キャラクターのリアルな動きと美しいグラフィックにより大ヒットとなった、後にベルトアクションタイプと呼ばれるアクションゲームがこの「ファイナルファイト」。「コーディ」「ガイ」「ハガー」の3人からキャラクターを選び、パンチとキックを駆使して、誘拐されたジェシカを助け出すのが目的である。レバーとボタンの組み合わせにより様々な技を使うことができ、2つのボタンを同時に押せば必殺技も使うことができる。新しいアクションゲームとしての形が完成されており、そこから色々な攻略方法や個性的なキャラクターなどが注目され、カプコンの黄金期を迎える作品となった。当初テクノスジャパンの「ダブルドラゴン」の影響を受け、「ストリートファイター'89」という名前で開発されていたが、「ストリートファイター」とはコンセプトが異なるため、「ファイナルファイト」と変更されている。開発名にストリートファイターという言葉があったせいか、同作の続編と思われているがそうではない。
ストーリー:
かつて、暴力集団マッド･ギアの支配下にあったメトロシティを再興する為に、マイク･ハガーは市長として立ち上がった。 ･･････しかし彼を待ち受けていたのは、最も卑劣な報復だった。

I'm 46. I played ff in the 90. Arcade rooms with smoke of cigarettes. Bad guys who looked me when i played. Im lucky to have knew these years and arcade room's ambiance with such games..raiden gang wars sf2 ...and so many other games.but ff is for ever my favourite game.
I want to go back to those times,
being cooped up in a house full of online gamers doesn't feel the same.

キャプテンコマンドーは４人で立ち向かうし４人プレイが出来るのに、ファイナルファイトは３人で立ち向かうのに３人プレイが出来ない。納得が出来なかったけど、この動画を見てスッキリしました。
まあそうなると、コンティニューした時に誰が助けに来るんだ?という話にもなるけど。

I was 14 when this game came out. I may have sunk a quarter or two hundred into this game. I remember Double Dragon was the shiz a couple years before this game but once this game dropped it was the king of arcade beatem ups. Still is in my opinion.

Cadilacs & Dinosaurs is great. Especially in 3 player mode.
However, The Punisher is Capcom's best beat em up IMHO.
This is wild. They stunlocked the first boss. I have never seen that before.

Final Fight is one game that should have at least been made into a animated movie if not a live action rendition. Unlike the animated Street Fighter II in 1994(which did not feature a tournament nor did most of the characters interact with each other) Final Fight naturally has a progressive story(Original conflict. Multiple stages. Different Bosses. Final showdown. Rescue the girl) that fits a cinematic narrative.
It would probably have issues seeing as most of its conception is based off of streets of fire, but I agree I'd love to see an animated series of Final Fight. They did such a good job with Castlevania I could see it being possible.
The animated street fighter in 1994 was awesome and shut up
It DID feature a tournament and most of the characters DID interact with each other. Final fight had no multiple stories
Didn’t have a progressive story, different bosses, didn’t have a final showdown and that doesn’t fit a classic narrative

ちな、このハックロムでは味方殴った時のダメージは0で設定されていますか。
武器で殴った時のダメージは1ドットのままで、更にソドム戦だけに投げた敵が味方に当ると体力の10％が減るバグまで存在します
なお体力0の味方を殴ると例え味方殴りダメージ0設定なこのハックでも問答無用で死にます←
