    while deploying the html app using amplify im getting error access denied can anyone help me with this

    • @TinyTechnicalTutorials
      @TinyTechnicalTutorials  Год назад +22

      Hi Arti! 😊 Thanks for watching! This is likely due to the "level" of the file zipping. Be sure to not zip the folder that it's in. For example, if index.html is in "project," don't zip "project," but only zip the index.html file. Also, if you pulled the files from the links in the description, be sure you rename them to "index.html" (rather than "index-ORIGINAL.html). I named them that just to distinguish between the "before" and "after" files. Lastly, you'll need to be running as the root user or an IAM user with admin privileges. Hope that helps!

      Yes! I definitely want to do more "project" videos. In the meantime, maybe check out cloudresumechallenge.dev. I've only skimmed through it (no affiliation), but it seems like a good approach for building out some resume projects (costs $20 for the ebook).

    Hey, I am an Electrical Engineering graduate and want to transition to the cloud computing field. I have tried to take many 11 12 hr courses but left in the middle because there was a lack of coherence in them. Then I found this channel.
    This is by far 1 of the best AWS tutorial series I have seen. Short and straight to the point. The best thing I like about you is your way to keep audience engage, by doing practical rather than spending hrs and hrs on theory.
    I am at this Web App Tutorial and will definitely complete the series.
    But there is one thing I want to ask you , what other resources I should follow and learn from to transition into the cloud engineering field. Your tutorials give you a strong base , but what other courses or (PATH to follow) you would recommend to a beginner( who not know so much about programming) should do to be a AWS cloud engineer
    Thank you for reading my comment up to this point 😊

      Hi nexus! 👋 Thank you for the VERY nice comment...this made my day! 🥰
      There are various AWS courses out there, and it sounds like you've already found several. I personally have courses for AWS Cloud Practitioner and Solutions Architect Associate (see links in the description). But I would strongly suggest getting as much hands-on practice as you can. It's one thing to watch a course, or watch someone else do demos, but actually building a project yourself is what makes the learning "stick" (kind of like any other skill in life, from driving a car to swimming). I have some ideas for projects here: ruclips.net/video/x7YjX2_zGsk/видео.html
      But I also recently came across this video from the "Be a Better Dev" channel: ruclips.net/video/LTH9m4HkeYY/видео.html. He's got some really practical tips on how to get started---lots of things you won't find in a typical course. He also has a mindmap of additional resources you can dig into if you need to learn more about a particular area.
      Hope that helps to get you started. Good luck with the learning! 💪🤓

  • @RedShipsofSpainAgain

    Really enjoying this video tutorial! Thanks! One suggestion: rather than giving instructions, state *why* you're making these decisions and why we are using a particular choice and the pros/cons of alternatives.
    For example, at 12:07: the integration. type you choose is Lambda function. Maybe touch on why you chose the Lambda function and not "HTTP" or "Mock" or "AWS Service".
    Or why are we using Amplify to host our webpage? What are alternative AWS services to Amplify or alternatives outside of AWS for hosting our webpage? What are some of the advantages and drawbacks of using Amplify for this use case? I.e. easier integration with other AWS services, but maybe higher cost -- something like that.
    I think viewers would appreciate the rationale behind some design choices and it would help to understand the context, rather than blindly following instructions.

    This tutorial was very nice. Following all steps in AWS were clear. We'll keep plugging away for a solution. Really appreciate your vids.

      @TinyTechnicalTutorials  Год назад

      Hey @dennessey! 😊 Thanks for watching! This is likely due to the "level" of the file zipping. Be sure to not zip the folder that it's in. For example, if index.html is in "project," don't zip "project," but only zip the index.html file. I've had the issue a few times with Amplify. Or if you have multiple files, just select all the files and zip them, rather than zipping the folder that contains the files. Hope that helps! Feel free to post an update here if it does...it might help someone else.

    • @TinyTechnicalTutorials
      @TinyTechnicalTutorials  9 месяцев назад +1

      Thanks for the kind words, Kourosh! I'm so glad it helped. 😊 There isn't a great way to deactivate the app other than going through the individual pieces like in the video. Some parts have dependencies on other parts, so that's how I chose the order to delete things. But there's unfortunately no "delete all" button. But for future reference, if you build out your infrastructure using CloudFormation, then you CAN delete the entire stack with just a single button, which is nice. Here's more about that if you're interested: docs.aws.amazon.com/AWSCloudFormation/latest/UserGuide/stacks.html. Hope that helps! 🤓

      As far as the cost question, if you're inside the Free Tier still (usually 12 months after you create your account), then this should be free. Outside of that, the cost should be minimal, depending on how much traffic it gets. I calculated it using the AWS calculator (calculator.aws) once, and think it was something like $1.50/month for a few visits per month. Hope that helps! 😊
