Watching podcast so far, I'd say that we as Muslim parents must encourage those aspirations of aiming high. I'm glad Luqman is of the view that Bs and Cs are 'flopping' because it goes to show his noble background and upbringing that he was told to aim high. If you look to other communities such as the Chinese and those of indo-pak they excel in education with a large part of it being that standards they have put in place and receive from home. Also, when you're from the BAME community or from different minority communities, we all know that you've got to work twice as hard so upholding those standards do take you far in life.

All you have to do is apply, make lots of dua, and rely upon Allah to guide you to what is best. I am a student at the Islamic University myself, alhamdulillah, and I can tell you for a fact that there are hundreds of brothers over the age of 25 who are accepted.
Even if you can't get into The Madinah University if you get to Madinah you can study in The Prophet Muhammad Sallaho Alehei Wa Salaam's Masjid. You can study there under the Scholars. I think you can do a B.A there I think I'm not 100 sure. There's another brother on RUclips who goes over this
My only advice to all students of knowledge and teachers of knowledge....stop stroking each other and THINK critically. Allow questions to be asked, remove the red tape ...this is the only way to reach truth...oh and also teach science and technology.
