The 990 is basically the same construction just shorter. This means the tip of the fin is less fragile. I maintain my L1090 blades after every session to keep the edge detuned of any burrs.
What's your weight? Soft or medium flex? Thank you
I am 165lbs. and these are medium flex. (30) I wouldn't use the soft unless your very petite.
