I actually like to squeeze my gouache into palettes. I add quite a bit of glycerin and stir it together. The paint dries without cracking and the gouache rewets very nicely! I actually prefer this method over using the tubes because it's less preparation and I'm more likely to use them. If you use too much glycerin though the paint can get shiny. So a bit of experimentation is a good thing :)
I love your in depth video!

Did it mold? I never thought to add to a pallet. My jelly gouache mold but I had gotten WN and stopped using jelly for a long time, they WERE in airtight container, but i added nothing

Gouache is meant to be used fresh from the tube..dried paint can be reset and used for underpainting and layers but it will always be duller and not have the original consistency

OMG, you totally validated me!! It nearly kills me to open a new "toy” and actually use it!! I thought it was just me!!!

Permanent (titanium) white is different from the zinc white included with most gouache sets. It is much more opaque, dries faster and has much stronger tinting ability.
But be aware, some companies formulate their ti white to be mixed with colors, others to be used alone a covering/highlight layer.

Thank you for clarifying! I didn't know the difference between the titanium and zine whites.

I got this and the primary mixing set ....needed that magenta. Worked wonderfully and also works well in my small 16 well palette. Now i do want all the colors.
