- Guide how to defeat all bosses in Final Fight with Cody. Multiple methods shown. Played on hardest difficulty.
This is similar video to one with Guy. I planned this one for a longer time and finally managed to finish it. Like my Guy vs bosses video, this video shows multiple methods to beat all bosses in Final Fight (Arcade version) with Cody. I tried to show all methods and tricks that I know.
DAMND
- Basic method, use everything.
- Shifting (infinite combo), where you can kill boss without giving him chance to call his gang.
SODOM
- Rapid punching method: First method that I've learned as a kid. Not the best one.
- Single punch method: This is pretty good method.
- Vertical method: Interesting but not the best way to fight.
- Pick-up method: Very good method.
- Ropes method: Very risky and differs depending of difficulty.
- Flying knee method: The best and the fastest method.
- Shifting: Very long and difficult. Autofire button is advised.
EDI.E
- Pipe method: It's decent method to beat him.
- Kicks method: Good one too.
- Fighting EDI.E alone: The best and easiest.
. Shifting: The coolest method, but autofire is advisable.
ROLENTO
- Kicks method: Ok, method. Kick him away and wait for his jumps to grab him.
- Weapon method: Same as kicking.
- Shifting: Very fast method for Rolento.
ABIGAIL
- Weapon method: A bit hard since Cody is not fast with swords and pipes.
- Bare hands: This is the best one.
- Shifting: Difficult because of his gang.
BELGER
- Basic bare hands method: The usual approach to this boss. Not easy.
- Shifting: Tricky method. It's hard to catch Belger into it.
- 6 knives method: Long but it's maybe the most secure method. You can play with boss later.
And that's about it.

the 6 knives method is absolutely hysterical. how could anyone even discover this method.
hahahaha, I wanted to ask the same question...it's ridiculous.
+combatantlife I recommend picking up a knife at prior scene (which IMO is by far the hardest part of the game with 8 folks on both sides). Once you have a knife, knee-kick him twice and throw, keep stabbing and Belger's life bar goes down very quickly. Toward the end keep spinning kick and not waste time with other folks. "The 6 Knives" is anything but secure, Cody was nearly finished.
because only 6 weapons can appear at a time. even the guys with knives dont throw knives when there are 6 weapons in the screen. it happens in many games actually. for example, in vertical shooters, only certain numbers of items can appear at a time. otherwise, the game slows down or some characters disappear.

Very well done! I mainly play Haggar myself, I also made a 1cc guide for him as well. I first saw that Belgar knife technique when I on holiday in Tokyo in 09', it blew my mind! :) It's actually possible to get 6 knives from one knifeman by grabbing him and letting the grab time-out and then re-grabbing him again, because every time you grab him when he's holding a knife he drops it, and by just timing out the grab he doesn't take any damage.

Yea, Haggar is powerful. I was playing with him for some time, got bored, then switched to Guy. The movement speed difference is amazing.

Basically, shifting is the ultimate way to kill every boss
the 0 damage method.
I have seen it used in many 0 damage play throughs due to it's effectiveness of stopping a boss in place
the real champs are those who don't use it
I played Final Fight and I practiced shifting by punching continusly and moving the stick back and forth

Great video, man! I especially like the kicks strategy you employed against Edi.E. It was, by far, the most difficult method to beat him for me. Your timing has to be perfect in order to avoid punches from Edi's company and Edi himself..

Anyone else think it's kinda gross that you can pick up Edi E's gum that he spits out and eat it for health?
It's gross as fuck. Worse it restores more health than the regular gum. :|

Well this is the same game where you can find a KATANA from the legendary swordsmith Murmasa in a freaking PHONE booth. Oh, and somehow Sodom got his hands on two Masamune swords. I don't know why I find that any more ridiculous than finding a fully cooked chicken inside a steel drum, but I do.

For fighting Sodom, the shifting method is the most time-consuming method.
The end 6 knives method is just a crazy solution... omg respect for the first person haved find this solution!

Very good indeed, still trying to beat the game without dying, so I always check those kind videos (final fight longplay - no death) You can also kill Sodom with his sword too.
I always thought the level 1 boss's name was "Damno"

Anyone else notice the faint music in Belger's scream sample? I wonder where they stole that from... Otherwise, amazing video- picked up some good tips on this. The infinite punch is hard to do consistently without goofing it up, I guess the trick is not to think about it.
Yes I definitely noticed the scream - its followed by a weird clicking noise then the faint sound of a harp. I tried Googling to see if anyone had an idea where the sample was lifted from and no one has a clue. It could be from ANY movie pre-1989, as long it involves someone falling to their death at some point.
Maybe it is from Star Wars .
It kinda sounds Palpatine's scream when Darth Vader kills him in Return of the Jedi

is this played on a PC or on a arcade machine. If on PC where did you play it ? I am beating the shit out of the punch button, but I cant go making those fast punches you do to hit bosses every time they run at me
PC, keyboard , mameuifx32 emulator (version of MAME) with autofire enabled :). Yeah, I'm using autofire in this video, but it's not that hard without it (except for sodom who is almost impossible). For example, my 10 year old nephew can beat first boss with shifting and he played game literary 15 or 20 times.

Who's the hardest boss? Just by watching Abigail seems to be really tough.
Kavin Iyengar Of course, you're really good, so you made that look easy, but you took damage on Abigail when you didn't on any of the others (at least I don't think you did...)
Kavin Iyengar I guess he's not harder than rest of bosses, but at time of recording this video I was not that much good at this game. But, he has his own attack pattern and when you learn it , he becames predictable. Also, other bosses you can (more or less) fight alone.

I think neither, just coding logic. Think, if there was no such thing, there would be too many items on floor and that would spent memory resources what would cause slow downs and probably crushing of game.

I usualy shifting method
The rapid punch with Sodom doesn't always work, no matter as fast as i press the punch button hahahaha i hit him but he still hits me as well and Cody falls back
It's the shittiest attempt to stop Sodom, I know. When we where kids, this was only that we where doing in a panic. One timed punch however, is very reliable and it makes joke out of boss.

Don't go directly on him because he will grab or punch you. Stay away, go up and down. If he gets angry and runs on you - use kick.
@@OneCoinArcade i finally beat him without losing a life, but with the sword, when his gang came up i stand under the statue of liberty in the middle of the screen and start slashing non-stop with the sword but when he was alone he still somehow punched me and i lost the sword but i managed to catch him and throw him in the corner 2-3 times before the fatmen came up :))
It's easy for me when he's alone, i know how to catch him from above or below neel him 2 times then throw him in the corner and repeat...but when his gang comes up it gets hard for me.

@@ahobaker9619 Going up and down to avoid being hit by arrows. But he has two ways of following you and conveniently both are shown at the beginning of that fight :
1) 16:50 straight jump in front of you - allow him to land on feet and then punch him (you can than use shifting, or throwing) , but don't stay to close otherwise falling arrows will hit you.
2) 16:56 slowly coming to you with small diagonal jumps with attempt ambush you from back.
Other than that I don't remember that he has something else in repertoire.

If six knives are on the floor, then enemies don't shoot projectiles (EDI.E bullets, Belger arrows, Hollywood and El Gado knives). It is probably to prevent accumulation of items on the screen and I think that it works for any six items on the floor.

@@ignaciojanerlopez5308 the arcade machines where I played Final Fight when I was young always have the third button connected, but they had no autofire. So a 10 year old boy playing in arcades was cheating? Mmmmm nice
@@con5duros anyway, button 3 has been never included in Final Fight original cabinets, console ports... Without this cheat, some final bosses than Rolento and Abigail are extremely difficult.
Don t care about that, just play games in the way you enjoy them, thats the goal!
@@ignaciojanerlopez5308 It's not a cheat, the original Final Fight Jamma has it wired. If that button is a cheat Playing Street Fighter 2 in a 3 button cabinets is also a cheat. Even Mame team has different considerations about that third Button, in same Mame revisions the word cheat thats not appear. And in the ones that appear has () because it is not really a cheat, a cheat involves changes in the original code or pinout. And I Agree Everybody should play videogames in the way that he wants, but when you make a video for youtube and you use any kind of tool assist for helping you playing you should tell it, and this video do not say that is using AUTOFIRE in the information. And he is obviouslly using it. The Third Button in Final Fight is not such a huge help..if you know that you can not use it, there are many other techniques that you can use even with Abigail or Rolento, they are really easy to execute. But Autofire is a huge advantage in this game it's totally different to use it or to not use it. And not just in one or two bosses, the entire game is much easier using autofire. So yes there's no problem using it, every one should play has he wants, but I repeat if you are going to make a Video for an audience you should tell the truth about how you play the game and do not miss any crucial information, because if you do not so that is really cheating.

Actually it's on double hardest, there are two difficulty switches in final fight settings.
