choice!
No look at the internal side? :)
Toby, have you ever tried any fstop gear backpacks? Im looking for something bigger that can hold a tripod & slider while taking a day hike....

Thanks for such a great review! I received my BackLight 26L a couple of weeks ago, and love how well made it is!
would this fit a pentax 67ii?
I recently bought their firstlight 40L....best bag i've ever used!!
+JohnHPhotography Awesome.
does sigma 150-600mm fit?

+The Emo Emu Same here, and no padded pouch for laptop/tablet.
+The Emo Emu I was thinking the same.

Great review Toby.......I really want one of those, it looks great.
Sweet looking camera bag. Could use that for my wildlife photography !
nice looking bag, very practical for the field.
similar to the Lowepro whistler....interesting

I've got one. Except mine is called The Lowepro flipside 400.
Sooooo they ripped off a Lowepro flipside AW?
+bikefreek i dont know about that but where i live the 500 aw is 1/2 price and the quality on that one is stunning...
Ripped off? Lowepro looks like a turd.
Thank you for the brevity of this review. You covered a lot of ground in a short period of time.
Shore shoulders?
No - I have owned and used this bag for over three years now and it is fantastic.
Sweet pack. Curious to see the size comparison between that pack and my person favorite pack the FStop Luka UL. I hope you bring it to Moab so I can take a peek.
+PhotoNERDs Unite It is coming to Moab! Would be cool to do a real hands-on difference with your Fstop bag.
+PhotoRec Toby I'm in. I will have my Luka UL on that trip. I'd love to do a comparison of the 2!!
I got my gonna take all my gears to Asia next week
I like the intro song so much😁
I had one like this it was a Lowepro 400
Also very good.
It's like saying - yeah, I had a car like that Porsche. Just Opel.
Very useful review!!
+José Luis Avila González Thanks!
£260 ($376) in the UK.
LOL!! I was thinking about backpacks today
Then all I'd need is gear to put in the cool backpack. =)
lol
A review of a bag, with a half-second long flash (and no discussion) of what you're able to put inside it. 🤨
backaccessbags ftw
Not sure what my wife will think if I win the trip!
When I click on the enter to win... it's a safari trip and not the back pack.
+David Brewer the backpack is part of the giveaway

+David Brewer try stacking exposures using smart object's "median" stack mode
+telegraph_road Exactly what I'm doing.
great bag Hope I win it

This is not a sponsored ad. This is still my bag as seen in recent videos. Thanks :)

nice
Yay, entered & all done with same user name @cute88sky. . Thank you for the awesomeness, the contest, and generosity. :)
$250 for a backpack, that's a bit steep!
+nicko198718 check F-Stop gear packs, even more expensive and probably much better than these Mindshift Gear packs.
+nicko198718 That's like everything dealing with photography, the mark up are insane. I give this one props for having the zippers on the back side though.
You think that's steep....it's $480 in the UK!
U never opened the bagpack , just kept talking
+saurabh singh bag gets opened at 2:05
