Nursing Home crisis

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services has failed to provide a reasonable proposal for nursing home staffing levels. This is unacceptable, and we should all be more than a little afraid of the prospect of going to a nursing home. Remember, they aren't just for the elderly. Many patients are there short-term (which could still be several weeks to months) for rehab after trauma, for example.

This is very thought provoking. As a previous geriatric nurse turned ER nurse thank you for bringing awareness to this. Many people don’t realize how desperately nursing homes need more staffing and higher quality care.
