Our family lived around the corner for decades so I know that area well. That grocery store use to be on the west side of MLK and Graham where the Tofu place is now. It was more of a grocery store back then but after they moved there, it's slowly becoming more and more like a restaurant. The food is great but portions are smaller than my stomach can fill. That was my go to place for Lao sausages and khao poun. The to-go fridge laap is the best in the area.

Man, Hella, you supposed to eat the sausage and the laarb with the sticky rice with your hands. Fork is a no no. I just wish we had some Southeast Asian places like this in NY?NJ. I do have most of what they had on the shelves there in our pantry, but it would be nice to have even fresher ingredients to kick it up to the right level. That's good eating right there, and glad you were there with family, which makes it even better.
I did eat it with my hands. Started with fork because I’m handling 2 cameras and didn’t want to get my cameras sticky. If u watched the whole video I did use the sticky rice as a ball and put the sausage and papaya on it
