I felt the same way about the original song by Oliver Anthony. We so need these Thomas Paine voices now. We the people must take our country back or be totally controlled. The minimum age to receive social security is 62... with high penalties for retiring that young. So if you start working at 17 (like most people) it will take 45 years (at a minimum) to be able to retire.

i very much differentiate between republican and conservative. the parties democrats and republicans are the vehicle/organizations that which people use to achieve that goal. but what i've noticed is a lot of the new age liberals are hard left socialists/communists. and they literally march in lock step. but a great deal of the conservatives/Biblical conservatives will vote according to the individual.. not the party. a HUGE difference if you think about it. one seems to operate in a hive mentality and if you step out of line you are suddenly called an "other" but on my side of thinking we try to at least reason or negotiate. now i'm not saying we got all perfect people. we have our own special ed's xD but those tend to keep to themselves out on private property and tell people to shove off or they'll develop a taste for lead :P
The 45 years part was referring to you start work at 18 fresh out of high school, work for 45 years, then retire when you're 63 and you've worked and slaved so long you're now too old to enjoy it.
If you don't raise your kids, somebody else will (schools, government, gangs etc). Parents need to set rules and boundaries of wrong and right behaviour .
The problem is we have lost the ability to live with people with different views. We have lost the ability to debate. We should be able to agree to disagree and that is OK.
