Almost Endless! - Metal Detecting LOADS of Silver, Tokens, & Depression Relics Scattered Everywhere!

- All winter long when the ground everywhere else was frozen we were able to metal detect at this amazing field that we lovingly call The Field of 1,000 Holes. Not only did it have soft sandy soil that took much colder temperatures to freeze, but it is also just loaded with Depression era coins, tokens, silverware, keys, buttons, marbles, badges; you name it, it was there and it was old! We think it was some kind of dumping ground for restaurants, schools, and businesses in the pre-WWII era but we've never been able to verify it. Even when the ground was thawing at other much older fields, we still kept coming back because this place was a home run time and time again after what seemed like countless trips. Now as winter is coming to a close and the farmer is getting ready for his spring plow we will lose this place until after the fall harvest. We'll have one last shot before the crops go into the ground but I thought I put together a fun hodgepodge of all the clips of the good, interesting, or funny items found over many many trips that for time reasons just never made the original video. I'm sure next winter we will be back again, but for now we say goodbye to our incredible Field of 1,000 Holes...

I get more enjoyment from your videos than anything else on the internet. I take a late lunch at work every Tuesday just so I can watch while its fresh and it brightens up my whole day. Love you guys!
For me it is torture, it's still very much winter here and I want to be out detecting also.
I don't do metal detecting ...I just watch because it's like going to a party where all your favorite people are. Besides...who needs to detect when you can watch these guy get far more than I could in a lifetime.
Thanks Beth, that’s really made me smile! Don’t get fired because of us though, you can always watch when you get home. 😉

YES!!! I love videos from this field. Can't wait to see this one!
The "little balls" around the onyx are marcasite, a type of pyrite used on a lot of jewelry from Victorian times to the present. Very popular in the earlier part of the twentieth-century.
Awesome honey hole👍👍
That place is the field that just keeps on giving! Great hunt guys! Can’t wait for the ground to thaw up here so I can punch some holes!😎

😂😂 you guys have so much fun!!! LOVE IT ALWSYS!! Still great variety of goodies!! Cheers guys!! Our weather is finally warming up to melt the snow!!!
Seems like that place could have been a fair area or a large picnic area at one time, definitely was alot of large gatherings were held there, don't think it was a trash pit though... to many good finds for that.
That little thing with all the holes looks like half of a steeping ball that you would do tea in.
Good finds guys.
Another classic! Recently moved to NJ and would love the chance to dig with you guys! Happy hunting boys
That field is crazy. Hey Jason the toy watch looks like a pencil sharpener. What away to end the video Congrats Doug on the credit card piece. Did not know it went back that far like that. So cool. Another excellent video l really enjoyed it.
Great finds fellas! Jason you should find a clip of Arnold Horschack, from Welcome Back Kotter, to play every time someone goes "Ooo, ooo..." As always enjoyed and good luck guys!!
Cool finds! That toy watch-thing looks like it could have been a pencil sharpener.
A cool compilation of finds there boys!!! Can't wait until the next video!! Hi Doug!
you guys are a must watch ...
@@dogtagdoug6751 I look forward to watching you Guys ..
I believe the round silver looking thing with holes in it is for loose tea it works like a tea bag
Yup a "tea ball" you can buy stainless steel ones now.
Great video and Doug got a hair cut a lot of history pieces of the area
Awesome video guys!
So many awesome finds on this permission you guys. My top favorites would have to be Paul's fork, Jason's strainer thing, and Doug's credit card/tag.
HH stay safe and as always wishing y'all the best of luck.
There’s always a huge selection of favorites to choose from at this spot. Doug’s credit card chit was at the top for me.
great stuff guys,,,
the one at 20 minutes is a Cashmere Bouquet Colgate lipstick tube top from the 50s.
So many awesome finds! The marbles are fabulous for sure!
1st piece is probly Victorian mourning jewelry and the tea ball, missing a chain, held loose tea. Great finds guys!

Dude nice dirt to hunt 🙌
That unbelievable strainer thing is a teaball or Teaspoon piece.... Mamma still uses um....
I likehow Paul calls you over but tells you to leave your machines.... LOL Joe got him anyhow 🤣🤣🤣🤣
the item that has the little holes in it could be a pomander ball, for potpourri or maybe a powder make up filter. great find!
Wow guys a lot of sweet finds luv it
Love the credit card thingy. Nice hunt guys, thanks for sharing!
Great job guys 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼‼️
So many amazing things

Rich's medal is the Miraculous medal says, " Oh Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us to have recourse to thee"....
Thanks for another fabulous metal detecting video. As usual, a lot of great finds. I remember the NJ Parkway tokens, replaced by E-ZPass. Thanks for sharing.
Hey!!!! It's been forever since I've seen one of your videos. DOUG!!!!❤️❤️ SO GOOD to see you guys! Xoxo
If it was onyx you wouldn't be able to see light through it. It's probably obsidian. Still awesome find.
It looks like a garnet stone very deep dark red. It is my birthstone!!
@@busygirl4474 I was thinking garnet but I have a bunch of deep purple obsidian that look just like that.
You and Doug kill me man you guys are hilarious! Like Dougs filigree broach or hairpiece and that other thing with the holes in it that's definitely silver looks like silver to me great video 😊👍🦀
My favorite diggers...great finds guys great video ✌
I love the stuff you guys find five stars my friends thank you
Love the SAFE lock . So much stuff hard to believe it's in one property
That is a awesome place to hunt for sure. Carl
Cashmere boutique agate colour 🤙🏻👌
That silver and onyx piece you found looks like it may be the top of a walking stick or riding crop.
Hey great video. That thimble shaped object says Cashmere Bouquet
I am always rooting for Doug because he responds to my posts....(and he's very cool) When I develop my gold magnet you guys are the SECOND people I am going to give on to. The first is promised to a gold prospector friend "Flour Gold Wizards".
I always root for Doug too so we have that in common. Gold magnet… wouldn’t that be an awesome invention!
He called you a teabag>???LoL
Great finds guys! That thimble looking thing looks like it says, Cashmere Bouquet? Well that’s what it looks like to me! Happy researching Jason!
Well I got a Teknetics T 2 and I’m starting back … I’m retired and have time on my hands. It has been 42 years since I have used a metal detector. Man have they changed. I had a Whites coinmaster 6000 back then. Found a lot of artifacts. Enjoyed watching y’all !!!
The Calvin Coolidge "50" token is a cracker Jack prize
There was a Brooks bros. On the kansas city plaza that closed this last year. It was in business over 100 years! Great find Doug!. Paul's token was so mint looking as well!
That probably was a tea strainer with all the holes
I say this while it is snowing out, Cool finds as always guys, You know, Doug looks mean when he doesn't have a ball cap on backward lol 8:55 Possibly a pencil sharpener?
The red head here said pencil sharpener
also
Way to go Doug you’re the best and the rest is ok 👍.
That marble is awesome looks like aqua fresh toothpaste
This property is what dreams are made for
Looks like a tea ball
I LOVE this place. You all find the coolest things! Someday I'd love to join you guys there! Don't worry it'll be a long while. I have an old metal detector from Radio Shack! Lol
I think that first find with the onyx stone looks to be a ring.
Interesting little things!! That thing with the numbers around the edge is a clock pencil sharpener. My buddy Andy dug one for our museum contract.
@@dogtagdoug6751 Thanks, not a bad short dig. 6 flat buttons, a lil buckle, and a nice cigar and a 6-pack IHP, and other nick-nacks
Neat finds Jason. So good to see another video. And its weird about marbles. Every time it rains a good bit here, it washes up new marbles. Theyre all the same........but its interesting.
Been waiting for this!! 👊
Looks like it may have been a ring.
Marcasite is usually set in silver on that mourning pin and the later piece is the top of a ladies hair comb
I think that thimble looking thing that says Cashmere Bouquet Colgate on it is the top from a tube of lipstick.
I’m a 14 year old girl and i would love to go metal detecting and it may seem odd considering my age but the artifacts that you can find are stunning and fantastic
Any advice on where I can find a metal detector? and equipments?
@@Hailey-on9ms some sports shops like Cabelas carry metal detectors. To get one that is a good starter detector, rather than a toy, you need to spend at least $300.
Black onyx piece looks like a ring that lost its band.
