Rosicky shoulve worn 10 when he arrives. Hleb shouldve converted to 7 after Pires left. Gallas should take 3 when he areives a season before. Sagna came this season he shouldve wore 13 or other numbers. Gallas 10 is stupid

@@Floppy-Phallus Wenger was budget for budget a better manager than Ferguson, so not sure where this 3 times the manager business is coming from???? What are you smoking? The only reason Wenger and Arsenal fell off from challenging was because of the Stadium move and the boardroom politics in the background, there was basically a war going on back there and Arsenal were in an awkward position with releasing funds. They naturally couldn't air their dirty laundry out in public, so from the outside it looked like they weren't spending because they were clueless and in decline, but that's not what was really going on. You give Ferguson a little bit too much credit, he always bought his way to titles with really expensive obvious signings. I'm not saying he wasn't a good manager either, just saying Wenger proved how good he was by winning titles on a shoestring budget. Ferguson never ever did that and when you think about it, Arsenal had no business challenging or beating Man Utd to league titles, but Wenger still managed it. Manchester United 07/08 Season Review will be next
Thank you
Rosicky x Hleb was pure class duo
This is the season I started supporting Arsenal as a 6/7 year old. Probably the wrong season as I vividly remember Henry leaving.
Bro me too
We were so unlucky that season in missing out on the PL title despite playing great football and scoring great goals.
It was so unfortunate that David Dein left he knew, how,to negotiate to get new players for our club.
The fact that Galas asked for number 10 jersey and Wenger must have been like "yeah, why not?" is still mind blowing
Because Wenger is kinda perfectionist. He always tried to make number order without gaps. The same thing did Ferguson, real madrid and Barcelona. As soon as a number within 1-11 was free. A player with high number got 1-11 number
They're just numbers
@@gcgcgcgwell they are not just a numbers. Especially when number 10 was season ago worn by club icon / legend Bergkamp. It was Gallas’s arrogance to ask for that number, but also Wenger’s stupidity. He even made that nutcase a captain after Henry left, instead of club icon Gilberto Silva. Horrendous of Wenger to do that…
Rosicky shoulve worn 10 when he arrives. Hleb shouldve converted to 7 after Pires left. Gallas should take 3 when he areives a season before. Sagna came this season he shouldve wore 13 or other numbers. Gallas 10 is stupid
Thanks for posting this. 07 was the first year I became an Arsenal fan. I remember this vividly.
And now we may finally get our redemption for the lost title in 2007-08 this season. Although having said that, it was around March when the wheels fell off during that season ...
April this time is when the shit hit the fan. So sad
we got this year?
This was the season that started arsenal's decade plus long decline. Things are just starting to look up
Very well said my friend if we had of won the title that season things would have been so different for Wenger and his team of youngsters
When eduardo broke his leg 23:41, that time arsenal start to fall. They should win the title that season, but all player mental were down.
United were always going to win the league.
@@Floppy-Phallus Can't really say that, Arsenal had the chance to go something like 9 points clear that day and the penalty that led to two points dropped right at the last minute was never a penalty, you saw on slow motion that Clichy nicked the ball away.
Arsenal take 3 points that day and heads wouldn't have dropped to the same extent and Man Utd have a bigger mountain to climb, the margins in football are fine.
Arsenal were the best team in the league that season until that BS happened at Birmingham.
@@Longlostpuss Fergie was 3 times the manager Wenger ever was..simple as that...United were always going to win the league..Wenger lost his winning touch where as Fergie never did over a much longer period of time.
So if anything, he was three times the manager Ferguson was, because he had to work MUCH harder to dethrone Man Utd to the titles Arsenal won.
@@Floppy-Phallus 3 times? You're over exaggerating fam

How did they not win the premier league title in that season ?
Arsenal start fall when eduardo broke his leg, the main reason why they not win that years.
Cause United was better. Ronaldo, Rooney, Tevez. Was only one winner
@@seank135who told you united was better, Arsenal was better in all criteria unluckily we didn't win because of Eduardo's injury. It brought our morals down. What a tumultuous injury Eduardo had then
@@didactvani my eyes told me. Ronaldo, rooney, tevez. And unlike Arsenal, that United team never made excuses. They scored more goals, they conceded less goals, they won more games, they won more trophies. They won the champions league without loosing a game in it. They were better on whatever metric you measure them buy. Which is why they played Arsenal 3 times that season. Beat them twice ( one of which was 4-0) and in the other Arsenal scraped a draw in the last minute. That united team was far superior. The table and results and trophies don’t lie.

Had Eduardo not get that injury, Croatia would have won Euro 2008.
Nah … come on mate… Spaniards were just different beasts😂
Whole season went down hill after Eduardo broke his leg. Was a truly horrific tackle.
For people saying that’s not why Arsenal didn’t win the league, then take anyone of Rooney, Tevez or Ronaldo and apply the same injury and I doubt Utd would of won the league.
Atrocious referring till now. Arteta has reduced the number of tackles and tried to keep the ball more and play faster. Pretty much how we gone done last season same shit different day. Lets forget to draw a line, blind miss penalties , phantom penalties to opposition etc. And hard tackles not given yellows inured our players like last season.
Ngl I think Man utd had a stronger mentality than us, Fergie wouldn't allow utd to lose focus like that, there's no room for excuses when you chasing trophies, you either win at all costs or lose and make excuses
You’re insanely delusional if you think that ffs. Plus even comparing Eduardo to any one of those players is disgraceful, all of those players were injured at some point during that season too & we made it work lol can’t believe u acc tried to say something so dumb 🤣 Guess we wouldn’t had won the UCL either ay? 😂

Loved that side of 07/08. The football that season going forward with the likes of Fabregas, Rosicky, Hleb, Walcott, Van Persie & Adebayor was absolutely scintillating. The precision of those intricate & incisive one touch/two touch interchanges, movement off the ball and build up play in the final third at times was utterly breathtaking. Fine margins. We completely imploded from gameweek 27-34. What could have been 😔.
So amazing to see when Arsenal had such good times back then under Wenger and to see how far they came with some of the most incredible players that will never be forgotten and some of the goals and chances they created back then were absolutely amazing. Really wish Arsenal could go back to being the old team they were creating insane chances scoring such incredible goals because it really doesn't feel the same anymore the whole team has changed.

Just let that sink in. Absolutely frightening 😲.
●Only he and Evan Ferguson have 10+ goals/assists to there names as 18 year olds in the Premier League era who weren't from England. Had to get that one in as an Irishman 😄.
