- Yes, you should replace your battery every year, but how often should you replace the alarm itself?

Thank you for noting that the CO2 replacement timeframe differs from the Fire/Smoke Detection device; I found your video while searching info on Combo Photoelectric C02/Fire Detection Devices... as I'm uncertain how this would be a safe option with the Smoke Rises while Gases Settle. Is the device mounted mid-room?
Thanks 🙏🏾
Yea so why is there a smoke and carbon combo detector? Good info tysm!
I changed the battery twice and then dust it off. Smoke alarm still gave a loud beep. Smoke detector was 4 months shy of 5 year old I ended up replacing it.
My issue is all my smoke detectors are going off for 5 seconds then shut off. Repeat.
I removed all of my detectors. No need to change battery etc. Smoke detectors are useless and there is no need for them
No need? What if you have an electrical fire while sleeping? Or carbon diox while sleeping?
@@mylifeinanutshell6931 I am not worry
You will give your insurance company a good reason to deny your claim especially if there are any injuries. Put some on there even if you think that they are useless unless you do not have any homeowners insurance.
@@Sulfen There is no legal requirement to have home smoke detectors at home. Per my insurance policy, there is no requirement for me to have smoke detectors in order for the policy to be active.
