Hey! Stoked you’re making content again. I just wanted to reach through the screen and tell you I came across your channel years ago. I was in my mid twenties and felt stuck. Your channel was one of the main sources of inspiration that got me to dive head first into van life. I did it for years. I traveled freely without a plan and my only vision was to follow my stoke. I had loads of challenges but so much more growth and adventure that came out of it. I won’t say that I don’t miss the open adventure sometimes, but I will say that in my travels I’ve been across the US and back times over. I overcame my fear of heights and got into rock climbing. I’ve been to the top of many desert spires and have climbed all over the west coast. I’ve met incredible people. I even met my now wife through my van life journey. Hell, my wife and I still work from the road capturing outdoor adventure weddings. I now officiate and photograph weddings in the wilderness as part of my normal gig. At the end of the day, we’re all just specs of dust being crushed by the appetite of the cosmic clock, it’s so easy to think what we do doesn’t matter. And hey, in the grand scheme maybe it doesn’t. But what I can tell you from the narrow frame work of my personal life experience is thank you for inspiring me to follow a crazy dream. Your positive attitude and stoke helped convince me to dive head first “into the mystery” and while yes it was my own initiative that made the final difference, it’s fair to say that without your inspiration I may not have been nudged quite as effectively towards the path I took. So from the bottom of my heart, thanks for being that voice from the void that helped me grow closer to my true self. Here hoping you find the fulfillment you deserve. Our work is @adventureandvow if you were curious to see what part your channel played a role in leading my life into! It’d be rad if our lives ever crossed paths in the flesh. Cheers and thanks again!
I have summited Mt Hood many times via various routes in the middle of winter and spring. A very cool mountain! You should drive up to Timberline and hike up to the top of the ski area! Now is great time of year to do that as a day trip.
All the music in this video is mine. I’m going to try to use all my own music from on. I’ll have to figure someone out once I actually hit the road though.
Hey man, almost ran into you by total chance! I was buying an axe and a dude there was on the intercom “Jed to the tech counter”. And I’m thinking “I know of a Jed who’s a tech and I think he’s from around here”. I didn’t want to be creepy or bug you at work so I left before you came out but I was thinking it would be cool to say hello since I’ve been following you for like 7 years and you’ve inspired me so much with the van thing. Anyway, delete this if it’s too revealing or whatever but I had to say something because it was so random. Do you do fret leveling? If so, might be a good excuse to go back next week or something. The music sounds killer! Cheers 🤘🏻
Haha right on. I do the best fret levels in town. Your looking at about $200 depending on what you have, and that’s with a full setup. Thanks for respecting my privacy by not giving away where I work. Come see me soon!
Yo Jed! been watching since 2014 orrr whenever you first start posting. I make music/play guitar too, if you ever want some drums and bass thrown on your riffs!
Good to see you back out in it. Digging the jamz.
