The only way Fig could possibly have attended her first bard class
Except even that the last one was “get _caught_ trying to eavesdrop on a class she could’ve just walked into,” but yeah
like a tiefling to a middle aged laborer
Don't forget the involvement of a skateboard. The only way it could've been more of a Fig moment is if there was a sick guitar solo and parental issues involved somehow

I love the idea of Fig being a mythical figure in her Bard class, a pinnacle figure of her class who has saved the world several times and has her own rock band that has *never* showed up to a single class in her life. A Bardic white whale.
To be fair, she shows up to classes, just almost never the classes she should.
That initial "Oh shit, oh my god, hi... oh wait, sorry I thought you were someone else" is SO DAMN good. Just like, this teacher knows of Fig, has heard her music and knows that she goes to this school but doesn't attend class and thinks that maybe this is the day, maybe this is her and doesn't know how right she was.
I love that Brennan created an FBI agent specifically to deal with Emily's past shenanigans and try to prevent further Hilda Hildas
That explains 22 Hilda Boulevard becoming a real location
The cops says 22 Hilda Street and 22 Hilda Boulevard both exist in Bastion City (and are on opposite sides of town) in the original Hilda Hilda encounter.@@VanNessy97

Just think how many years it's been Brennan has been waiting to introduce the Bard teacher, and this is the first time Fig has ever gone to that class so he can do that.
And he got to introduce two.
the bard teacher absolutely goes home to her long term partner and is like "babe, youll never guess who showed up today" and then kind of in tears near the end is like "i think i could really get through to her"
Oh no... that's heartbreaking considering what happens later 😂

This, plus a gently supportive and accepting conversation with her mom and a gentle (but serious) warning from her guidance counselor at her friend's house.
Emily's acting is actually so good cuz the fragility and nervousness in Fig's voice as soon as she's confronted as herself is so accurate and sweet imo
Cool that Cerrit keeps his investigation job after that whole kerfuffle in Avalir.
He took so long to land that he accidentally slipped through a portal and ended up in Spyre

There was serious stand off energy between Emily and Brennan when Emily realized who this bird npc is and why they exist in the world
the way brennan looked up and said "sorry i thought you were someone else" broke my heart. because they've been waiting for fig for so long

I love how excited the teacher gets at the idea that fig came to class and then was sad when it was a different girl
you can tell Brennan made the bard teacher the coolest character in Emilys eyes so she would actually go to bard class
Emily was in fact sent from hell to kill brennan
And thus did he concoct a bird person to send her back from whence she came... or at least try.
Genuinely love the approach of just being glad theyre there and welcoming rather than scolding her
