I’m a 41 yo french guy and I just discovered this song and band. I just love it, love it, love it for what it makes me feel ! I don’t understand the lyrics but I’m almost crying tears of joy and sadness at the same time.. Music is strange… kind of universal language ! What do the lyrics mean ?
coming back after 7 years. Last time they went to my town, I bought ticket but failed to go. At that time I had no idea that may cost me 7 years to finally see their live. I went to Beijing and Bangkok tours this time and they were amazing. However I still keep wondering what it may be like if I got the chance to see them 7 years ago.
@xxdubs Pick any in flames song you want. They ALL sound better live than in the studio. That's because In flames aren't the kind of band to walk on to the stage with the intent on just delivering the song. They give 110% every time. I've seen them live 7 times and haven't ever felt like they slacked off or had a bad day.
(am not from scandinavia but Estonia but close ehough) Since the entire media is in English everyone who watches hollywood movies, browses the internet or plays online games etc. will be able to speak english, also yes it is taught in most countries but by my experience most of the language skill comes from the social media (I also learned russian in school a lot and can hardly understand a word). So yeah, most of young scandinavians speak quite good english :)
Men this song sounds awesume live. I relly enjoy the wey Daniel svensson plays the song now on the drumms compared to the album version. IN FLAMES WE TRUST!!!

The darkness in your closet, underneath the bed wich is allways there. But the better interpretation for me is, if you think of someone who ist really special for you. You want him or her allways to be by your side. Its a love song, I think.
The line "maybe in another lifetime I could be the 1st you meet." coupled with "be your evil in the closet." means (to me) having having a attraction twards a female friend that isn't reciprocated. That's how it speaks to me. I always think of her when I hear the song
Vocals cannot always be corectly performed live, 'copied off' the original. There are little differences, changes in them, and that's why every gig is so special :)
