I think a solution for the out of bounds dilemma is either make out of bounds not out of bounds at all or make it actual "out bounds" after a certain time limit. If people are gonna keep hiding in out of bounds maybe you should make those OFB actual places where you can access without the need of any particular glitches. Makes some OFB actual hiding spots on the map My second solution is like the rule you propuse at the start where after 7 minutes you can't hide OOB anymore. After the certain time limit, all the places which are "out of bounds" actually become out of bounds, which means that Lakitu would catch them and return them into the road. I don't know if it's possible or how hard it is to program but it could be cool P.D: my favorite hide n seek is 5 minutes infested battle map

If it can be hard-coded that anyone in an out of bounds area is removed at 3-5 minutes left, then that seems like a fair solution, otherwise it might be simpler to have two categories of hide and seek; one which is restricted and one which is anything goes.
This is going to be my favorite set of retro hide and seek tracks since my first mariokart was 7. The rounds I enjoy the most are the ones like cheep cheep lagoon where it's really tense and you're constantly trying to escape from the seeker.

To comment to the tripple mushroom counter, I think that if you get more then 20 items in an online race all you get after that is a single mushroom. Though I dunno if there are any changes in the mod to this. I guess it is to prevent item spam from the last place.

Love these!! If I can make one recommendation: as much as I normally really appreciate chapter timestamps on RUclips videos, on a video like this they kind of serve as spoilers for each round. Like, if you’re in a tough spot and it looks like they might be about to catch you, I can see that there’s still three minutes left in that chapter so I know you aren’t actually about to be caught. I guess this wouldn’t really be an issue if you’re playing in infection mode. Again, just a suggestion so feel free to totally ignore this :)
I really like the little snippets showing the out of bounds spots you didn’t make in video. Those were v cool and interesting!
