Did y'all know that just a single hair sticking out of the red thing at the top of the vacuum can cause this error? Yeah, thanks for saying "check for any obstructions" at the start, it made me look at it a little closer to find the issue without unscrewing the whole thing!
!!! I used duster cleaner liberally around the laser sensor. Duster cleaner spray costs like 7 euro.
Dude, your comment saved me! One. Single. Hair. Removed it and now it’s fine. 👏
I also had ONE hair sticking out and causing the error 😮
I’m going to see if I’ve got that Single Hair!
Your comment saved me too! Thanks!
I followed your instructions and was able to replace the motor successfully the first time. This video saved me a lot of headaches and a lot of money. Huge thank you!
The motor worked with the 9v battery, and afterwards everything worked fine, so thanks for the video! 👌 great step by step tutorial
Thanks for the video! It helped us fix our laser sensor. In our case, we believe something got jammed in the motor inside, and either by force turning it by hand once the sensor enclosure was removed, or by blowing inside the motor area with compressed air, must have removed the obstacle and the unit resumed working perfectly.
Thank you so much for this take apart tutorial. I had a single grain of rice stuck in the spinning laser contraption and it took down the whole system. Took it apart and fixed the whole unit.
Thanks to your video, i was able to fix my s50 without breaking anything. All the best.
Thank you. Step one did it. Take apart, clean, reconnect so connections, now little helper is humming along nicely again.
Straight to the point , simply to follow instructions, excellent
Thank you so much! I was able to fix it before breaking it apart. It had a tiny piece of silicone stuck making it difficult to rotate. You are a life saver!
super helpful , easy to understand, and straight to the point ! thank you so much ! no way i could have figured it out without this video !
Thanks Nick! I got this error, found your video, and was quickly up and running again. I was sure this was going to be a huge problem to fix, but it was a quick fix thanks to you. I really appreciate your help!
Great video, I just followed the clear directions and got my Roborock fixed. Thanks!
Thank you so much for your tutorial! Easy to follow along while watching. Now my vacuum finally vacuums again 😊
Thank you for the battery hack. I've tried many things and was about to order LDS online when I saw ur video and gave a last try.Thank you for your video Nick. It saved money and time..
Thank you so much for this video ❤️!!!!It saved me
money and hassle to look for a new vacuum . I was about to give up and through to garbage my roborock vacuum .I thought I did everything since I changed all filters and dusted off, except that small part where motor is there have been nit cleaned . Now is working like new ☺️
You're the best! Thanks so much for making the video - this fixed our error 1 problem.
Hey thanks for the video. Your advice helped. Now we’re crossing our fingers that the Roborock runs problem free longer!
Thanks for the tips Nick!
I don't know if anyone is still fixing those, but if you don't have a battery handy just use one of the USB cables hanging around, cut the NOT USB end, and expose two wires, red and black. Plug USB into your PC or any unit that has USB outputs and connect the exposed ends to your Roborock motor and if it is any good it will start spinning like new! Fixed my old Roborock twice like that.
Thank you for this !
Thank you so much! I fixed my old roborock like this
Thanks, connecting a 9V battery helped! It worked the second time - the first time I connected the battery to the motor for a short time and the vacuum cleaner worked for 30 minutes, then error 1 occurred again. The second time I connected the battery to the motor for a longer time and now everything works.
Thanks for your help. This was a lifesaver. It worked. No need to replace motor. Brilliant video.
Worked for me!
Taking apart the module, using battery to start the engine and assembling the module back did the trick
Many thanks for your clear and educational video! You helped me fix the problem ☺️ 🙏
Thanks for the video. We just fixed our error 1 on our S5.
Thanks a lot.. I followed the procedure and found the belt of motor was staked with a small stick..
Checked and cleaned as suggested, and cleaner comebacked to normal . Thanks so much..
Thank you for this.
I took too much of it apart, trying to get to the bottom of the red laser disk, but that was not necessary, as it’s rather complicated in the end and it looks fairly isolated from debris, my problem was hair on the axis of the motor, slowing it down.
Thank you for the video! My roborock's laser head was moving but it still gave this error 1. The problem in my case was a lot of cat hair around the stick of that module that you proposed to replace. I removed them and cleaned everything from dust and error disappeared! I can live in a clean house again 😄 Thank you again :)
dog hair, here, they are thicker and harder than my cat's :P
Thanks! It help me solve my error 1. I had dust in the engine that made the laser struggle to rotate. Tumbs up for the quality and your recording/audio too.
Damn, jump start works using 9V battery!! No need for new motor and laser. May god bless your good deed in giving this useful information
Thank you! taking the laser unit apart and checking with the battery was enough and fixed it ! 🙏
Same for me.
Thank you so much. I only had to follow the first step and got all sorted!
Thank you, great video just fixed the error 1 on my Roborock
Very very thank you for this vid. I was so sad cos of my robot's error. But after watching your vid, I'm sooo happy. It took me for ten minutes to correct my robot. God bless you💯👏👏
Just fix mine today with your help. Thanks a lot :)
Thank you thank you! That did the trick on the first try. Didn’t even have a 9-Volt to test but it worked 😊
My kid dropped a potted plant on the vacuum - this helped me clear it out. Thank you!
Thank you! I fixed my S6 roborock just by diaassembling the motor and sensor and turning it with 9V battere. Put it back and it works.
Worked like a charm. Thank you for sharing this tip
Thank you very much my friend! It saved me hundreds of dollars!
Thank you! I changed the piecr ans following your tutorial I fixed it!
Thanks! Very helpful. After disassembly and successful test with 9v battery the unit seems to work fine again.
Thank you so much! My vacuum is a different model than yours but close enough that it didn’t matter. I was wondering why the vacuum was wandering around my house before it just refused to move! Swabbed out the interior and it’s functioning again!
Thanks worked great 😊. Love from Sweden🇸🇪
Thank you, your video helped me to unclog the Sensor.
Vielen Dank für das Video. Hat bei mir geholfen. Der LDS dreht sich wieder. 👍👍👍
Thank you so much for so in depth instruction.
Thanks for the vid, the first step fixed my error.
Thank you for the video. It solved my issue within seconds.
Thank you!!! There was a tiny piece of grape stem sitting between the top of the laser piece and cover piece. 🙏🏻
Ty i spinned the top part and blowed and it works again amazing video
Thanks, I had a seed stuck in there so was literally done before the vid finished 😅 very helpful and it's easy enough when you pop the top , she'll be getting more a thorough cleaning now😂
Thank you for the informative video. It resolved the issue!
Nice video! Motor was fine but dust build-up (VERY little but visible with flashlight in LED & sensor) was apparent problem. Upon testing after using a lens cleaning wipe on a plastic straw to push in & turn a few times (into LED port & sensor port) "Robby" was seeing fine again and finised his cleaning chores.
This helped me! I appreciate the video upload.
Thank you for this video!
This was an amazing tutorial! Thank you so much! It saved me so much time and money with costumer service!
Thank you! This solved the problem
Thanks so much for this video, a real life saver
Thanks a lot. I fixed it with your tutorial!
Thanks for the video. I cleaned the sensor, but eventually unscrewed the housing and found a shard of glass stuck against the edge of the sensor housing.
Thank you!! I was able to fix our vaccume using this :)
God bless you mate :D I just "resolved" my made :)))
thank you very much, i found a piece of dry plant in Laser motor, removing it helped recover from error
Thanks for the vid. My roborock is working again 😊
Some rubbel was stuck somewhere in the motor
Just used this video to fix my robot , thanks 😊
Great video. Fixed our Error 1. Your "Hey Google" command at 3:03 turned on my torn-apart S5 🤦♂
Same here. Great video but you might want to edit out the "Hey Google"
Hahahaha same here! Starting roborock s5 in the bedroom 😂🤣
Thanks so much for the help. My rubber band had slipped off the spool.
It worked and it was easy to do!
Appreciate the info! It helped! Cheers!
Thank you kind stranger! 🥰
Thanks mate, this saved me some bucks :)
One more fixed Roborock. Thx!
thanks! it helped, just some cleanup of the laser motor and WD-40 magic
Thank you! I got a new motor, but the old one just needed a 9v battery restart😎
Best video ever
I fixed mine. All that was needed was to get the switch out and back in, after cleaning a bit, not sure if cleaning did anything but seems to be working now!
Thank you very much❤
God bless you
thank you very much! My problem came to be more simple, there were lots of dog hair under the laser distance sensor! Your guidance helped me to open the front cover and clean the area.
Helped! Had something in my lidar.
It really helped
It worked easy thanks
Same here, thankyou for the video. 14€ repair💪
Thank you!
Awesome! Thanks very much.
Thanks! In our case all it took was to gently rotate the LiDAR tower!
Is there a way to adjust the aim on the laser? I have 2 S7 MaxVs, and one aims a lot higher than the other (evidenced by mapping out the bottom of furniture when far away, then 'unmapping' them as it gets closer.
My LDS was acting up and was having problems spinning. I opened the vacuum like the person in the video did, and i greased up the orange rubber band thingy on the motor (the band that makes it spin) with some WD40 and now its working perfectly again.
Thank god the only thing I had to do was blowing air into the lasers and it fixed it
Found a small rock that somehow was stuck under the lidar. Thanks!!!
Hey nick could you help me rebuild a rear shock ??
Thank you 👍👍🙏
Why is that chargee port there? Can you charge de LDS sensor? Cause i have same issue.
Note that the removing white cover on top of lds screws voids the warrenty. In my country roborock has 1 year warrenty but lds has 2 years so check before you void your warrenty. You may be able to get full lds replacement for free.
Thanks for the video... I fixed the error 1 using the battery and it worked perfectly well.
What size screwdriver do you use to remove the final two screws to replace the LDS? I have a PH0 and PH00 and neither work.
@ftlech Hey mate, did you manage to find the right screwdriver? I'm on the same boat.
my screw heads came fucked. i bought a replacement motor and i can’t unscrew the old one
I was trying to screw the motor back in place but I accidentally dropped the screw through the holes. Any way I can take out more than just the motor? Like deeper inside? Hais.
it works
got any help for Luna Pro ?
Mine also fixed, all for the price of a 9v battery😁👌
The last time a drop of oil made it run two more years. This time I replaced it with a spare motor I ordered last time. The replaced motor can still run, maybe it needs another drop of oil. I keep it as a spare.
This fixed mine for a minute but then an internal error occurred again… any suggestion?
