Thanks. I re-watched it and I am really too wordy, LOL. But I want to keep encouraging people, so I'll just have to get better at videos! :-)

@@emmanuelreyes498 Emmanuel, it has been great! I knew right after the surgery that I "got my leg back", so that was immediately encouraging. I followed the rules strictly - no bending, lifting, or twisting. I then did my physical therapy religiously. I learned to brace my core before doing various movements, and that habit sticks with me still today, 2.5 years later. Parts of my leg are still numb, and my right butt cheek is always tingling (like when it "goes to sleep"). The nerve was compressed too long - they said it might come back in a year or more, but at this point, I think I'm stuck with tingle-butt. All function is fine though, so I'll take it. I totally get the nerves and being scared, because there is always that small chance that something could happen. But I trust you have done your homework and found a good surgeon, like I did. Watching the actual surgery on youtube helped me a lot too, for whatever reason! It just made it less scary, I guess. I'll be praying for you to have peace of mind, and my thoughts will be with you as you go through it. Let me know how it goes! :-) Jim B.
