Marissa Anderson, it’s a year later, but you know, if your class decides to do oil lamps each, then your instructor should be able to arrange for you to have the appropriate clay body for that project; I see no reason why you couldn’t use A different class for the same project type. You’re not looking to Make a historically accurate replica; you just want to use the technique. In that case, as long as you can build the project, he probably won’t matter that you didn’t have to use authentic techniques from back in the day to harvest and render the clay suitable for use using kilns of the day. That being said, I’m betting you already made one. How did it turn out?
Blest be you for this video. Ashrai... happy, healthy, and rich..for this. Does the TRICK! Waaay above my head!
Thank very much. I will use your video to make the lamp. God Bless you and tour family too.

¡Me encantó, muchísimas gracias por compartir! Saludos desde Madrid-España
Thanks for this helpful how to - we're excited to make these. Do you put a wick in the top with the oil to light?
What are the materials needed? I just loved!!!!❤
Bloody well done.
Thankyou this is wonderful
Beautiful. Do you fire them? What type of clay are you using? Will they hold oil without leaking?
Thank you 💜
Yes I fired them to cone 5.
And I am using clay for cone 5👍
After the fire they can use for oil.
So I work with clay in school and really want to make an oil lamp, but we use cone 10. Is it best to use a low fire clay?
