Which is better for a Vermont motorcycle tour north to south / south to north, highway 30 or 100? Thinking of doing a loop going up one side of Ny on hwy 30 and down either 30 or 100 in Vermont. Need to trailer bike from Dc up to Wet Point / Poughkeepsie area and start from there. Any ideas on where I can leave my car and trailer? Will pay for secure / safe parking.
I would drive north on 100... beautiful ride. Go all the way to the border town of Newport. Many small beautiful towns along the way. You will be up high along the spine of the Green Mountains on Route 100. There are several great motorcycle roads off of 100 with switchbacks down the mountain. Once near the border... head west and hit the Champlain Islands. Make your way south on route 7 and pickup route 30 in Middlebury. Very scenic ride on route 30 down through Manchester. Enjoy your ride when up here. Let me know when you do... i can give you some more tips and places to see.
I love riding in vt. I live in upstate NY
I love riding in upstate NY...haha
@@vermont_rider both beautiful spots to ride for sure. Indian lake is a great day ride for me.
Nice fall colors. Thanks for posting
Thank you 👍
I drove this route dozens of times while teaching at Middlebury College. Memory highway! Thanks for the commentary, so we know where we are.
Thank you
What a beautiful ride, nice colors and like the downtown, those round abouts we have many and arent they fun. Great video.
Thank you!!
Beautiful ride. I love old, small town New England. The Orvis shop looks like a cool place.
Yeah Orvis is a cool place but some stuff can be pricey.... haha. I love small towns with character too 👍
I've drive through Middlebury as I head for Colchester each time I vacation up in Vermont! :) Great state!
Yes it is. Do you stay on the lake in Colchester while on vacation?
No, at the Days Inn on College Pkwy., off I-89 and the Super 8 also off of I-89.
Greeting from South Australia, we are coming into summer here. I love the heat, hate the cold. Great scenery take care and stay well.
Land of the Million Dollar Bogan...he is a RUclipsr I follow but you probably already aware of him. I would love to visit Australia at some point
