Tunic is a 2022 action-adventure game developed by Isometricorp Games and published by Finji. It is set in a ruined fantasy world, where the player controls an anthropomorphic fox on a journey to free a fox spirit trapped in a crystal. The player discovers the gameplay and setting by exploring and finding in-game pages of a manual that offers clues, drawings, and notes. The backstory is obscured; most text is given in a constructed writing system that the player is not expected to translate. Tunic's isometric perspective hides numerous pathways and secrets. - Игры
It's so fascinating to see that, even after so much time and between different games, Ryan's instinct upon entering his first combat is still to run in circles until he's out of stamina...
Stamina is there to be used, right? 😉 it’s not like the game punishes… oh wait
The first person I've ever seen never enter the cave at the start of the game and get the stick later on
I love the way you tilt your head like a curious puppy whenever the foreign font pops up 😄
Of course you'd miss the obvious first door with the stick in it 😅
Not in any way a spoiler, but Ryan should check out images of the original Zelda (NES) manual to understand a huge piece of this game's inspiration DNA, and how this kinda leads us full circle from BOTW.
OMG ! I love the fact that you play it totally "blind" ! Thank you and thanks to the moderators. Even if it is not intentional, and even if the intentions are good, even the smallest tips might spoil more than we think.
I am sooooo excited ! I am too impatient to watch the next video.
Thank you
hiiii, welcome in! Glad you're enjoying the videos
I feel like when there are knowledge-based games that are best experienced blind (like Outer Wilds, Tunic, and Return of the Obra Dinn), it would be nice for the player to have a designated comment-reader who can parse comments to filter out explicit spoilers, but perhaps pass along useful tips about obvious game mechanics or things that really shouldn't have been missed.
I am so happy that you are playing this game, it is so fun
TUNIC!!! 💚🦊
!demon applies to youtube as well, no spoilers or I come for you! 😄
YOU'RE PLAYING THE FOX GAME! You just earned a new twitch follower, I am so excited to watch you play through this! 🦊
Jooooooin uuuuuuuus! (notacult) 😄
This game is sooo high on my wishlist, I'm going to buy it soon. I'll watch this first episode because I'm really excited for this and then I'll have to wait until I'm well into the game to watch the remaining videos. Super excited for this series, I love your playthroughs.
I've been wanting to watch your streams but you were playing Tunic, and I just had to play it first! Bought it in the winter stale and beat it so I can finally watch this series here on RUclips!
Oh yes, Tunic was my favorite game I played last year! I’m so excited to watch you discover everything I loved about it!
I'm very excited for this series. Tunic was an amazing experience to play blind and judging by your Outer Wilds playthrough you're the perfect streamer for the game!
aaaah !!! tunic!!! i love this game so much and so happy you do too only an hour in! one of the things i love about your blind playthroughs is how inquisitive you are, and how excited you get over the little things (it’s so wholesome). i’m very much looking forward to watching you continue playing. cherish every lil moment 🦊💖
HI RYAN! I finally started playing Tunic after seeing your Sept update video, I think I'm near the end but who knows with this game! Looking forward to seeing how you play. I'm terrible! But I'm having fun! 💙💙💙
Gratz on your first boss
oh man am I ready for you to play Tunic! Love this game
No waaaaay Ryan!!! I've heard nothing but good things from this game, I'm excited!
Beautiful, magical game ✨
Yes! Let's go! Been waiting for this since you finished Outer Wilds.
Thank you for callig the money cheese xD
Hell yes! This game is amazing.
I know nothing about this game - am so excited to discover it in this blind play through!
Just started my own playthrough today as well, and already having a lot of fun with it, excited to be going on this journey with you! :D
LETS GO RYNHARDT
I love just how different our playthroughs are already so early on hahaha, not gonna say anything of course but it's super interesting, this game immediately feels like a really special one.
Also I'm not quite sure if you're doing a pacifist run rather than a coward's run :P@@lilindigestion
Legend has it Ryan holds this stick along as Skyforge Steel sword (Skyrim).
Omg yesss love this game. Hope you love it too!
So far so good 😍
Finally got this game for christmas and now I can watch the playthrough
let's goooooo
@@lilindigestion I took a few notes while watching about important, interesting or funny moments, mostly theorizing about and interacting with new game mechanics as well as new areas, key items or interesting quotes or rethorical questions. It's a bit much for the first episodes, because everything is new, but I feel like it will get much more tame when we get into more exploration or combat focussed parts of the game. I thought this might be interesting, if someone wanted to look through a few memorable moments again or was looking for how you dealt with a specific machanic or area, or if someone wanted to make some kind of Supercut (I don't have any experience in video editing myself). Let me know if you find this sort of thing interesting/helpful or not.

Oooo, I love this game and really wanna see your playthrough since I loved your Outer Wilds one. Only problem is I haven’t finished the game myself yet and don’t wanna accidentally ruin any surprises for myself. Everything I’ve experienced in it so far tho has been fantastic, so I’m looking forward to eventually watching this series one day, lol
🫡 Godspeed, silverkyrie
I’ve watched about 9 minutes but I want to play this too so I think I’ll have to pause and watch your play through after I do so. You inspired me to play TOTK and Pikmin 4 blind after watching several of your games. We’ll just add this one to the list!!
I support this decision!!! Go play it yourself first 😍😍
AAAA TUNIC MY BELOVED OMG HIII i like this game a lil 🥰
@24:55 huh.. I never knew that the game is so benevolent.
Great game enjoy!
Hi Ryan! A little late to the party as I have been catching up on your BOTW series and just now making it to this series, but I love this game so far! It's so cute! And as a non native english speaker the writing reminds me of being a kid and only understanding a few words here and there in my games. Most gameboy games were not translated into norwegian so a lot of my early gaming experience consisted of the kind of guesswork you have to do here. Anyways, I'm excited to experience this game with you (even if I'm a few weeks behind).
Hiiiii Jenny, buckle up for a crazy ride :) that’s so interesting about having to work through un-translated games for the game boy!
WOOOOOO! YEAH BABY!
I’m somehow learning new stuff, not gonna say what as that would technically count as a spoiler.
Thanks for being careful not to spoil me :)
Bigger number better person!
Ah, Tunic...hope you have your notepad ready, you are gonna NEED it.
Oh it’s already been written in
@@lilindigestion End of this series needs a video showing off the notebook and reflecting back when you're done with the game!
@@lilindigestion Nice. I went back and checked the notebook me and my GF used when we played Tunic, we filled like 60-odd pages. There's just so much cool stuff that's hidden in such awesome ways. This game is an experience honestly unlike any I've played before or since, super pumped that you're going in blind and prepared for the long haul!
Whoooaa, you have an FFTA cartridge and instruction book? That is one of my favorite GBA games ever, and I lost the cart ages ago. ;_;
I LOVE that game!! I still haven't beaten it but I have played a thousand hours over different saves, I'm sure. I'm actually playing it again right now in my freetime.
Tunic is magic, please enjoy :D
I came to say that I will not be watching this series. I need to play this and I have yet to be spoiled. I'll see you after!
I support this, kit!!
Please stay away from the trailers too. i think they already show too much of the game.
For example : i love your reaction at 13:25 ! ❤ And i think that page was in the trailer... So .... even the trailer should be avoided. 😉
This may become a top 5 game of all time for you. I am very excited for this playthrough as it is one of my all time most beloved games.
👀
Man, I hated this game. Depressing music and visuals (why do people say it's pretty?), battles that require the kind of reaction time I just don't have, and a lot of confusing crap absent any compelling reason to bother solving it. (There's... a blue lady? Or something?) I have picked it up multiple times, each time hoping that I would begin to see what all these fans say is so amazing about it, and I can never get more than 2 hours in. Worst 20 bucks I ever spent.
But if anyone could make it fun, Ryan could.
I am trying so hard to relate to any part of this comment and also… failing 😂 but that’s the lovely thing about human experiences and how wildly they can vary individual to individual!
@@lilindigestion Thank you for this very kind response to my very negative comment!
theres options in settings to make combat easier; i had to turn it on for a couple fights because i also have an awful reaction speed and i was drawn to the game more for the exploration ^^' could be something to consider if you havent already :)
