This was good in that it provided an example to contextualize the information, but I found I could use more of it regarding the descriptions of the Design Process and, in explaining Entity Types both text and their symbols should be used. Please keep the Data Base content coming.
I am watching these while sitting in a database lecture in order to understand wth my professor is saying… great videos with clear examples and descriptions!
Just hundreds of more videos to go and Neso will be on its way to compete with Khan Academy :D That's a long way though, unless they really boost their uploads ;)
Hi neso I really love your channel actually i learn c programming from your channel is make understand more than my class in my university and other thing I have to say is your slide demonstrates in videos is perfect is make comfortable with that. But i have suggestions if in the future hope u make Python course bcow I want to learn that course and I think if u make that course I think is really good bcoz your demonstrate videos is really awesome 👌 I found many channel python course too but some of them I don't like style of teachings but for me I like your style teaching that why I suggest u if u can make that course. Good luck
I must be misunderstanding. You stated that during the logical design phase you start the implementation of your database, but from what I have read (Connolly & Begg, 2016) this part is still independent of physical implementation.
hello, a quick question, how is "DEPENDENT" aka "Weak Entity" is going to be uniquely identified by "EMPLOYEE" entity, from given example in this video? thanks
Firstly DEPENDENT is a Weak Entity because none of its attributes can uniquely identify a dependent uniquely there we know that dependent is always associated with an employee and we can uniquely identify an employee therefore using an attribute from employee (i.e SSN) we can uniquely identify a dependent.
Hello. What does it mean a decentralized database? Does it mean all the computers of the network are not connected to one server and all the info is stored within that computers? I need to design a decentralized DBMS, but don`t know from where to start. Thanks!
Decentralization is a rabbit hole in it's own right, would be unfair to say a decentralized database is just another database. We are more specifically referring to a distributed database system that through chunking and paging distrubutes the load of performing CRUD equally among the machines used within the system

Yes, it is independent. This phase simply transforms a high level data model to an implementation data model.
