As an Okie resident who lives relatively close to Moore, seeing those two Oklahoma spots was pretty fun. With regards to Moore and the storm damage billboard, central Oklahoma certainly has had more than its fair share of violent tornadoes over the last few decades but there's actually worse places to be, if you could believe it. But companies are constantly advertising for roof/siding replacements and shelters for storm season because of all the bad weather we get so for me I probably wouldn't have even given that billboard a second glance.
Laughing at the VT/NH round because I also very recently learned many students/staff/faculty of Dartmouth (which is in Hanover, NH) actually live right over the border in Vermont.
10:26 I've lived in the U.S. my whole life, but I've never seen a diamond road sign with a handicap symbol on it. What could that sign be warning about and why would it be right before a curve? It might be a Massachusetts thing or a Northeast thing. That might explain why it is unfamiliar, as I live in Iowa.
Could just mean a resident petitioned for a sign near their driveway. I've seen several similar ones when living near boston. As well as "Thickly settled" which always struck me as kind of funny.
Thanks for this video, these videos help me a lot with my own USA rounds on geoguessr. SInce I'm European and have never been to the States, all the different landscapes are difficult! I was wondering, which state do you live in yourself?
41 actually goes between the UP in Michigan somewhere, to I-41 in Wisconsin, thru Chicago, Terre Haute, Evansville, Hopkinsville-Clarksville, Nashville, Chattanooga, Atlanta, and thru Florida to Miami and US-1. It roughly follows the route of I-41/I-90/I-65/I-69/I-24/I-75
As someone from Wisconsin every time you said it was exclusive to wisconsin you were not wrong. The wooden posts are everywhere (thought that was normal) and that highway sign does look like wisconsin.
I'm laughing cause there's realistically no shot that you got that guess on the Tennessee one at 22:55. Like the fact they you Landed right there is like mind-blowing
I drove though Kansas 6 times. In the span of 2-3 years. What surprised me was the pine trees. Central and western Kansas have quite a few pine trees and they don't look like the hot weather pines really. The fauna doesn't match the heat all the time in Kansas. Missouri has much less pines than Kansas despite being the same latitude. When you did that first Kansas one, my first thought was Missouri. If I thought of it a little longer maybe I would have got Kansas.
I am from Southwest VA and I was up that way just a couple weeks ago for a wedding with my boyfriend. I took some time to show him that exact bridge you were on because it's such an oddity of the area. It's a beautiful place, I miss it.
Idk what it says about me, but my first thought at 0:42 was argentina 💀You make US look so much easier than it is, I should re-watch your US help series cause at this point i can only tell when its north south east or west lol
How do you do this? I spend a lot of time exploring Google Maps and street view, mostly at work. I work in a call center and I do it on my idle time. How are you able use the street view guy without know where you are?
You're such an inspiration to me. I love wathcing your videos, it makes me feel comfortabael and accepted. I love norway, however, geogussr makes me want to travel the world
Not knowing the Kansas state flag was killing me too Also, that last one #50 was the first time in a long time I've seen a spot on geoguessr and immediately known "I've been there"
Dude gets a hard-on over having access to potential views of license plates. Seems very disingenuous of a way to make location guesses. You're not even looking at architectural styles or plant species.
License plates are the easiest way to recognize states in GeoGuessr, if you choose to ignore them you will be significantly handicapped in the US. Regardless of if you think it's the "right" way to play, it's inherently part of the game

that solomon rd round was some dedication, nice job!
Thanks!
I used to live in Kansas, so if I were you I would’ve guessed straight in KS lol

22:22 It's pronounced the second way, Vine-land. If anyone follows baseball it's where Mike Trout is from
mike trout is from millville, but its definitely vine land
Man, ever since i discovered your channel, I've been watching your videos daily. Keep up the great content!
I really appreciate it thanks!

New York Giants logo at 1:40 also helps lol

I was wondering, which state do you live in yourself?
Glad they're helpful! I live in Chicago, Illinois :)
You seem so positive and kind
Yes! Love your US geoguessr vids man. keep it up!
Guesses 1, 2, and 5 in game 3 were sick. You're encyclopedic meta knowledge is spooky :)
7:48 41 goes through my small town in Tennessee

NY Giants sticker on the car at 1:39
New to the channel, really like it so far. New sub.
Thanks!
impressive result! lots of really great guesses in there
Very impressive! :) It's inspiring to see how good it's possible to be on US states!
Thanks!
So we're just gonna ignore how he casually got within a block at 2:48?
love this format!
Glad to hear it!

Maryland also uses wooden posts.

Great work homie, love the State accuracy vids
Great video! Do you have some sort of document or know of one with all of the tips and tricks for getting states in the US?

At 11:48 isn't that actually a NH plate, not a VT one?
You are the only person I've heard called South Jersey 'Southern New Jersey'. Everyone here just calls it south Jersey
11:18 I shouldn't have laughed as hard as I did...
don't think that was a Vermont green plate. wasn't dark green enough imo
31:48 that is so close to where my dad works. That’s insane
I vividly remember having 0:43 twice in the past. Seeing it in video form feels so wrong.
I recognized road B. I hunt just a a few miles north in Nebraska all the time. Had a lot of hours on the 283
The oaks you mentioned seeing in Texas a lot look like Post Oak (Quercus stellata)
Great stuff. What's your record streak playing this type of game?
My best streak is 14 solo, and 20 with help from viewers on Twitch
I am from Southwest VA and I was up that way just a couple weeks ago for a wedding with my boyfriend. I took some time to show him that exact bridge you were on because it's such an oddity of the area. It's a beautiful place, I miss it.
Same here! I live in Radford.

Lmao, I can kinda see it
I need to continue that series, or even remake it entirely. Been a while since the last episode
@@ChicagoGeographerwe need it back sir

Do you mean how to play this game? It's geoguessr.com Sorry if I'm misunderstanding your question
CENLA just means Central Louisiana. Always Alexandria pretty much
Kinda surprised you haven't heard of Washington-jefferson national forest. It's 1.8 million acres!
Aww once as a Kansan myself, I really could’ve helped ya on those rounds in Kansas!
You should add a counter for when you get the right cities.
I was hoping you'd stick with your Kansas St. guess. I knew it right away, but though you might talk yourself out of it.
23:06 it says exit 23, not 32.... I don't get it
Had to google cenla, turns out it's not a town, but an acronym for Central Louisiana (6:33)
Oh lmao that makes a lot of sense
yeah we have that a lot of those kinds of acronyms here, for example, you would see a lot of swla for southwest louisiana
the 84% clip is actually nuts. i'm only at like 60% i believe
Still really good man! I feel like I was kinda lucky this attempt with cities/solvable rural rounds but definitely proud of the result.
Everybody remember to leave a like!
Round 43 Idaho guess was well done.
oh man, papa has blessed us
You're such an inspiration to me. I love wathcing your videos, it makes me feel comfortabael and accepted. I love norway, however, geogussr makes me want to travel the world
That means so much to hear. Thank you for watching!
super late on this, but it’s pronounced like the word vine, vine - land
Hey i’m from South Jersey, I’ve only heard it be pronounced Vine-lind, never Vin-lind
NJ native; it's pronounced VINE-lind, like vines on a tree
Interesting, some others have said VIN-land (as in vineyard)
VA did look like PA
Not knowing the Kansas state flag was killing me too
Also, that last one #50 was the first time in a long time I've seen a spot on geoguessr and immediately known "I've been there"
I've seen a geoguessr spot that Was near my house, or at least I’ve been there or been driven through there like numerous times
22:22 It's pronounced like Finland😁😁btw i love your channel!
Ohio ruins everything!
